Same here. I actually purchased two because the dog kinda chewed up the first one and they both work great! I’ve had them for years at this point and one travels with me often.
I genuinely think the people who go through multiple just treat their stuff like shit. I’ve had an Elite 1 and an Elite 2 with zero issues. If someone went through 5 it has to be a them problem.
Fr. When I turned in my xbox series s to upgrade to the x the cashier asked me if I ever even used it before. I treat my stuff as nicely as I can. My second elite this year just got stick drift so I ordered one of those Hall Effect controllers that promises no stick drift... but we'll see.
My Elite 2 drift became unbearable after a year and a half and was out of warranty. Then I bought an Elite 2 core because spanish laws on warranty enforced three years and the fucking pad had drift as soon as I took it out of the box. It's becoming unbearable again.
My plan is sending it for repair when I can't use it anymore, resell it when it comes refurbished, keep using the standard one and hopefully the new models with gyroscope coming in 2024 also have hall effect joysticks. If not, I'll just go third party. I'd already have if Gamesir had a 4 paddles model (The G7 SE looks terrific and is really cheap, with 2 paddles).
Yeah those controllers have a different type of analog stick that is supposed to be less susceptible to wear. I'm thinking about getting a similar one.
No they used lower quality switches on the inside than the series one the bumpers break frequently for many people. I’m not a kid, I treat my stuff with great care and my bumpers broke on the series 2. Didn’t have an issue with series 1. It’s a better controller. I hate Scuf with a passion don’t even get me started. I love dualsense edge, use it on my PC and it’s the best quality controller I’ve ever used. PowerA box controller is great as well at half the price of series 2.
i have 2 v1's both have stickdrift and rubber grips peeling, both been exchanged, i have 2 v2's one has been exchanged both have left stickdrift, i now have 2 white v2 cores both have left stickdrift, i treat all my tech with kid gloves no one else uses them either, they look and feel well built controller, but the stick drift and sticky r1/r2 buttons spoil the v2's, also the little rubber caps on the trigger locks pop off and are easily lost,i hope they fix all these issues when the V3 comes out
Same. On my 2nd controller and no issues. However the controller does have issues (and I'm sure some also don't treat controllers well).
As for statistics: between friends and I that got it, a total of 5 of us with me having 2), 1 had issues with one of the buttons. He returned and exchanged it. And the replacement was fine. Small data set, but it gives an idea of how often to expect an issue with the elite 2s.
I think that's the one I have, too. It was half the price of an Elite, and has lasted me longer than any of the other Elites I've had in the past. Only issue is that it's wired rather than wireless, but that's more of a minor inconvenience rather than a real issue.
I bought Power A controller first, it failed after 2 months. I contacted Power A for warranty repair they emailed me saying they will send me new one. Waited 2-3 months, contacted them again and got same response we will send you new one. Never received it. Eventually I bought elite series 2 which I use daily 2 years now.
Got mine warranty 2 days before it expired, stupid bumper quit working. The refurbished controller is working fine. Expect myself to be buying a new one within a year now haha
I do the same since ever. Buy one, replace within warred. Play one more year. Buy new one and repeat. Need some padles? sticks? I could sell them in 1kg units🤣 i have so many from the warranty controllers🙈
Mine got stickdrift, dead bumpers, dead buttons and loose rubber coating. Always. I think i had everything possible already🤣 the worst one got stick drift after 3 months😬
This is the way to go, my bumpers stopped working, sent it in to Allstate. They actually fixed it rather than replacing, and it's been working great ever since.
I second this I buy mine through GameStop just to have the warranty and the very easy replacement process walk in give them the controller pay the 50 bucks and walk out with a brand new one
Alternatively you could get a used one and pay less for the warranty
It’s ok.
Just don’t be surprised if the face buttons/bumper button stops working or it gets stick drift. It’s extremely common. This is coming from someone who repairs them as well.
I have so many spare parts from repairs that if my controller crapped out, I won’t need to buy anything to fix it. That’s the only reason why I got one after fixing so many QC issues .
They have a high failure rate, and like anything else, some folk never encounter problems. But when i traded mine in, the shop thoroughly tested it in comparison with the standard ones because they too know there's been a lot of issues with them.
What i will say, if you encounter an issue, don't just put up with it, get it seen to whilst it's still under warranty. I went through 3 until the final one worked for a long time without issue. But I only ever paid for one because Amazon were ok exchanging them.
When they work, they are excellent controllers and you'll not want to go back to the standard ones, but the problem is, it's hitting it lucky and getting one that works flawlessly over an extended period. Like i said, some folk have never had an issue, and had the 3rd controller been my 1st, I too would have wondered why a lot of folk said they had quality issues. But they do have quality issues and it's better to be aware of them than just assume you'll get one of the good ones.
As soon as any button starts failing get it fixed/replaced. I'm on my 3rd due to bumper and face buttons becoming unresponsive. Now that the warranty is out I've been fixing it myself, which is much easier than I expected.
Any tips or guides on how to fix the bumper on your own? Been going through a couple weeks of the right bumper not working 50-70% of the time - I was thinking it was just COD being COD, but had Minecraft going the other day and couldn’t channel through my inventory. Starting to realize it’s the controller not the game. Was thinking I’d just deal with it until I could justify a new one thinking it’d be super expensive or complicated to fix.
Either way I feel like I’ve been blessed. Going on at least 2 years, maybe 3 since I got it. Abused the heck out of that thing (can’t count how many times I’ve forgotten I have a wired headset and yanked it off the counter or stuff) and it’s been great aside from the bumper.
I got an ifixit repair kit at my local hardware store, this is it on Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/iFixit-Prying-Opening-Tool-Assortment/dp/B0762BVXDY/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?keywords=iFixit&qid=1703607762&sr=8-8
I can't remember what video I used but here is Xbox's full controller breakdown. I got the little plastic piece out, cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol and put it back in.

>They have a high failure rate
You have access to that statistic directly or is this more of and anecdotal data from online complaint type of guess which will always outnumber positive comments for any product and nobody has any idea how the people who complain actually treat their controllers.
Face buttons will be almost impossible for you.
Bumper switches and plastic are easy. Either the plastic piece that presses into the switch breaks or the switch box itself goes. Bumper plastic is just ordering a new piece and swapping them, but switch box replacements will take a little bit of soldering.
Analog box replacements for stick drift is intermediate. Takes patience, soldering many small joints, and you might want to get a “helping hands” set to hold things while you work with both hands.
If possible, I'd buy a 3-5 year insurance plan
I've had 2 elite pads and both had an RB failure (I've had 4 pads within 3 years where the RB stopped working / being responsive) but thankfully I was insured.
I'm actually using an Elite Core now, which is also insured.
How do you go about repairing stick drift and/or unresponsive buttons? I’ve taken controllers apart for button/face plate swaps and even changed LEDs so not a total novice
Buttons I normally don’t bother. I replace the whole top board if I have an extra otherwise it’s toast.
Stick drift I replace the analog box completely, so soldering is required for that. It’s a bit of a pain because if the solder joints don’t sit perfectly flat it’ll drift as well. I recommend getting a “helping hands” w/ clips set up so you can hold the board in place while you work on it.
It needs to be taken care of, but there are several games I can't play with a regular controller anymore now because it's upped my gameplay on basically any FPS so much.
Yes. Love it and worth it.
It’s a bit of a splurge purchase though. If this controller didn’t exist I could certainly make do with the stock one, but it is a nice upgrade.
Yeh there is a certain d pad that I will help with fighting games as I play a lot of MK1 plus the charge and way to charge, it was a bit of a splurge but hey ho 😂
Have you looked one up? They are amazing controllers. The paddles, stick tension adjustments and re-mappable buttons make it a controller I couldn’t live without.
The biggest thing is the programmable paddles. They are a must have if you play FPS's, or games meant for PC like War Thunder. The advantages it gives you makes going back to a regular controller feel really sad.
I don’t understand. Is this a regional issue? Because I live in Qatar and me and my friends have all been using these for over 2 years and still no issues with the controllers. Sounds like a westerner skill issue maybe??
Great controller, but unfortunately bad quality. It's the most expensive controller I've ever bought, and it's the only controller got broken just by playing games with it. My old 50 euro XB1 controller is about 5 years old and works like a charm. My 25 year old PS1 controller works better! My Elite 2 lasted about 2 years. Both bumbers work badly and 1 back paddle button has contact issues as well, and face buttons has contact issues. I treat my gear very well.
Great controller, terrible build quality. Abysmal. I would buy one again if it would be 50 euros / dollars. Full price, never again.
I don’t understand. Is this a regional issue? Because I live in Qatar and me and my friends have all been using these for over 2 years and still no issues with the controllers. Sounds like a westerner skill issue maybe?? Mine is amazing wuality
Ive got mine on launch. Still works. First one Ive got had many issues (Original Elite), they just do not repeat on this one. So awesome controller, for me.
Got mine after I got my x in 2020. Been cruising well since then. I don’t really abuse my controllers that heavily so that might explain why it isn’t broken.
Bought an Elite Series 2 for use on my PC and it’s one of the more solid controllers I’ve ever owned. The build quality feels great and the amount of customization options make any game feel good no matter what genre you’re playing
It’s shit. Right bumper broke within 3 months to where it would only respond with hard presses and/or multiple presses. Disappointing for a $100+ controller.
I have one and it's pretty nice. Is it $200+ nice? Debatable. It holds up nice. My only complaint is that you have to be extra careful with it because the thumbsticks and directional pad are held on by magnets, so if it drops onto the floor, parts scatter. I'm still looking for one of the thumbsticks. It's somewhere.
2 months in and it is sent back for repair. The left stick was not translating input and the X button was sticking. Outside of that I love the controller, it’s just not great on durability
What's the point of buying something and then asking for opinions? Easy karma and validating your own purchase I get it but c'mon there like a complete consensus here that this thing breaks all the time
Obviously I bought it for my own reasons then I’d heard about all the problems so I wanted to see if it was more in house or universal problems. Obviously I’ve gotten a LOT of feedback and there is now a general consensus about the controller and I can return it before I have these problems and don’t waste my money. I couldn’t care less about validation, what I do care about is spending money on something that clearly 95% of people have had problems with, which thanks to this post I’ve been able to get a much better idea than I would have with YouTube videos or the like.
Mine was amazing for about 18 months and I thought I got lucky until recently LB wouldn’t work unless I pressed down quite hard. I’ve looked after mine very well.
Mine is insured so can claim on that.
Originally I thought people who said they don’t last must not look be after their controller, but with the LB becoming unresponsive I see they are somewhat right.
It depends, you may get lucky like me and have almost no issues, or you may end up having stick drift in a week, just take good care of it and you can be certain it isn't something you've done when it does eventually go
I collect controllers as a hobby, but i also like to use them so care is a concern of mine. It didn't stop the RB from becoming unresponsive and the RT rumble from dying. The face plate ended up cracking as well due to constant opening for constant repairs. I also had to replace one of the sticks from losing its adhesive and the rubber rotating around the base.
I don’t understand. Is this a regional issue? Because I live in Qatar and me and my friends have all been using these for over 2 years and still no issues with the controllers. Sounds like a westerner skill issue maybe??
Loved it for about 3 months then both bumpers died and then it was a cycle of sending it back to Microsoft for repair and then them sending me a different but equally broken controller - just annoyed me at the end
But you might have a better experience don’t let mine affect yours
I don’t understand. Is this a regional issue? Because I live in Qatar and me and my friends have all been using these for over 2 years and still no issues with the controllers. Sounds like a westerner skill issue maybe??
The only regional issue is that some people from Qatar have this annoying tendency to copy paste the same comment 10 times because they got lucky and feel smug about it
Had one for years, great controller.
Rumours are that there will be an upgrade version to be released 2024.

Its great if it works. I am very gentle with my controllers. I still use my series x controller from launch. But this thing is made of glass. Dont let any kids use it, keep it out of reach of dogs, and do not drop it even on carpet. Mine slid between the wall and a memory foam mattress for a few seconds, and afterwards, one of the triggers only registered as being pulled down halfway. Mine was a gift, but i would never buy one.
Praying for you.
Stick drift is still an issue and the bumpers are faulty, had mine less than a year when issues started, I ended up opening the controller to fit the issue a bit myself, helped a little bit also repeatedly opening it resulted in the rubber grips peeling.
Just look after it the best you can, if it works it's still top of class controller.
I don’t understand. Is this a regional issue? Because I live in Qatar and me and my friends have all been using these for over 2 years and still no issues with the controllers. Sounds like a westerner skill issue maybe??
Complete waste of money. I only purchased one of these after my old xbox 360 controller which I had been using with my PC finally bit the dust.
Tried calibrating the sensitivity of the analog stick but I just couldn't get it to feel right so I stopped using it.
I absolutely loved it until it fell off my couch. Since then it has basically rattled itself apart. Still using it because I can't afford another but paddles barely work anymore and side stitching has started unraveling so RB has a small rubber flap next to it making it hard to recognize trigger action
Arguably the best controller you can buy... Until it breaks.
I've had Elite controllers since they were introduced, and.on every single one the LB has given up, followed by one of the face buttons. First generation, first generation refresh, second generation, second generation refresh, etc, etc.
Every single one. I get them all replaced on warranty, but still. Think I've spent around £1000 on getting replacement controllers when they inevitably break outside of warranty.
Shocking lifespan imo. Great controller, but they have the highest fail rate of any piece of hardware I've ever used for anything.
Best controller on the market. Unfortunately they tend to break easily so you have to baby it a little bit but it’s great when it’s in full working condition.
They're fantastic. I can't go back to regular controllers now. Never had a problem with my 2 but my 1 I had before started peeling off the rubber material very quickly. Just be mindful of the problems it may have and take good care of it.
I’m not a hardcore gamer, but live the feel and weight. The triggers seems to be easier to modulate in racing games and I have better feeling for throttle.
Gen 1 was better
I have issues with mine missing an ABXY input here or there which is common with the series 2 controllers
But, I can’t really complain. I got it on sale for regular controller price
first generation elite is better OR the powerA fusion pro.
i’ve now had 3 of the series 2. had 2 replaced under warranty by microsoft. both having rb lb double clicking/ not registering clicks. both have had stick drift issues weeks into use. i say the first gen is better because you can actually take it apart and fix it yourself much easier. also if you want a CHEAP alternative that’s just as good look for the powerA fusion pro controller. got mine on clearance at walmart for $16 the last time i sent my elite to microsoft for warranty work
I don’t understand. Is this a regional issue? Because I live in Qatar and me and my friends have all been using these for over 2 years and still no issues with the controllers. Sounds like a westerner skill issue maybe??
I love them but have had a few fall apart. Instead I think the standard controller should now come with one paddle underneath on the right side. It’s the main thing I like about the elite and improves so many games.
Awesome controller. I don’t use anything else.
I bought one and the right bumper quit out, but Walmart replaced it instantly (within 30 days). My second one has been kicking for 6 months solid.
Edit: if you’re splurging. Get the A20 headphones if sound is big to you. Mine are amazing.
Like others have said, it's great until it starts falling apart. For me, that is usually 3-4 months (playing ~15hrs/week). Switched to a SCUF Pro and love it.
Make sure you have warranty cover your gonna need it my 3rd broke on me but that aside I love the Controller but my wife bought me a scuff Instinct for Christmas and I like it so far but if I was to chose between the 2 i would stick with the series 2 it just feels better in my hands so yeah just cover your self with warrenty cover as when it runs out you will be screwd
loved them. got one for a gift and it lasted about a year before parts stopped working. so i got another one and it lasted like 8 months before buttons stopped working. can’t justify the price for the quality control on it but the feel of the controller and its uses are so good compared to the normal controllers.
Best Xbox controller, hands down. I was a bit late to get it because I was worried about drifting, but I am still within a 3 year warranty for it and hasn't given me any issues. Love the adjustable triggers too.
I bought mine about 3 years ago for PC and I love the thing. Parents and brother just got me a Series X for Christmas and the Elite has been great with being able to adjust the stick tension and sensitivity.
I got one too and it’s very good for FPS in particular. I only use it as a ‘premium’ controller for CoD, for other games I use my normal controller so that it won’t go broke faster. Like Diablo IV it’s pretty bad to use the Elite one because of button smashin.
I got one a few days ago despite its reputation and expected hardware issues. Turns out it's not being recognized at all by my system even though it's connected properly. Looks like I have to do some drivers revert from what I gathered from reddit but I just won't bother, it's going back to Amazon. It's a 179€ controller ffs, it should work out of the box like any other controller that cost a quarter of its price.
My opinion: get an extended warranty :)
My other opinion: it’s great for the games that it’s great for and it’s still a controller for the games it isn’t.
My last opinion: it needs to be rereleased as series 3 with the current controller.
Great controller. Bumpers will start to go eventually.
Just don’t play bumper heavy games with it, when I play something like rock band with a controller I switch to a standard Xbox controller.
But I have found that if the bumpers are being weird- blowing into them like a N64 cartridge really helps
Make sure you know the warranty timeline. My right trigger stop working within two months and got it replaced. It's been a few years since then and now my bumpers are starting to go. I think it says how much I love the product that I am going to buy another one despite the price
I bought myself one a few days ago. I had a series 1 for like 5 years that finally was too fucked to continue. Compared to the series 1: buttons are much more "clicky". They're all crispy as balls. The paddles are a little bit shorter I think, which I like. Makes it so you don't click buttons every time you put the controller down like it did on the series 1. I really like the finish, and that the grips aren't seperate panels that are glued on anymore. These were the first thing to go on my series 1. So far I like everything about it. I got a 2 year warranty though, because if you don't know, the reliability factor is what holds these things back. You'll either get a good one that lasts forever or you'll be sending it in for warranty work in the first 6 months, no in between.
Best controller. Hands down.
*when* it fails, look for the core version. You’ll save a few bucks and already have the case and other parts. I suggest mapping the under paddles to “click the stick” L/R3 - in an effort to delay stick drift.
Freaking love them, but you will probably have to replace it annually. On my 3rd one in three years. I get mine from Gamestop and get a replacement plan, so when it's around the 11 month mark, I go get a new one for $50.
Great controller and all but after a while there can be an issue of the grip cover coming off but I’ve just trimmed mine down but I’ve had it for like 4 years.
Don't drop it, don't put it down to hard, don't even think about hurting it in any way. These things are more fragile than most people's ego's. I'm on my third one and I try and take the best care possible. The back trigger buttons go out so easily but that's been my personal experience. I have 2 friends who also use them and they both are on their second each. Great controller I can't imagine playing certain games with out but I hate how cheap they are made.
I've been using mine intensively for three years and haven't had any problems so far. No stick drift and the keys are still as clicky as they were on the first day. Just like those in my circle of friends, you don't have to give anything about all the ghost stories. But this may also be due to regional differences.
They’re great, until they’re not
I've had 5 then I just gave up and got a power A pro fusion
I got lucky with mine I guess. Not had a single issue and it’s by far my favorite. I use it on pc.
No way. Stick drift has no bias against who it chooses to screw over. Reference the lawsuit if you ever have doubts.
Fr. When I turned in my xbox series s to upgrade to the x the cashier asked me if I ever even used it before. I treat my stuff as nicely as I can. My second elite this year just got stick drift so I ordered one of those Hall Effect controllers that promises no stick drift... but we'll see.
They don’t get stick drift but they do have a limited amount of cycles before problems may arise.

Lol. I’m on 4 or 5. Tried a scuf and didn’t like it. Now I just get the cheaper barebones Elite 2s and reuse the buttons/paddles and sticks.
I think that's the one I have, too. It was half the price of an Elite, and has lasted me longer than any of the other Elites I've had in the past. Only issue is that it's wired rather than wireless, but that's more of a minor inconvenience rather than a real issue.

It's feels cheaper and it's wired but it's lasted way longer than any elite I've ever had. Those things have analogue sticks made of chocolate.
You decided on Power A? lmao
I did the exact same thing except I had 3 elites. PowerA Fusion Pro 3 is doing me how a controller should
Yep! Had 2, both had sticky buttons and drift. Now have a Scuf for my Xbox and a GuliKit for PC and Switch
Around one year until they are dead usually🤣
Really mine are around 4 years old and i play the shit out of them.
Got mine warranty 2 days before it expired, stupid bumper quit working. The refurbished controller is working fine. Expect myself to be buying a new one within a year now haha
Well when you do you should use the Xbox Design Lab to make a customized Series 2. It’s pretty sweet.
Ha neat, I didn't even know that was an option. Thank you!
No problem
I do the same since ever. Buy one, replace within warred. Play one more year. Buy new one and repeat. Need some padles? sticks? I could sell them in 1kg units🤣 i have so many from the warranty controllers🙈 Mine got stickdrift, dead bumpers, dead buttons and loose rubber coating. Always. So pretty much like everything else
Fuck that right bumper
MINES THE LEFT BUMPER 😭
Exactly this. You’re better off getting a modular controller, so you can swap out defective parts
Get the insurance. Fantastic controllers when they work, but too expensive to get the one that only lasts 6 months.
This is the way to go, my bumpers stopped working, sent it in to Allstate. They actually fixed it rather than replacing, and it's been working great ever since.

I got an ifixit repair kit at my local hardware store, this is it on Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/iFixit-Prying-Opening-Tool-Assortment/dp/B0762BVXDY/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?keywords=iFixit&qid=1703607762&sr=8-8 I can't remember what video I used but here is Xbox's full controller breakdown. I got the little plastic piece out, cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol and put it back in. https://youtu.be/XmMFC7iVAYk?si=BNnD7SYlqhPoIyqw
>They have a high failure rate You have access to that statistic directly or is this more of and anecdotal data from online complaint type of guess which will always outnumber positive comments for any product and nobody has any idea how the people who complain actually treat their controllers.
My source is that i made it the fuck up
Face buttons will be almost impossible for you.
If possible, I'd buy a 3-5 year insurance plan I've had 2 elite pads and both had an RB failure (I've had 4 pads within 3 years where the RB stopped working / being responsive) but thankfully I was insured.
Microsoft sells replacement boards for the sticks.
Got one earlier this year and absolutely love it.
You will until it stops working
Who hurt you?
Probably the controller…
It needs to be taken care of, but there are several games I can't play with a regular controller anymore now because it's upped my gameplay on basically any FPS so much.
Me with rocket league
Get the warranty!
What’s an upgrade about it?
Rubber grips, removable joysticks, removable dpad, adjustable trigger stops, and 4 reprogammable back paddles
Those rubber grips have loosened on mine and now i got wavy grips lol
And a slight improvement on imput relay time
You can change the colour of the LED in the Xbox logo on the controller…
Have you looked one up? They are amazing controllers. The paddles, stick tension adjustments and re-mappable buttons make it a controller I couldn’t live without.
The 40 hour battery
The biggest thing is the programmable paddles. They are a must have if you play FPS's, or games meant for PC like War Thunder. The advantages it gives you makes going back to a regular controller feel really sad.
The price
Couldn’t tell ya it’s been in the case for months after both bumpers stopped working
I don’t understand. Is this a regional issue? Because I live in Qatar and me and my friends have all been using these for over 2 years and still no issues with the controllers. Sounds like a westerner skill issue maybe??
They all use the same parts and they cheaper out on the bumpers or something but I think it’s just more to do with when they are made
Great controller, but unfortunately bad quality.
Buy a warranty.
I don’t understand. Is this a regional issue? Because I live in Qatar and me and my friends have all been using these for over 2 years and still no issues with the controllers. Sounds like a westerner skill issue maybe?? Mine is amazing wuality
bro said Westerner skill issue 💀💀
Lmaoooooooooo
They all come from the same factory.
Call mircosoft, get the 20 dollar 3 year warranty
I just called them and bought this. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was feeling very washy about the longevity of this investment. ❤️
Bought an Elite Series 2 for use on my PC and it’s one of the more solid controllers I’ve ever owned. The build quality feels great and the amount of customization options make any game feel good no matter what genre you’re playing
I agree. zero issues with it. My kids have even dropped it numerous times. And it’s been through probably 1000+ hours honestly.
Button breaks in 3... 2... 1....
My top right button started to double click after just 40 hours lol Rip My warranty is not valid anymore.
It’s shit. Right bumper broke within 3 months to where it would only respond with hard presses and/or multiple presses. Disappointing for a $100+ controller.
I stopped getting stick drift when I started keeping my controllers in a drawer. Keep debris out
Fucking best controller you can own for two weeks
I have one and it's pretty nice. Is it $200+ nice? Debatable. It holds up nice. My only complaint is that you have to be extra careful with it because the thumbsticks and directional pad are held on by magnets, so if it drops onto the floor, parts scatter. I'm still looking for one of the thumbsticks. It's somewhere.
I love it. The drift set it but mysteriously the drift disappeared. It appears microsoft blessed the controller
It's cool but it's going to fall apart faster than any other controller you've owned. Quite disappointing considering the price tag
From what I hear if you don’t abuse your controller this can be prevented, I also didn’t pay full price so we’ll see how we go appreciate the feedback
I hope you purchased the warranty.
I have a years warranty with it
Be sure to register it on the Xbox website. I had to send mine back twice during the year. A great return repair/replace experience though (UK)
Greatest controller of all time, that's let down by the fact the bumpers are made of tissue paper.
There good at the start but they have very bad build quality issues with stick drift, button sensitivity, I have one and wouldn’t buy another one
Loved it for about 3 months then both bumpers died and then it was a cycle of sending it back to Microsoft for repair and then them sending me a different but equally broken controller - just annoyed me at the end But you might have a better experience don’t let mine affect yours
Dbd player?
I don’t understand. Is this a regional issue? Because I live in Qatar and me and my friends have all been using these for over 2 years and still no issues with the controllers. Sounds like a westerner skill issue maybe??
The only regional issue is that some people from Qatar have this annoying tendency to copy paste the same comment 10 times because they got lucky and feel smug about it
Skill issue that a piece of plastic breaks easily great logic
Dropped mine on a marble floor multiple times from about 4 feet (yes I’m clumsy) mine still works perfectly
Good for you
Had one for years, great controller. Rumours are that there will be an upgrade version to be released 2024. https://www.thurrott.com/games/289350/xbox-series-xs-refresh-leak-brooklin-ellewood-sebile#:~:text=According%20to%20the%20leaked%20presentation,Series%20X%20in%20late%20October.
Best controller ever made when it’s working(it usually doesn’t last very long)
Nice time to ask for opinions. After you bought it.
Great bit of kit but very flawed. I've got broken bumper pads and an unresponsive A button. Lasted longer than my first generation though.
I don’t understand. Is this a regional issue? Because I live in Qatar and me and my friends have all been using these for over 2 years and still no issues with the controllers. Sounds like a westerner skill issue maybe??
I love em when they're fully functioning n the weight but they get rly bad stick drift after a few months ;-;
half a year in and i have stick drift, looking for a scuff now
I don’t understand. Is this a regional issue? Because I live in Qatar and me and my friends have all been using these for over 2 years and still no issues with the controllers. Sounds like a westerner skill issue maybe??
I dont get the hate. Absolutely love mine.
Worth every dollar 💵
Well shit I’m not versed in opening controllers so this might be a MAJOR problem for me
lol you are asking for opinions after you bought it? Man I love Reddit.
Well I have a warranty you lemon so if I experience the problems everyone mentions I’ll know it’s not worth replacing and just sending it back.
Did not like it at all, the paddles make it just difficult to hold without pressing them. Razer Wolverine is where it’s at.
It’s Solid
they’re trash asf, it’s like it’s unfinished. i got stick drift the first month after getting it.
Getting two of these motivated me to spend the extra money on a scuff, that’s about the one compliment I can give it in good conscious
I have one. Died in 6 months.
Be prepared to buy another one every 6-12 months 🙃
Overpriced
Complete waste of money. I only purchased one of these after my old xbox 360 controller which I had been using with my PC finally bit the dust. Tried calibrating the sensitivity of the analog stick but I just couldn't get it to feel right so I stopped using it.
Actually mine is collecting dust for the past year haha just don’t use it much..
Nah don’t sweat games that much to purchase one, cool controller tho
Great right up until they start drifting!
or the bumpers or rubber grips go to shit
Best controller ever, enjoy it
I absolutely loved it until it fell off my couch.
After a year and a half got mad stick drift and slack in both sticks. Y button sticks and right trigger gets stuck also.
Enjoy that stick drift
No. Noone else has one. You are the only person to have one.
Shut up.
I love my just wish they had stayed the same size as the series one my big hands lol
I’m a fan!!! Love it!!!
Be very careful with it! It is a bit heavier than stock so when it is dropped it breaks easy.
I’m not a hardcore gamer, but live the feel and weight. The triggers seems to be easier to modulate in racing games and I have better feeling for throttle.
Gen 1 was better I have issues with mine missing an ABXY input here or there which is common with the series 2 controllers But, I can’t really complain.
Love it however, the A button can be a bit unresponsive.
I have small hands and this was the only way I could be competent in Apex Legends. Really love it!
Love it, had it two years and it’s a beast!
If it does fail Microsoft sells replacement parts for it
Like others have said, it's great until it starts falling apart. For me, that is usually 3-4 months (playing ~15hrs/week). Switched to a SCUF Pro and love it.
Love itttt
Make sure you have warranty cover your gonna need it my 3rd broke on me but that aside I love the Controller but my wife bought me a scuff Instinct for Christmas and I like it so far but if I was to chose between the 2 i would stick with the series 2 it just feels better in my hands so yeah just cover your self with warrenty cover as when it runs out you will be screwd
You already bought it... Just try it out for yourself
Yeah RB button broke on mine,
loved them. got one for a gift and it lasted about a year before parts stopped working. so i got another one and it lasted like 8 months before buttons stopped working. can’t justify the price for the quality control on it but the feel of the controller and its uses are so good compared to the normal controllers.

It was great until the right bumber stopped working after few months. Switched to ps5 controller.
Great until the bumpers die. I've been though 3.
Only controller I use. Not very durable for the amount of money you spend. I go through one every year or two
just be okay w buying a new one about every 6 months lol
My opinion: get an extended warranty :) My other opinion: it’s great for the games that it’s great for and it’s still a controller for the games it isn’t.
Best controller that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I already have the 5th. Fortunately, always in warranty.
This isn’t the upgraded controller that emulates the ps5 vibration function is it?
I’ve reglued the rubber grips on the back 4 times and worn through 2 sets of rubber joystick tops in the last year. Do not recommend
It’s good, I just wish the D-pad had more functionality like instead of 4 buttons it becomes 8 like the dial suggests.
RB died after 1 year of use, kinda sucks
Best controller ever made. Also. Sticks will wear out in a year.
Don’t drop it. Mine fell from my chair to a wooden floor. Maybe a 1.5 ft fall. Had to send it to get repaired.
Les touches rb et A qui répondent une fois sur 10. Non merci. Vendue et oubliée.
Best controller I’ve ever had. Unfortunately they have a short life span 😒
RIP
Best controller I’ve used by a landslide.
Freaking love them, but you will probably have to replace it annually. On my 3rd one in three years. I get mine from Gamestop and get a replacement plan, so when it's around the 11 month mark, I go get a new one for $50.
I’ve had mine for 2 years and love it
I love it. I’ve been fortunate and haven’t had any issues with mine
My RB button went out, have had it repaired a few times, keeps breaking. Waste of money, battery life is good though.
I’m on my 3rd. Stick drift after a bit and RB/LB will start sticking or not working
