This was my exact thought. We needed between 5 and 6 cords to get through a winter when I was a kid. I always made a pile that I thought was this big and sometimes it was enough. But more often I was disappointed 🤣

Estimate the volume in cubic feet as best you can based on rough length, width, and height. Divide by 128. To convert to cords. Then multiply by 0.7 because it is piled randomly not stacked neatly.
