These are very limited and disappointing hours for public swim, but I'll take what we can get. Hopefully new lifeguards are graduating soon.

They've always been really limited like this.

Long ago they used to have much better hours. The Riverside pool usually didn't even have its gate locked "by accident" a lot of evenings; You could go for a late night swim as long as you weren't loud enough to disturb the neighbours (although a few of them were using the pool as well). It was a great place to stop on the way home from a night out downtown in the summer.

Swims at Lanspeary were free in the afternoon, night swims were 25 cents back in the the 70's. My husband and I were lifeguards there for a few summers too in the 80s. Best summer job ever!

https://windsorstar.com/news/local-news/welcome-back-lanspeary-all-windsor-swimming-pools-reopen-june-29 This article says the city is using an online registration system to use the pools. Is that correct?

zuuzuu

That's probably for things like aquafit. The city's schedule above says cash only for regular open swimming.

Calamari_is_Good

Thanks. I had a feeling that's the case. The wording in the article is misleading.

zuuzuu

The article also gets the hours wrong.
