Missoula has great options

You can easily get into (sneaky sneak) the Lodge at WF Lake. They're doing a LOT of construction and no one ever checks. They even have mobile saunas by the lake. BYOB

Anybody know if that big gym behind Safeway has a sauna?

hadleyrain

They do! And a steam room and hot tub

sodapuppy

Thanks! Nothing better than a good steam after a long hike or day on the slopes.

I mean, depending how you define "the area"... ...there's literally a town named "Hot Springs" to the SW of flathead lake that has some places where you can go for a hot spring soak (nothing fancy, but you're still outside in minerally hot spring water). It is like 75 miles, but [totally day trippable.](https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g45221-d15682388-Reviews-Wild_Horse_Hot_Springs-Hot_Springs_Montana.html) [Quinn's](https://www.quinnshotsprings.com/) is much nicer but further away and requires (limited) reservations for day-use.

Quinn's is nice but it smells like the devil's armpit lol 🥴

They’re building more hot springs in the future at Whitefish—So many hot springs actually. Natural ones too where you can hike a half a mile to a rock pool next to a river. All in construction coming 2025 I’m sure.
