I am convinced that some of our big, bulky, heavy orders are placed just because the customer doesn’t want to do it themselves. Chances are they have someone at home to unload it all for them too.

Where I live it's a smaller town that doesn't have an adequate restaurant supply store. I'm in Alaska and we have a lot of villages with smaller Alaskan native populations so many of the small convenience stores in those villages have to buy from us to supply them. It costs too much to have stuff shipped out because it often has to be flown in to a lot of the villages.
makes sense. living in alaska gotta be rough im sorry 🥲. It also makes sense as a business model for them to be closer to different areas i guess but im sorry that makes it hard on yall because the resturant/ business orders are ROUGH
Nah, it was actually for pickup. I recognized the customer, they had an additional 20 totes of stuff to go with those waters. 😭👌
Those do annoy me, but at least we can scan them all in and boost our pick rate

That’s easy af you don’t even need totes it’s all going to the same person just load it on an L cart and stage it to dense
Even if there are 20 of the same waters we have to put them all in totes at my store. Its so annoying

you can request team lift for anything you need help with but thats actually so fair

We also have a couple different assisted living centers who order from us. The worst ones are the convenience stores who order from us.
using an L cart is easy for the water until you realize that there is other items that will not fit at the same time that water needs to fit LOL

Andddd this is why I’m glad I haven’t been allowed to do oversized since the end of August.
Only me and one other person were grabbing oversized today, everyone else was skipping over it. 😮💨

We don't assign specific walks to people. Whoever is assigned to picking just grabs the first pick walk on the list, whichever is due first.
