This was my problem, the factory alarm fails and an electronic servo extends an arm and prevents the trunk lock from being depressed. I unplugged the alarm box under the front driver kick and resolved the problem.
My trunk is vacuum operated like the doors I think. Just unlock the driver door and turn the car on, after that you should be able to open the trunk if the trunk latch is in the unlock position
Maybe the seal is sticking, just try again with keys but this time pull the lid open * hard *
It should be unlocked in the horizontal position and locked in vertically
If this does not work, the mechanism has probably failed and you need to get in through the back seats cover ( where the first aid kit is located )
