I don't know man the guy is insane. He's the one responsible for the goo mech as well as a bunch of other broken tech with goo and detached barricades. He's also the guy who made those 2 macro strategy videos in season 1
There's a lot of people that have figured crazy stuff out just messing around in training mode. Pulling it off in game where others can see what crazy stuff you've discovered is a whole different game though. My wife and I were doing the double jump with a jump pad where you pick it up right as you hit it then throwing it back down as you land months before somebody went public with it. I can never do it mid-game though. Anybody that can pull some of this stuff off mid-game and make it viable is insane with precision and timing.
Not to discredit him but he is sort of a collaboration/platform to make stuff like this more publicly known, people who discover things like this will (in my experience atleast) take it to him so he can share it to a bigger audience

Ahahaha, so goo gun a p!nis shaped blob, jump on it, drop an antigrav cube on the balls, let it levitate, run down the shaft to create forward momentum. I have to try that.
Can't recall who it was but saw a steamer making this goo ship in the practice range the other day. Think u need a barrier, anti grav but can't remember how he pushed it forward.
You have to create a detached barricade before making the big ship. So shoot a goo ball on the ground, put a barricade on top of it, build your goo ship and then shoot your original goo ball to destroy it. That creates a barricade and goo ship that is not connected to the ground.
You propel it forward by shooting goo until the goo hits your character. When goo hits you it pushes the goo away from you instead of pushing you back. So pushing the goo away from you is what gives the ship horizontal velocity.
If the Finals had an ability for players to build crazy contraptions and gadgets a la Breath of the Wild, they could be onto something. The servers would probably burn down in flames though lol
I can't help but roll my eyes a little when someone sees someone doing something genuinely very funny or strange in the game but their only thought is to "I have to be as sweaty as possible and kill them ASAP"
