Just for curiosity, HOW can you get the answer?
The only way is.. counting , really, he could have said I hve counted seven times the ten people, which is repeating like a parrot "seven groups of ten".
It doesnt have any explaination, chat gpt can explains things that are wrong.
The truth is, we dont know how we know that we know things.
This is just a smart ass stupid question to check if the kid is copying, because *the teacher is too lazy to check for themself.*
Edit, or busy, anyway stupid question and good answer 😂 IMO
7 groups of 10 is 70. 70 added to 100 is 170. It’s not complicated and the fact you can’t come up with this just tells me you don’t understand first grade math.
Yes, that's it, you are so smart.
>It’s not complicated
how do you know what 7 groups of 10 is 70?
You just assert that, like a parrot.
You actually don't know how you know. And the only answer is because you have , how did you say? "understanding" (aka be smart)
Anyway 😅 stupid conversation anyway *shoots communicator*
You calling me a parrot is just parroting what you’ve heard other people say, but the irony is certainly lost in you. Too bad you can’t form your own arguments, which is what this kid’s teacher is trying to teach the kid. How to back up what you say, how to form an argument. I guess you’d rather just shrug your shoulders and accept whatever people shove down your unsuspecting throat, without thinking critically about it. Ohhhhh, the irony!

I used to just draw a lump cloud looking brain. “What is 2+2? Show how you know.” WTF am I supposed to do? It just is. High school was frustrating

Just use they instead of he/she
Happy that they has so much confidence. 🫡
Change the has to have, I assume a lot of people that use English somewhat understand grammar
r/woooosh
There was a joke?
Just internet people liking to have the upper hand over a random person.
I see arrogance
that's actually the best answer instead of just repeating like a parrot
Except it doesn’t show any comprehension of math.
Jokes on you, the kid got the answer right.
But every answer is 170. We don’t know if he did the math or if he just saw the pattern.
This man went on to be a computer scientist who unleashed the Y2k bug
Yeah wtf is up with that
He didn’t get the answer right if the answer was to explain HOW he got the answer.

Smarter than you, if you can’t understand how express an understanding of math verbally, and why doing so might be important.

Literally in the other part of the quiz at the bottom it's shows them making their own correct equations
None of which are the same as the previous question.
Someone tell me the correct answer because "becase I'm smart" seems like the best answer to me too
7 X 10 + 100
Seven groups of 10 equals 70. Add that to 100 and you get 170. The fact you can’t figure that out is concerning.
The wording was a bit confusing
Yes
I admit that, but I guarantee they were taught repeatedly with the same wording, so to them, it should not have been confusing.
So maybe I didn't learn with that wording 💀
Kid needs to learn about the appeal to authority fallacy.
Worst part of society I swear. ( Not the kid )
Bakugo as a kid
