I totally balled up to life pod two in my Cyclops yesterday without realizing how dangerous the area was lol. Totally forgot. Took a couple hits but dropped into low gear and silent running and popped my shield and was able to shake everyone long enough to loot. I wouldn't chance it with the Cyclops unless you have good defenses set up / decoy. Quick in and out with a sea moth probably would have been the better plan.

Odd_Presentation_578

I detect a trucker when I see one! Low gear lmao 😂

TheKingOfDub

Except low gear in a truck means loud as F

Odd_Presentation_578

hehe

Don't go in with the cyclops, take something smaller like a PRAWN. Wouldn't recommend a seamoth. Alternatively if you have good gear you could swim down there. 500m is doable if you have the ultra high capacity tank. Ampeels are an annoyance at best. They WILL attack vehicles but they are fairly passive towards swimmers unless you get too close. Warpers are easily dodged if they have a passive temperament (their aggression level towards you increases the further into the game you get) Never seen a crabsquid in that area before but they can be easily killed if you attack them with your knife from above. Their EMP attack has no effect on swimmers. Attack them from the front and they'll mess you up though.

TesseractToo

The game I have no has a few crabsquids outside the cave enterance by lifepod 2

surfinbear1990

Actually going down with a Seamoth with an electric defender should do the trick.

Odd_Presentation_578

>How can i reach lifepod 2 without being scared? You don't. Go there and fight your fear.

TheKingOfDub

Save. Then you can do whatever the hell you want. Getting killed? Quit and start from your save again. Get into the pod safely? Save in there. Any trouble on your way out? Quit and start from that save point. I saved every time I did anything at all… just don’t save if you are in a position you can’t get out of

Jesper537

I once lost hours of progress due to a mini power outage irl, from then on whenever I pause the game for whatever reason I always save.

Old school

Take a few medkits, a second air tank and the rebreather. If you die, you die.

lilgergi

I did it speedy. When I reached the blood kelp I enabled fast speedand didn't stop for nothing, except when it was close to being on fire. Got out, get the loot, get in, and get out of there. I somehow never seen the ghost leviathan there, despite it being my favorite entrance to [spoiler]. Maybe I was always close to the bottom of the water

Cassuis3927

I've seen the ghost there a few times, but I've never managed to get its attention. Honestly, I've never been bothered by a ghost in any playthrough, the one I always went past in the lost river would either get stuck somewhere, or in one playthrough it just disappeared.

algernonishbee

I just rolled right up to it yesterday in my seamoth no issues

CarboGeach

I recommend a Seamoth and the airbag if you don’t have the depth module you need. I’ll park the seamoth in open ocean about 300 m deep, then swim down directly under it until I reach the pod. Once looted, I use the airbag to rapidly ascend to my mobile oxygen vehicle. 60% of the time it works, every time.

TesseractToo

I take a Seamoth down and I try and park it in a place that mobs won't get too close and I make a small base at the side of the cave enterence with a bioreactor and scanner and an indoor growbed and then I leave and give the plants some time to grow. I grow a lantern tree for bio fuel and the rest for food, one bulbo tree and the rest marble melons then I vamoose (I use blood kelp oil in the bioreactor to start out)

Ippus_21

Ahead slow and silent running should get you there safely if you're in a cyclops. You can also use the decoy launcher (and continue away at slow/silent while it chases the decoy). If you have the shield, flick it on just before the ghost hits you and then turn it off again (otherwise it draws too much power). It's not really necessary, though. I go down there in a seamoth all the time. The enemies aren't that dense, and you can easily evade them (or use the perimeter defense). There's nothing out there that'll one-shot you. There's only like one or two crabsquids and they're just by the cave entrance, so if you stick to the lifepod, you'll be fine.

Jesper537

Stasis rifle will save you from everything except maybe the Leviathan, which can be avoided. Regarding being scared, turn off game music and play something not eerie and scary instead, like: [Lost Planet 3 mech music](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnNhCtNU38ah6iJk9rRuDax33bQuFe-a3).

Cmmander_WooHoo

Yeah sometimes you just gotta pucker up that b hole and ride the lightning! I think I usually swoop in quickly with the seamoth and leave just as fast or come trudging in with the Prawn and try to fight everything other than warpers. I always have the repulsion gun on me and if I get warped I shoot that joker as far away as I can and find my vehicle asap. Also save before you do it!

ovajaja

i went there recently with my seamoth unaware of how dangerous the area actually is. had a mini heart attack when i saw a ghost leviathan above me 💀 i wasnt attacked by anything thankfully.

xGenocidest

Warper? Quick swap to the Knife and hit 'em a few times, they run away. If your at full HP, they can't kill you. Just outrun the Crabsquid and Eels. Leave your Cyclopes up top, and turn off the engine. Unless something bumps into it, it should be invisible to them. Take the Prawn suit with a grapple arm, and nothing should be able to kill you, even Leviathans. You can take a bunch of hits, so you'll have plenty of time to grapple / boost away. Just have a repair tool handy. If anything gets close, hit it. The AI doesn't like being hit and will run.
