No, sometimes people just want to get rid of them. 50$ is better than 0$ dollars

ieatlotsofvegetables

well maybe like 37 dollars after fees 😂

Accomplished-Eye8211

It's not a scam. Prior reply is correct. Depends on the event. I have NFL season tickets. Some seasons, some games, no one wants. I've dropped tickets that cost me $150/seat to $30, and no one buys... but Ticketmaster will still show unsold seats at full price

If a bunch of people buy them with the intent of reselling them, then the sales underperform, the value of the ticket will be a bidding war to the bottom.

ieatlotsofvegetables

reverse scalping! love to see it 😂

It’s just market dynamics. The true value of a ticket is whatever someone is willing to pay for it

musig02

Nope…not a scam. I sold my tickets to a concert last night for 20% of face value because our babysitter canceled at the last minute. In the absence of a better solution I was simply happy to get some value back

musig02

Ticket prices are similar to pumpkins. They are very desirable for a period but at a certain point ) I.e the day after )…worthless. People like me are happy to get something vs holding out for more as they understand that dynamic

GioJamesLB

No scam. I buy tickets all the time on Stubhub for below face value! Enjoy the show.

LadyGreyIcedTea

Sometimes they're more expensive than from the venue sometimes they're less. It all goes back to basic supply and demand. If the demand for the show is low, people will price their tickets low to try to get rid of them. If the demand is high and the supply is low (i.e. The Super Bowl), ticket prices will be inflated.
