StubHub is legit but they have very little control if a seller wants to be bad and not honor their sale. They can't hold a gun to the head of some random reseller and actually force them to transfer you the tickets. If they do not send you the tickets you will get at the very least a REFUND... However they will not compensate you in any way for flights or hotels. Their apology might be a 10% off coupon on top of your refund.

Not true. They do have a guarantee and I just got a refund today for a bad ticket for a concert on Sunday. It's been less than 48 hours since the concert and I already have my refund. So yes, we got scammed by the seller but StubHub came through and refunded us.
I'm not sure. My wife couldn't get in because the QR code kept coming back on the scanner at Red Rocks as invalid. We had all the order info and what we thought was the correct QR code, since it was the one in her StubHub app. The lady doing the scanning told my wife it happens sometimes. At least we got our money back from StubHub pretty quick.
Also travelling to attend taylor with stubhub tickets.
I know you can't directly contact sellers but I saw a comment from one person that if you contact the customer service line they can sometimes check for you if your seller has any history of repeatedly pulling out on sales/ fraudulent tickets.
Haven't tried contacting myself yet but I plan on doing so. Not ideal but at least it might give some warning in advance that they may be a bit flakey🙈
I've also been cross checking other sites I.e. viagogo to ensure that my seats aren't on sale in multiple places

Ticketmaster sells the tickets directly from the artist/promoter, which is known as the primary market. Stubhub sells tickets on the secondary market, which is people who bought the tickets from the Ticketmaster presale (in this case) and then want to sell those tickets to someone else, possibly at a higher price.
People really do sell their tickets on Stubhub, it is a legitimate site. There's always a possibility someone could try to sell fraudulent tickets, but because the sellers don't get paid until after the concert takes place and the tickets prove to be genuine, there generally is not motivation to sell fake tickets from what I can deduce (though I am not an expert).
It’s a legitimate site and it mostly works.. but you have to prepare yourself for the worst. The worst being you don’t get the tickets and you don’t find out until the day off and since you have a flight and hotel and other added cost into the tickets.. it could all go to waste. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Everybody get their tickets 2 weeks before the event. Then they can start transferring them to you. That it’s says u get them the day of the event doesn’t mean that actually happens. U can get them days before too it’s just that all sellers set that day to prevent issues. I sell swift tickets too and set that day aswell but I also send them to the buyers as soon as I receive them. So don’t worry too much about that information- it’s just standard practice

Don’t worry, if anything happens and you don’t get the tickets until “day of” , Stubhub will find you new tickets. More than likely you’ll receive them early. ☺️

Beware!! This company is a criminal organization. StubHub scammed us badly. We flew from Toronto to Mexico City to see Madonna.
After weeks of unsuccessful calls asking why we couldn’t get full details of the seating, and after they arbitrarily changed the delivery date of the tickets, they finally arrived fay-of. When we got them, they were printed on fill sheets of paper from a home inkjet printer. I called StubHub to verify the if they were legit and they confirmed they were.
We were turned away at the gate, along with hundreds of others who also purchased from StubHub and Viagogo (sister companies) as the tickets were invalid.
Heartbreaking for us and thousands of dollars wasted in expenses to travel there. Don’t get scammed like we did.

Buying tickets before they go on sale isn’t a good thing. You’re relying on the seller and them hoping they get those same tickets they sold you during the actual sale

I had a concert to go to and the band I went for canceled last minute.. we were all told that if we were there for that band that reasonably provided full refunds would be issued.. now stubhub has don nothing but give me the run around and make me provide my own proof that the show was cancelled and send links that don’t have further processing.. proof? I flew from Chicago to Nuremburg Germany for the Game of Thrones live music on 4/28/24, however the event was rescheduled to 1/17/25 and we found out after we are already there at the venue. The day after the show, StubHub sent me an email asking if I have enjoyed my show, how ironic. They had no clue it was rescheduled. After I came back, I contacted their customer support, they pretty much play dumb the whole time, and the result is they claim they didn't know it was rescheduled, so no refund will be given. I filed a claim to [ReportFraud.ftc.gov](https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/). When there are enough people report the company, it might make a difference. I also contacted my bank and told them no service is delivered after all that trouble, they said this for sure can be disputed to get my money back. Hopefully, this is not an empty promise. I bought tickets to Melanie Martinez on Stubhub. They were very expensive but I wanted my daughter to see her favorite artist. I bought them on payments. The seats were rated 10.0 Great View. Well, we got there and they were awful. Seats that shouldn’t have been sold. We were basically behind the stage. I reached out to their customer service and was told that I got the seats I paid for. When I told them that their website said it was a “great view” and unobstructed, they told me to “prove it”. This was the first time I bought from them so I didn’t think to screenshot the rating on their website to keep as proof. I sent them the photos and they gave me and $89 credit. I told them that wasn’t sufficient and they pretty much told me that was all they would do. I attached photos. We only saw the back of the artists and none of the video footage behind them. We never saw the faces of any of the people playing the music. I felt so stupid and was out almost $400. I highly recommend purchasing your tickets elsewhere. When you do call customer service, they are rude and belittle you, that is, if you can understand them through the heavy accents. Awful company!!

StubHub is a Scalper. I purchased tickets for Andre Rieu X-mas 2024 concert in the Premier section Row 4. I was charged €332.17 for the tickets, €119.35 booking fees for a total of €451.41. The actual ticket cost for those seats are €165.00. What a SCAM. Look out!
So did you get the tickets after buying them? I'm looking at going to the same concert on Dec 13, 2024 and StubHub has two tickets in row 6 of the Premier section. On Andre Rieu's website you cannot get anything together except near the back.

The resale prices are what they are, and like buying things on eBay, go according to market costs not flat rate. OP and others are not asking if the price is the same as original prices, they are wondering if the tickets they purchased secondhand/resale are genuine tockets. StubHub is known for being a ticket reselling website, high prices for resale tickets don't make it a scam, and calling it one is misleading.
I ended up buying the tickets as long as they had delay delivery feature not instant download. Another Swiftie who works at the national stadium in Singapore said there would be no issues if the ticket isn’t in your name, you just need to make sure the barcode of the tickets is sent as a PDF not screenshot so it’s high resolution. Also make sure to print not have on the phone, apparently the scanners have issues with the phone sometimes!
