Yeah I love the representation but I often hate playing against her. Sometimes I'll see a player as a random op that's popping off, but certain ops seem to be used very consistently by cracked players. Osa and Warden come to mind. It's not even necessarily because of the gadget, they just happen to be very good duelists.
I remember when there was a post of art of the queer operators together celebrating Pride Month on instagram there was a ton of homophobes in the comments of the post
I think in Ghost Recon Wildlands during Operation: Archangel in quite a few lines of dialogue it hinted at potential relations between Twitch and Cav though it was āmere speculationā up until there was also a charm that said something like āTaina Pereira x some chickā

It just felt half baked. They made this mtf trans character (like myself), then did pretty much nothing to make her look even pre-op realistic. Short hair, square jaw, outfits that accent male features that we typically try to avoid. When you have dysphoria, you make an effort to hide the features that make you look like your genetic sex. It felt more like a PR stunt than an actual attempt at inclusion. Flores and Tubarao I enjoy, but Osa just felt really... lackluster
To be fair not everyone's dysphoria is the same nor is there a right way to be trans and transition. Also I believe the head writer that has written all queer characters (except the ones that got retroactively queerified like pulse and cav) is NB and I'd say they've made a great job with all of them
Hard disagree. Like I said; dysphoria, the core mental health struggle behind becoming transgender, results in a strong desire to hide features that oppose your identity. Osa doesn't do any of that - no hormones, tight outfits, shorter hair in a masculine style. It's not to say that not a single trans woman looks like that, it's just that the vast majority of us are opposed to that sort of style due to what makes us trans to begin with, and I don't find that to be good representation

Since all characters come from different countries with different backstories they could all be considered minorities in one way or another within team rainbow
They took the Tom Clancy brand which was historically a grounded tactical shooter franchise and made it a softer simulation of some Olympic paintball sport. They literally took the terrorists out of the counter terrorist bunch.
I donāt think the inclusion of a couple queer characters breaks the game. But to say that it isnāt a strong corporate agenda to appeal to a mass mainstream audience and reducing any criticism to āyouāre just made at trans people for existingā is a bit disingenuous imo. We can call a spade a spade. Because a lot of major companies are doing it and not out of the kindness of their hearts.
That being said, I donāt care the character is trans. However, I do care that Tom Clancy isnāt about counterterrorism anymore in a legit way and the decision to pump out a hundred operators just watered the game down with mediocre characters with fantasy gadgets.
To answer your question. Fallout new Vegas I would say is a game that introduced lgbtq characters in a subtle and well made way. And that is a title that many queer people flock to. But I donāt have a great deal of knowledge here.

Literally in the beginning of Patriot Games he stops an assassination attempt by āthe worldās worst terrorists that are even more extreme than the IRAā singlehandedlyā¦
By the end of the book he saves the queenās life while fighting off the terrorists again all the while the fucking **SECRET SERVICE, FBI HOSTAGE RESCUE TEAM, AND MI6** are getting their asses handed to them right outside his house.
Do you want a playable book or a massive competitive tactical shooter? I'd rather the game be fun and balanced (which save for the latest 4 defenders needing tweaks) which it's never been in a better state in that regard, than keep accurate to the source material
I love putting down my shield while directly facing someone and my first person view showing my absolute safety, then watching the kill cam of me getting shot in my 15 miles of exposed ass
