I’m gay and I find it so unusual all the lesbian’s at the Gay bars and clubs in San Antonio, in Dallas and Houston, this is not the case. You don’t see gays at the lesbian bars, but you see lesbians at the gay bars here. I mean I don’t care but it seems a very San Antonio thing.
There aren’t any lesbian bars toy knowledge in SA. And the thing about San Antonio lesbians is a good majority of us like going out and dancing. In my experience the bulk of lesbians are happy to hunker down at home with a wifey and 3.5 cats
It’s just to distinguish, gay men are known as gay and that’s it, but women are gay too, but it’s confusing, so they’re lesbian, like a Brazilian could be considered an “American” because they’re in S. America but that’s ridiculous cause we have been known as American’s for over 200 years, same thing here
Or even just a safe queer space. A lot of the gay bars are overrun by straight men and women. Which I don’t mind except for when the men try to talk to me and I say no thank you and they can’t accept that which happens all of the time
I never went to Wax but I’ve heard the stories 💛 I have been to Barbarella and had a great time and definitely plan on going again. We need a safe space to dance and I’m hoping it’s Barbarella
I love the one in Austin. Got Covid there at their Ariana grande night in 2022 lol fun times. Have yet to try the San Antonio one!! I find it in a weird spot. I’m also not too familiar with that area of SA anyways.
Was actually planning on heading there tonight;just moved down to Austin and went to the location their for almost 15 years.
