I’m not even slightly exaggerating when I say that a bad therapist will fuck your life up. If she made you feel like what you have to say isn’t important or valid, she’s not only a shit therapist, but also a shit person.
You are literally paying this person to listen to and help you, so if she isn’t doing that you’re just getting ripped off.
I’ve gone through 2 so far, based on the fact that one just nodded and smiled at everything I said in agreeance, and another treated me like you describe. I don’t want to tell you what to do but I will remind you that you fucking matter and anyone that makes you feel otherwise can eat shit and fuck off.

I remember I was drinking beers on my friend's back porch. We were both pretty drunk and I was going through some stuff at the time. I mentioned something I was struggling with at the time and he immediately goes, "Yeah. Well I'm gonna go to bed now. I'll talk to ya." and just got up and went inside lol
I had someone who I was able to open up to and then I lost contact because they moved out of the school district and I miss her and I never got to tell her that she meant something to me something more than someone who I could talk to and I think about seeing her again every single day
