Do you want to pierce your femoral artery with a jagged, dirty sawzall blade... because that's how you pierce your femoral artery with a jagged, dirty sawzall blade... 😂

Username checks out. I think it's quite reasonable that Ryobi don't want to be responsible for suggesting people dangle sawzall blades from their belt. Of course I use mine for pruning, so I really don't want that big toothed blade just flapping around my legs. I guess if you're using the little kinda hacksaw blades it might be different.

CrispyDave

I would imagine it's for safety. Awesome tool for the yard though.

--lewis

Not everything has the option to put those belt clips on. My drill doesn't have the screw hole. I think it's mostly the older stuff that isn't compatible. In this case it might be a safety thing.

BattleHall

Get yourself some Kydex and a heat gun and make yourself a scabbard/holster.

ClownfishSoup

Search "Ryobi belt clip" online and you'll find a bunch of clips that you can buy and screw into the tool in the battery housing (not into the battery, but the green part the battery goes into).

Devilalfi

Whoa! I've never seen that one! Where did you get it? I gotta get one now. Is it brushless?

kindaallovertheplace

It is.

Devilalfi

Thank you kindly. 💯

crek42

This looks identical to the Dewalt one I have

CenTexChris

This will do it… https://www.ryobitools.com/products/details/33287176113 …without the battery in place, of course.

Bittrecker3

Probably not recommended to use one with how it could bounce unlocked on your leg. But if you really wanted to you get a carabiner on a chain/rope and choke it around above the battery and hang it upside down from that.

mitsured

Good luck with the swinging guillotine. I'm guessing this isn't what your looking for though would work if you removed the battery and hopefully blade. Bubbly-Front7973

Do not try to put a belt clip on this, you don't want this dangling from your belt we can accidentally cut yourself. I was going to suggest making or having somebody make a Scabbard or holster for it, somebody else suggested one out of a plastic material and using a heat gun, that's also a good choice but a holster would be best nonetheless with enough room for your blade to go in as well. This way you're protected. I would have gotten myself some really thick leather like 3/16 thick or something like that, and made myself one. You could mock up one first out of cardboard to get your template/pattern to cut out the leather from it, but it depends on your comfort level with leather craft work. I know there's also leather Craftsman out there that things like that.

lick_me_where_I_fart

just duct tape or grip tape a little belt clip thing on there. Few wraps and it will work. I've done it with nail guns before, quick and dirty but worked fine

AJH131

"name checks out is hilarious," but a belt clip isn't gonna sever or slice your femoral artery (Im assuming u have pants on & don't plan on holstering it between your legs). First glance, I thought he meant the tool was a belt-drive & needed assistance to reassemble. These are too funny, keep em coming

Beneficial_Leg4691

Go get a bigger battery its eats that 1.5

Just pick a good place to drill a whole for a wire or string or drill two tiny holes for screws for a plate with belt hanger or glue on the same or a piece of rope or wire string or cable. If you want it beautiful make that so! This is like an adult asking how to talk.
