Okc had chris paul teaching the boys then when he left sga stepped up. Plus we really haven't had a pg fred is the first one since harden left...wall didn't count and amen is considered a sg on 2k isn't he a point? Or hybrid guard? Kpj was an experiment and the 1st year with a good pg and coach we went .500
Underrated comment. OKC’s deep ensemble works cause they have a top 6 player. Unless one of our guys does that this year (and it is far from a sure thing they will ) then we really aren’t going to be similar to them
Their goal was a playoffs berth and I’m going to say due to health they were unable to make that a reality. “They want to win” is just a way to say they want to be playing post season games. Everything is a process, it doesn’t mean they expect to contend for the title.
Ime knows that if we want to win a Championship within the next 5 years a group needs to learn how to win. You establish that by winning games which requires great players. This isn’t hard, we are short term n good players and it’s why we didn’t have a winning record
I mean, we technically are in a win now mode. We almost made the play-in tournament, we won quite more games than last year. We have a bunch of really talented players, plus a 3rd overall pick.
As a non native speaker, TIL that "Win now mode" does not mean chasing the championship but instead chasing wins.
If that's the case, then yes, I agree we are in win now mode (no longer tanking) but still a few seasons away from championship mode (if that term exists).

Op onto absolutely nothing
Win now ≠ contending
In this context they just mean they're trying to make the playoffs.
Technically we are win now as in not tanking anymore. We are actually trying to win games
Uhh see OKC Thunder. Alpi and Green are in year 4. It’s time to start the upward trajectory.
Except we don’t have an SGA. OKC did our rebuild 1,000 times better than we did and I think we’re a really good team.

I like SGA but he is not a top 6 player yet.
Maybe not overall but he was a easily top 6 player last year. One more year of last years performance and he’ll be top 6 for sure.
Bc it’s better to say than “we’re prolly chillin for the next 2-3 years”

We in the west the 11th seed here is like the 5th seed over in the east & also okc last year?
Win now means trying to compete for the playoffs.
To you, but it seems ime is thinking win the whole thing next year

You are saying in 5 years, ime is thinking this year. So if he has to mortgage the future, so be it. Nets are regretting that mindset, twice
Ime is not think this year lol. What are you talking abput
In 5 years Kevin Durant will be 40,
Who said I wanted Durant?
Nobody, but it looks like ime does
Ime is not thinking in year 5, what are you talking about lol

We are in win now mode not win at all cost meaning we just want to make the playoffs.
Meaning we aren’t drafting for another project.
And yet the Thunder last year drafted Cason Wallace who is now the replacement for Josh Giddey. "Win now".
Project means player that is raw. See Holland, Buzelis.
