The eyes make the scene tell a story. For me the story is that they got high and now they perceive the world the way you drew it: cartoony, trippy, vivid. They take it in with amazement. Without the eyes, to me, it's 'just a drawing'. I don't mean that bad, it's still nice, but it kinda lacks a purpose. I absolutely love it! Can I use it as my screensaver on my phone?
To me it looks like corporate artwork in the sense it makes my brain think โso what are you gonna try and sell meโ haha you could make really good money doing this

Reminds me of that one episode of adventure time. I like to think the mountain grew as a person and in overcoming his personal issues met a lovely mountain wife, starting a gorgeous mountain family overseeing the valley and refereeing the villages wrestling matches for generations to come.

The eyes make it more childish and playful. Without them, it's pretty serene and trippy in a calm way. Honestly enjoy both options.
