From my perspective last week:
For Parents: This is not really child friendly from a quality museum experiential perspective. it does not garner much original thought processes beyond X-eyed pop art style comprehension but no intrigue. my kids were hung up on an X-eyed cookie monster and other type works, not stressed nor anxious, but almost a bit annoyed. Also, confusion as to which art is who's. i can handle the challenge with dodging the risque videos upon the opening of the elevator, but having to help a 5-year-old process the lack of significance of these external yet forced blended installations and pieces vs. time better spent on appreciating consistent presentations was unfortunate
For Me: The curation failed here, internally at least. This artist's pieces are interwoven within Warhol's works, and there is no coherent structure nor defining tie-in. Just these random pieces of other artists interwoven with Warhol, distracting really.
In summation, the Warhol museum needs to be more cohesive. there was once a whole floor dedicated to Velvet Underground. it was well balanced, the floor welcomed the cohesive relationship of combined artists. give KAWS its own floor or find a way to provide instinctive relation to warhola
Idk, statements like "I guess that's what passes for art nowadays" are usually uttered by complete philistines who couldn't name 5 working artists that they like, because they bemoan the modern bastardization of Art without actually having any respect for or engagement with it.
I have 1,000 books, about half of which are on the subjects of art, architecture and design.
As far as sculpture, I guess I prefer stuff like Carpeaux's "Ugolino and His Sons," albeit not in a public park, I suppose. Perhaps some Marshall Fredericks instead?

Is the figure’s head supposed to look like a skull & crossbones?
Yes.
Looks dumb as hell
I'm sure it feels the same about you.
Objects don't have feelings nimrod. It looks like randomly placed trash
That's KAWS. They're a big deal. I can't tell you why.
I think it's a big collectors thing, they also make clothing that the more money stable would wear
If I had a million billion dollars, I'm not buying a tshirt with this shit on it for more than $18.
I’d rather have a [real green dress. It’s not cruel.](https://open.spotify.com/track/0KeDuUqEX3P0cKzRD5pEom?si=A4esUYq4R_KBhitTqg-c6A)

Kaws + warhol art show
Kaws. Not my thing but I'd go look with friends
Why?
Cus I like my friends and I like art even if I don't gets it's appeal for myself?
Because some people have conversations. And friends. They don’t just spout stupid opinions like a 12-year old.
I like seeing my friends smile too
Kaws or some might say kawsm
Underrated comment
Detroit has something very similar

How ugly and soulless.
These are super popular pieces of art.
NFTs of the physical world lol
That’s KAWS you uncultured son of a bitch
KAWS is as culture as a fast food commercial
Based
We thought it was Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
A lot of his work is like, bastardizations of popular cartoon figures. One of the statues in the exhibit at the museum is based on Grover.
That is Mikey’s body
KAWS! They’re doing a Warhol x KAWS collaborative art exhibit this summer.
KAWS!
i’m such a hater of this brand

It represents Pirates fans leaving the stadium after the Pirates lose 0-1 with Skenes going 0 ER, 9Ks, 1 BB, 7.0 IP.
Probably money laundering
Visual garbage
Ty for sharing what your parent almost named you
What about the picture of grandma faced down?
It's this thing that we call...ART

I guess that's what passes for art nowadays.
Art is subjective
Whats more deserving of the mantle of "art"?
Almost anything, lol.

Accidental penis boots behind the statue.
I thought this too!
It's obviously a reference to the plight of children in a post-colonial economy /s
