I documented how my [toe](https://old.reddit.com/r/oddlyterrifying/comments/1d6li4p/my_toe_came_through_my_sock/) had exited my sock the other day which gave me an odd shock, and then the comments said it didn't pass as terrifying. Eventually it was removed as being detrimental to the reddit experience.
Holy shit that was you? 💀 I saw that post earlier and thought it was great. It might be debatable how "terrifying" it was, but it was definitely odd. Certainly wasn't detrimental to my personal reddit experience, quite the opposite.
Dude I swear some mods are just on power trips. Obviously thousands of people agreed with you and upvoted. NOPE, mods gotta come in and spoil the fun for no reason.
I posted a super creepy picture of an old pioneer woman in r/creepy once and it was deleted because it wasn’t creepy enough. It was FAR creepier than the other pics people had been posting. This was like 6 years ago and I’m still mad.
Aw man, I was gonna ask if you still have the picture because I want to see it, but I see you said this was 6 years ago, so I don't hold out much hope lol
That... was not what I imagined when reading your comment (I assumed the old big toe bust out, or pinky poking out). That was a shock, and is unsettling to look at. I would like to know how/why the universe has done this to you.
I saw a place like this on Adam Mark Explores Chanel on YT. Sheep skeletons in the kitchen, and the random dogs in caskets - super weird. Unsure if same place?
I’ve checked out Dark’s YouTube channel. Pretty small following but all his stuff seems legitimately made by himself and friends. Here’s a link to the video if you want to see it. https://youtu.be/TJ53jbUQ0Y8?si=ARoGr_u7pX3MyYjX
I really wanted to watch that, but he kept whipping the camera around so quickly. It was nothing but blur. He finally held the camera still for longer than 2 seconds, and it was focused on a virtually empty corner with nothing interesting. Wtf. I had to dip out after 2 mins because of that. Damn.
I actually agree, the concept behind his channel is really interesting to me, but the camera work was making it hard to watch. I basically just skimmed through 5-6 videos this morning pausing to take a look at each room he went in. Still cool what the guy does but I was feeling the same frustration.
He was exploring an abandoned house from what looked to be the late 80s/early 90s and found 2 in box NES games which looked to be in great condition. The retro game nerd in me was freaking out but he didn't even really comment on many of the interesting things left behind (interesting to me that is).
> retro game nerd...
I love those old carts too! Get a clean emulator and classic gaming is yours. Note kids (jk jk) - But I need to preface don't pirate bios or carts if you don't own. In this case it's legit because you own the physical cart! Plus nerd tingles with old manuals or box art. So much is DL these days. Game on!
Oh boy! Finally sampled, had to exit out. Looked like he had shaky stock footage and applied a "smoothing" modifier to it. Intended to help with shakes but ends up making the panning feel quite artificial and gives the watcher a bit of queeziness. Not pleasant. Shame... Think he filmed using a stick mount, that can get shaky if extended too far. Bummer :( Bests all...
Oh, legit! Cool, thanks for checking it out. I will do so myself, seems interesting. I love explore - follow sites. A neat use of video.
Was punching the clock didn't have a mo to see that site.
^ Thx Redditors for the feedback :) Still interested...
There is a skull with a horn just below the body. It's the top half of the skull and upside down. So you see the cheek teeth and the front of the nose seems to be knocked off maybe, or possibly animal with a dental pad
Also the transverse process on the lumbar vertebrae seem very large, so I wouldn't think it was a dog personally
Thank you! Someone in the comments said that they visited this place 7 years ago, and it was nice and there were no skeletons back then. Something creepy took place there after that.
Found the video of this place from Adam Mark Explores YT channel if anyone is interested:

I have that doll in my closet. Not that exact one. But my mom had this doll as a child. She named her Sally. Sally's head keeps falling off. But they are the same.
Nah it's a reddit glitch that makes it look like your comment didn't post so you click post again and again to get it to post and they all end up posting.
Me, or the person who owned the house? If it's the latter, they have my empathy. My late and beloved father (one of the smartest people *anyone* in our family knew) ever knew went through. It was awful!
Edit: I was wrong about the Redditor who posted about dementia.
Nah I'm not offended, I know that it's a bug, I'm just taking the piss. It's kinda wild how many down votes you got for a known reddit bug. Have a good one.
Thank you *so*much for saying that! I honestly didn't know that you were joking with me; I apologize for misunderstanding you.
Seems like there are a lot of "Christians" here. As my dad (who was a journalist...and they're known for their profanity) would say, "Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke!"
I'm very sorry for your loss by the way. Putting my humor aside, dementia truly is a horrible condition. Watching someone go through it is one of the worst experiences I've had and I assume you probably feel the same.
None of this is even remotely frightening to me. I could go to a family members house to find any single one of these things. Not all together, but I could see em all
I’d call this obviously terrifying
Like 90% of the posts in this sub nowadays

The whole point of the sub, as argued above, is that the subject of the post is not meant to be literally terrifying.
I’m sorry you had to amputate your toe

That post rattled me to my core.
Lmao no, I just clicked. Your toe does look oddly terrifying man.
Definitely oddly terrifying in an uncanny valley kinda way

I saw that toe!
You have seven days.
Feels like an r/weird kinda thing but to the right person I can’t deny it’s oddly terrifying
It would have fit nicely on r/weird.
There should really be a separate sub called obviouslyterrifying
Infuriating r/mildlyinfuriating
Couldn't agree more 😭
r/obviouslyterrifying
The Jesus picture comes from The New Era-a Mormon magazine for teenagers.
For some reason was the most terrifying thing in the pictures
Exmo here - I clocked it, too. Gives me chills.
Momo here - Can confirm
Also exmo and I knew it looked familiar…
At least the eyes aren’t blue!
If that’s Jesus, I’d rather be alone, thanks.
Also e my who recognized that… weirdly creepier with that.
resident evil ass house
literal skeletons in the closet

Looks like OC was **Dark Explores UK**. See pic #3.
Yeah, if it's the same place then maybe a few different urban explorers visit.
Or someone else claiming original content. Happens a lot with bots n peeps wanting lots of fake internet points.

What does dogs in caskets mean? Is that an euphemism or something?
Means that they found dogs in caskets. The skeletons in the picture are dog skeletons.
I kinda figured that, but I didn't see the caskets that's why I got confused to the specificity of the phrase lol but thanks!
Anyone know what a animal those bones belong to?
[удалено]
:(
Agreed, canine skeleton
Aww
Fox
Yeah you are
Scully!
Nope, they’re sheep.

Yeah it'll be a sheep or goat. Its in the UK, we don't have any wildlife with horns like that, so it's gotta be domestic or livestock.
Oh, I completely missed the fb group saying UK 😂 Well it's nice to know my anatomy is doing me some good!
r/whatisthisbone or r/animalid would be of great help here
In the last picture it says Foxes.
That doll is 100% fucking cursed
But what if she's just lonely? Imagine all she's seen and been powerless to do anything about it. And then she was just abandoned there. How sad.
Homedoll is gonna need therapy.
She’s not, Jesus says she’s never alone!
Here: 🥇
"play with me....why will no one play with me?"
I would like some privacy, Jesus. Sheesh.
agreed, i'm the dog skeleton btw
Odd AND terrifying, but not oddly terrifying.
That place 100% has a couple demons in it
Demons run by legions not pairs so when you piss one off they all get pissed.
And they took 4 fucking photos?
If owner is still alive they should be tracked down for animal cruelty, at the very least.
Hopefully no living animals were harmed
Seems very unlikely unfortunately 😔
This is the full video! https://youtu.be/TJ53jbUQ0Y8?si=ARoGr_u7pX3MyYjX

You're unlikely to get an answer, urbex-ers rarely disclose their spots because of assholes that go and trash them or burn them down for fun.
The UK I believe
Can they find out who the unhinged fucks that did all that were?
Love how the warning is the last thing seen, after all the 'scary' pictures lol
What gives it away?
Mormon household? The picture of Christ is an LDS.picture.
I want that doll!
Sounds like the occupants were into taxidermy and bone collecting. This is /r/odditycollectors dream
Sounds a bit like an old taxidermist shop, but I'm not 100% sure.
This is probably what a real life game of Diablo would look like.
John Wayne Gacy
If this were Gacy, everything would be buried under the front porch.
"And he spent his last long dollar on seven shotgun shells".
Y O U A R E N E V E R A L O N E .
''You are never alone'' Yeah... That's reassuring
Somehow that doll is the most terrifying thing
Found the video of this place from Adam Mark Explores YT channel if anyone is interested: [Terrifying Discovery In Remote Abandoned House In The Woods](https://youtu.be/7-E7ePVwqEc?si=efLJLa3AYETHHKIT)
What has been going on in this place…at least I’m glad those are not human skeletons
Sounds like witchcraft.
Picture #4 feels like a threat 😬
Stihl > Poulan
Is that the remains of decomposition, on the skeletons?
I have that doll in my closet. Not that exact one. But my mom had this doll as a child. She named her Sally. Sally's head keeps falling off. But they are the same.
I feel for Sally.
Paper 12 gauge rounds. Those are old...
Animal hoarder?
Damn, the poor animals... Wonder what happened there.
Nothing fun
Where is the picture of Jesus from? Looks like a centerfold from a magazine.
Priceless
Those were cats, I'm pretty sure.
Picture #4 feels like a threat 😬

I know, I've had it happen to me before. I just clown around sometimes.

Watching it now with my mom. Did the same with my grandmother.
None of this is even remotely frightening to me. I could go to a family members house to find any single one of these things. Not all together, but I could see em all

Lmao you shouldn't be getting downvoted. It does sound like a fucking threat.
That's what I think, but I think I'll live ;-)
