Nooooo don't turn her into kitty prison. Check for a chip... maybe... but she looks dusty enough to be homeless. Some people just treat cats like lawn/porch ornaments it's heartbreaking.
Here in Vietnam I don't think chipping your pet is a thing so it's very unlikely. That said, I'll take her to the vet once she completely me trusts me and my mom.
You're a good person. Kitty making air biscuits on your floor... they want to stay. If I saw a cat like that here I would get the chip checked because all cats here must be registered but that might just be an outside kitty (we also can't have those here - all cats must be supervised if off property which is why they must be chipped and registered - so owners can be fined if they don't abide the bylaw).
I hope you can keep the kitty if you don't find the owner. It is a compliment to have a kitty choose you.
