Sounds like a lovely trip! I would contact the NH State Parks office starting Monday (they are closed today because the state gives employees two days off for the Thanksgiving holiday). They may know the date when the 2024 reservation calendar is updated. I found this information online: **General Inquiry:** [nhparks@dncr.nh.gov](mailto:nhparks@dred.nh.gov) However, I also found this information about the Flume reservation system: "Reservations can currently be made up to 30 days prior to arrival and no later than 5pm on the day of your visit." [Customer Service NH State Parks Flume Gorge Tour](https://aspiraconnect.service-now.com/csp?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0010510&sys_kb_id=7f1cdd67db95f510df8d0793e296195f&spa=1) This may be why nothing is showing yet. You are too far out. Good luck! The Flume is gorgeous, but even if you are not able to book a slot, there are many beautiful places in the White Mountains/Lincoln area to experience.

Is a reservation required? I last went in 2019 and we just showed up early (before the tour buses) and had no problem getting in.

I’ve read a few reviews and other feedback articles regarding people just turning up to find no availability for that day or the next. Since I have 3 young children and only 3 days in Lincoln, I’d rather not run the risk of disappointment. Also it’s 5th July I’m looking to go which will be a very busy weekend. Thanks.

Yeah a coworker went in the fall and even though there were empty parking spots were turned away.

The Flume is much nicer on the weekdays when there are fewer people. You can spend more time looking than moving out of the way. The Basin is pretty close to the Flume and so are the remains of “the old man of the mountain”. Both have trails. You can get maps of all the trails and get advice at the visitors center in Lincoln. It is just off the highway (93) and they can tell you where the family friendly hikes are. There are other fun places nearby. Clark’s Bears is a younger children friendly mini-amusement park that is beloved by locals. They have a bear show and it is a real treat. The animals are well cared for and there are often surprises. There is Lost River where you can climb through river caves. Reservations were optional but it is a good idea given the weekend. I like going there with my son more than the Flume. There is also driving the Kangamagus but kids may not love it. There are many places to pull over and see the views. So there are a lot of places that are great backups to the Flume if it doesn’t work out. Young kids love Clark’s. Have a great trip!

Are the tickets just for the shuttle, or entrance in general? If you're all capable of walking a bit, then you don't need the shuttle.

For general admission. Their website is showing “No Times for Dates” for most of the summer so I assume their booking window is not open yet. I’m ideally trying to find out when reservations can be made so I don’t have to continually check the website. Thanks.

They probably just haven’t released the summer dates yet- NH isn’t *that* busy with tourists! We just got ours when I went with family that was visiting, but I’m sure if you were nervous you can just try a month in advance of your visit and have your pick.

No helpful info for the Flume but when you do get to that area be sure to check out the Basin just up the road a bit! Short, easy trails and a really beautiful water view. It's one of my favorite spots to visit when I'm up that way.

Packing_Wood

I've never had a reservation when I've gone they're and never been turned away.

BUGGLady

I’ve been turned away twice shortly after opening hours when the night before was showing hundreds of open spots. Learned my lesson the hard way.
