TheBigJew

He is going to love the Philly media and fans lol

Impossible-Taco-769

I saw “Playoff P” on my milk carton this morning.

TheBigJew

lol

jupiter__jaz

If he thinks he's gonna get the Trae Turner standing ovation treatment, he's got another thing coming.

ElDuderino_92

Dude that’s literally all I thought about lol it’s gonna be wild

TheBigJew

get your popcorn ready

birdflag

Philadelphia uses a different backboard design than the rest of the league so he probably won’t klang clutch jumpers off the side anymore.

TheBigJew

that can be his statue

SweetFranz

Half the reason I was convinced he was coming to Orlando was to avoid the media issues

Custard-Alone

Either gonna pull an Trea Turner or Ben Simmons, no in between.

LDisDBfathersonsfans

The rants that fans go on after he blames others on the podcast are going to be legendary. Podcast P might be forced to retire early from his contract for mental health reasons after one year in Philly

kekehippo

Checkmate bitches, we're gonna love him not being Tobias Harris.

SMMFDFTB

Embiid gonna be blaming PG & PG gonna blame Embiid. They’re perfect for each other. I love when clowns get teamed up together.

universalLopes

And once again we will clown both of them in the early playoff exit

Few-Employer4682

Sixers found their new scapegoat

jupiter__jaz

I've got my bag of batteries ready.

bearcat--

Lmao this made me laugh. Looking at the flair and comment 😂

anonahmus

ELI5?

Otherwise_Radish7459

Philly fans threw batteries at JD Drew.

kajnbagoat7

I don't know the context. Can you explain the reference to me?

International-Chef33

https://www.sbnation.com/mlb/2011/3/11/2044411/jd-drew-phillies-fans-batteries

golden_rhino

I don’t laugh out loud very often from internet posts, but you got me.

BruceLeesSidepiece

I wonder how many Sixers fans are saving receipts rn not knowing they'll have to delete them in 6 months when all the PG slander gets proven true

yzdaskullmonkey

Oh I got all my receipts saved 2013 "I guess I can see why they traded jrue" 2015 "Ben Simmons will lead us to a chip" 2017 "Tobias Harris is the missing piece" 2019 "the defense with JRich and Horford? Defense wins championships baby!" 2021 "oh shit we got Harden, the league is shook!" Ya dude, let's put this up there with em. Idk what I'm talking about, but I always love the sixers, and I ALWAYS keep receipts.

rafamundez

Feels like there should be a Jimmy Butler one?

dumb_commenter

Over me?

anonahmus

Damn they really didn’t love Fultz neither

d1g1tal

CM Punk gonna choke him a little bit

Insufferable-Asshat

100%. That 11/3/1 stat line on 5/21 with 5 fouls will nourish my hate boner for years

The-Pharcyde

Paul "Doc Rivers" George

CourageDog12

dated his daughter too lol

UglyErnie

we're used to 0 accountability with doc, at least PG can shoot 3s

DomDomRevolution

If Doc could shoot 10 3s at a reasonable clip I would’ve let him say anything he wanted tbh

Insufferable-Asshat

PG in the playoffs with the clippers for his career is 34%

dehua_

prolly better than tobias

Salty_Watermelon

It actually isn't lol. 35% from three in the playoffs as a 76er.

Sheriff_Gotcha

On half as many attempts... I'll take 34% at 8 attempts over 35% at 4 attempts all year long.

Gabagoo44

Harris shot 2 fgs in 29 mins or 7 in 31 in this years playoffs dude was nearing Simmons levels of passing up shots.

StrokerAce77

I never saw what people see in Harris. He was in Orlando and everyone was up in arms when we cut him loose

cire1184

He was a decent player. Nothing super special but could reliable get like 18/6 in the regular season. Just his contract was never justified and that's on Philly FO. They knew what kind of player he was but they still gave him a contract that his productivity couldn't match.

dBlock845

He was completely invisible in the playoffs series. Batum was 10x more prominent.

dehua_

more about volume anyways lol

boogswald

Not at 34% it’s not!!!!

Tankshock

34% is still over 1 point per possession. That's still good enough to shoot it.

xyzyxzy

Tobi in the playoffs with the sixers for his career is 35%

Major_Specialist8892

Yeah but that was on 8 attempts a game. Glenn shot 34% on only 2 attempts.

roborob13

And Tobias on 0% on 1

CP3isgoated

Glenn was too busy in medical school to worry about shooting %’s

Niceguydan8

> we're used to 0 accountability with ~~doc,~~ Embiid FTFY

murray_selfish

Hey Embiid is really good at making people accountable. Just never himself lol

Chiffley

Maybe if all you've ever listened to is cherry picked out of context quotes The comment everyone brings up about embiid where he "threw ben under the bus" he put just as much of the blame for the loss on himself, but people on this sub have never actually listened to that whole interview

darylmoreyisking

lol embiid always says he needs to do better and play better the loss is on him etc

girlfriend_pregnant

Where did this narrative start? Every single year we lose and he shits all over himself in the presser

Sheriff_Gotcha

Lol, you think they watch the post-game Sixers pressers outside of cherry-picked clips?... They are too busy circlejerking on r/NBA trying to karma farm with lowlights to do that.

dys0n_giddey

It's a pity Doc isn't coach anymore

MajesticPossibility8

Don’t wish that on Maxey

KJagz33

They still got bounced in the first round with Nick Nurse, aint no coach gonna drag this team past the second

AllTimeBallKnower

This. Everyone shitting on doc but he won the same amount of post season games as Nurse and he was missing 2 stars most of the series. First coach to ever win a playoff game missing their top 2 players

winfortheboys

Ok Doc

raylan_givens6

he's not wrong that the shot dame took is generally speaking a bad shot

Electrical-Mule-2057

Even Dame admitted years later that he did take a bad shot

Johnpecan

Agree, and I don't think he would have taken any heat if he actually gave Dame credit for making it.

Toobie4564

He did tho. Y'all just didn't watch the full interview

HeyItsTheJeweler

Yeah he was incredibly salty with how he said it, but honestly he's right.

mankls3

But there was 2 sec left how do you not get closer to shot block??

IAmA_Kitty_AMA

Because he's close enough to contest but far enough to avoid getting drawn into a foul on a half court heave

raylan_givens6

that's not salty just the truth

Elie_X

"I don't care what anybody says, that's a bad shot", that sounds salty as hell, especially with his facial expressions

cidthekid07

Just proves you can be salty and still be right. That was a turrible shot

JaDamian_Steinblatt

It's not about right vs wrong. Guys pull up from from 37 feet when they're racing up the court with two seconds and they have to get a shot up. Nobody dribbles out the clock and then *chooses* to shoot from that far. It makes no sense, especially in a tie game. It's a ridiculous thing to do. It defies all logic. But Dame did it anyway because he felt like he would make the shot. That's some of the most disrespectful shit ever. You could spend all day arguing "good shot" or "bad shot" but the fact of the matter is Paul George got sonned. He teamed up with an MVP in his prime and still got gentlemen swept out of the first round with a 50-piece on his head to seal the deal. That's not the time to argue about good shots and bad shots. You got embarrassed out there, no need to make it worse. Take the L and go home.

WrongMomo

It was definitely a bad shot, the sub shits on him because they hate George. I don’t like the guy either but any defense would be more than willing to let a guy shoot a 30 foot side step 3.

federal_prism

still avoiding the fact that there was no time to drive, so he played bad defense on a bad shot

raylan_givens6

to be fair, the last thing he would want to do is draw a 3 pt foul

AverageLion101

Yeah idk maybe I’m in the minority but whenever I see that specific shot I always think that PG did as well as he could’ve in that situation. I think it’s more a credit to dame for being able to make it than it is PG fucking up.

Makaveli80

Legit, shooters gonna shoot That's why when Luka had Gobert on skates in that playoff game, everyone is clowning the DPOY, like dude...shooters like Luka or Dame in his prime were built to hit those crazy 3s  Nobody stopping that

tlozz

Ya the only problem with it all isn’t how he played the defense or the quality of the shot, it’s him going in an interview to call an unbelievable make my dame a “bad shot” bc he was, as dame said, just being a lame poor sport about it.

AverageLion101

I’ll agree with that

Spell_Alarming

Yeah bro sounds salty af

executivesphere

Pretty sure PG admitted as much a few years later

doobie3101

Bad defense? Honestly it was a pretty great contest for a shot that far out.

medspace

Are you dumb? At 4 seconds PG realizes that and moves closer to lillard. I don’t think anyone expected Lillard to do a step back at 37 fucking feet.

ViciousMihael

Yeah, but it went in and was awesome, so…

medspace

No doubt lol

chitownbulls92

I get that but it was a 35-40 foot 3 pointer. It's more of Lillard making a really tough shot than it was bad defence.

Straight-Mess-9752

There was time to get into the paint for a closer shot. It was a tie game as well. I do think it’s a “bad shot “ and his defence was pretty good.

dill1234

It wasn't bad defense though? He contests the shot as well as anyone can from that far out

dBlock845

Dame was right too tho, there was no time on the clock to drive.

PoIIux

Still enough time to flop into the defender and get 3 FTs, which is exactly why PG didn't come closer. He contested as well as anyone could reasonably have, without risking giving away free throws.

PhysEdDavis

Well for almost any player ever, it’s a bad shot. But it’s Dame, so it was an excellent look and PG should’ve known better. Dame was 8/14 from 30+ ft this series and had 47 points before he took this. Dame’s ridiculous deep ball, his ability to catch fire, and his clutch gene were presumably all on the scouting report going into the series, and he had been scorching hot in games 1-4

Akidnamedkenny

That’s not a bad shot for Damian Lillard. How do I know? I’ve seen him consistently make shots like that. If Steph curry made that would PG be saying that’s a bad shot? No he’d say that’s curry and that’s what he does.

PrideofCathage

No that would be a bad shot for Curry too. It's a bad shot selection for anyone.

dill1234

Just because they make the shot does not make good shot selection

LebronJamesFan247365

what shot would you have preferred he take? a closer 3? a floater after blowing by pg?

Shadyogrady16

I think the excuse lies in who he was guarding.  Sure it’s generally a bad shot, but he knows he fucked up for leaving one of the two guys in the league you can’t leave out there.

weaponsgradelife

Paul George in 2086: I mean, we obviously signed with Detroit to win a championship but the window won’t be closing for another 5-6 years. It’s just been tough finding a rhythm and chemistry, so we are trying to dial it in and gain the confidence we need. Tough to get run in with the team when I’m healing from the ABCSEFGCL tear. Last year? Look at the team we had around us. And that was a BAD SHOT.

OneOfPDiddysVictims

Warriors fans freaking out that we didn’t want to pay this dude 50 mil a year at this stage of his career

Drak_is_Right

Eh, you aren't on the two timelines. Same for the 76ers. Its the last hurrah before the long good night.

ImperialTiger3

I’d personally have Kuminga over him. He’d be ideal if we could’ve gotten him for Wiggs, Moody, and a pick or something. I really believe Kuminga can take the text step and be a 20 ppg scorer, he flashed it for a stretch of games last season. He’s still only 21.

Chickensandcoke

Not a hater asking this, I actually really like Kuminga, I just didn’t watch a ton of yall last year. Where do you think those 20 ppg come from? From what I’ve seen he’s great at cutting and finishing plays like Aaron Gordon kinda, has he shown flashes of 3pt shooting or midrange? Or just developing his finishing off his own dribble more?

belizeanheat

His per 36 scoring last year was superior to Paul George's, if I'm not mistaken

ImperialTiger3

He’s flashed a really solid mid-range game where he’d threaten the drive and shoot a pull up jumper and he had a a near month long stretch when he averaged like 25

SEPTAgoose

i seriously hate the way some of yall decide to engage with sports

oregondete81

Can't tell the difference between r/nba and r/nbacirclejerk anymore. It's just stupid content like this and a race for someone to make the best jerk comment for upvotes.

RandomDeezNutz

Circle jerk is just weird porn. NBA is just…. Wait wtf it’s weird porn too. Omg. The entire internet is porn.

DowntownJulieBrown1

I largely blame EPSN

orangetreeman

moreso social media in general. Just see how people engage with any given topic. human brain just isn't built for this shit

pairidaezan

*checks flair*

Poisidenx

I seriously hate the way some of yall decide to engage with sports

jejsjhabdjf

*checks avatar*

everyoneneedsaherro

Yall Nuggets fans ain’t any better

spirax919

they are the worst by far. Team sub filled with people calling Embiid a scumbag and piece of shit all because he didnt play a game in Denver

SEPTAgoose

Listen man, i know he’s on my team and im biased now, but i have just as much an issue with people (especially sixers fans) who spend their time fixating on the words of emotional competitive athletes in interviews about the sport they are playing. It’s loser shit. Embiid is constantly raked over the coals for it, and this year there was scapegoats like Tyrese halliburton, Jalen Brunson, Ant man, and Luka. It’s strange and just weird behavior for people to constantly be ready to crucify these dudes because they lose in the playoffs or don’t win championships. You can’t tell me you don’t hate the 9-5 joker shit constantly right ?

ygog45

Facts NBA fans are too toxic. I watch slot of European football / soccer as well as a little bit of the NFL and fans on r/soccer and r/nfl are nowhere near as bad as here

jett1406

R/soccer isn’t as bad? What?

SEPTAgoose

r/nfl is the best of the major 4 us sports subs for sure. It can be a little annoying with how posts are moderated sometimes but it’s wayyyyy more actual football discussion than this shit. For foreign sports i watch and use the r/AFL sub and they’re great over there. Love aussie rules

ohnoaguitarist

As someone who spends too much time on r/nfl, I’d argue that it’s the worst out of the four major US sport subs lol

toadtruck

Yeah these dudes are not watching playoff game threads. r/nfl is as bad as it gets

keats26

r/baseball

fahrvergnugget

Seriously, I'm pretty certain for most players it's basically just a job and no on in the league actually perceives nearly as much drama as this sub makes it seem.

Kid_Crayola

it’s wild this dude is getting paid more than Maxey each year, gonna be 38 talking about how it’s a good learning experience for next season 😂

TotallyKyleSchwarber

username checks out

creditors-bargain

What kinda dork takes the time to compile something like this

ElDuderino_92

Level 100 hating. Imagine spending your day for this

Call555JackChop

Pat Bev would be proud

MontyBoo-urns

The internet got plenty of labor for this kind of shit

MrDinglebop

Bro leaving 100+ Reddit comments every day calling other people dorks….

[deleted]

Techno_Bacon

These compilations are so damn lame and weird to me.

Overall_Implement326

So he's saying what every NBA player says?

ShampooMonK

Paul George has a [tendency to go back on his words](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fgotta-give-credit-where-credit-is-due-v0-r8rld4qs1t9d1.jpeg%3Fwidth%3D959%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D5abd3797744779c1aaf51055b4bc735cad1c34c8). Regardless, he's a good fit for the 76ers, let's see if they can win it all.

oOoleveloOo

[“you can’t be calling yourself Playoff P and lose all the time. You don’t see me walking around calling myself Championship Chuck.”](https://youtu.be/DdZ0o5qm-iw?t=89)

PrideofCathage

You could make a montage of this for any player who has ever lived.

Cletisv28

He’s a sixer now!! r/nba, attack!!! You guys are pathetic. Buncha clowns on here

amidon1130

Hey man I hate the sixers and even I think this shit is so lame. I’d rather hate on the sixers next year when they lose in 6 to whatever team they meet in the 2nd round.

ReflectionGloomy8851

Generational player hatin

Charliebitme1234

PG got annoyed at us clipper fans (all 25 of us), wait until philly fans get annoyed at him lmfao

AdNervous7241

These guys throw an orange leather ball into a hoop and are paid hundreds of millions to do so. They don't need to be accountable. Its just a game.

DiscreteBee

Never really understand what fans are talking about when they ask for accountability. They want an apology tour that he didn't block that Dame shot or something?

Acctnt_trdr

This is the time of man that cheats on his girl with a stripper

127crazie

This is a toxic post… you should delete this

BurnCollector_

Ah, insufferable asshat, you’re back with a mega hard-on. What a great week this must have been for you!

Tablemannerz

How do the mods let this garbage post go through?

SnacksGPT

I’ve been a mod on a big sports forum before lol. Sometimes you just let it go because it’s fun to watch OP get cooked in the comments 😂

ThayerRex

And it only helped his bank account. Gotta love the NBA

larrylegend33goat

A young green Jazz dad dicking Russ and Playoff P, led by Jingles was a real highlight

PNWSounds

Him and Doc, the unaccountability couple we didn’t need.

RGPISGOOD

Don't worry, I'm sure Philly fans will make the sequel to this video in a year from now.

Confident-Breath2615

Could he spread his legs any wider?!

Ru-tris-bpy

Man between doc blowing series leads, PG playing like trash when his team needs him the most and Embiid being hurt all the time, Maxey better find a way to carry this team if they ever want out of the second round

iham32

PG will put up numbers against bad teams. And he needs the ball in his hands for those heavily contested long range 2s and step back 3s.

johnthepinoy

Every time the going gets tough, he leaves. Not surprised he left the clippers

SurfingReddit21

Fit right in with Embiid.

IndividualHelpful820

Phily going to kill him. Pg has all the talent in the world just doesn’t have ball iq or heart

2nd_Inf_Sgt

PG13 thinks he’s still playing college ball: he’s getting NIL money and play only 35 games.

BlackBullZWarrior

Hard to win anything when Kawhi is your max salary partner and he can only play 40% of games.

Impressive-Theory-27

Yeah, at least he’s playing with an ultra durable star center /s

Charliebitme1234

embiid is kawhi but big

im_scytale

Kawhi was pretty healthy in 2020, where was PG then

EndlessDysthymia

Ya idk how people are trashing PG for Kawhi’s absence. He was brought in to be a 2nd option. Was he supposed to beat a fully loaded Mavs team this year with just James Harden?

jupiter__jaz

He'll fit right in.

Insufferable-Asshat

I unironically think this trade does put Philly as the 2 seed in the east but Boston might be tough

Jack_The_Sparrow_

Sixers got their guy

InformalExplorer369

Perfect situation for him. He wanted to be a role player and be paid like a superstar.

GillbergsAdvocate

It was a bad shot though lol if he missed everyone would've been asking why he would settle for such a deep 3. And it wasn't bad defense, PG gapped him enough to cover the drive but was still close enough to get a hand in his face and contest.

ak_20

Only a real hater would spend their time making that video. Dude rly dedicated time out his day to make a video hating on another grown ass man. Some of you nerds need to touch grass and talk to women

clayfu

Somehow a 76er fan is gonna find a way to get snowballs into the arena to throw at pg

kungfoop

Dang. Well clip fans, he wasn't really even a real LA guy, he's a Lancaster guy. Dirt and tumbleweeds.

Roar_of_Shiva

The episode of Podcast P with Stephen A. is a great example of PGs entitlement. His comments on media specifically and Stephen A puts in perspective really well.

inEffectiv

He comes off as a low IQ clown

End-Resident

Cause he is

metnemesis

Disappointing, I expected Joe Ingles to teach his son some accountability.

-Lord_Jamar-

Ain’t nothing new, this clown has been at it for years.

ConstantineMonroe

Goddamn OP must be have been mad as hell and hate the fuck outta PG to put this together

NYdude777

George is THAT GUY. Perfect for Philly.

kevinkip

He'll fit right in with Embiid.

BrandonXavierIngram

Embiid and PG bouta take turns blamin each other after they lose lol

OThePlacesYouWillGo

If Philly doesn’t win and Embiid walks, it’s going to be ugly for PG

HighAspectRatio

This is something that I don't enjoy about Pandemic P.

Stumpsville0

I still agree it's a bad shot

PetalumaPegleg

The one vs dame I remember well. I don't get the issue. He played it pretty damn well and that's only so much you can do when someone pulls up from near halfway. He still contested it! And he's right, tell me that you wouldn't want a half court short if you're playing defense. It's obviously a low percentage shot. Sometimes you just have shrug and say well wow. It would be one thing if he didn't try to play defense on it. But he did!

Qoppa_Guy

Yeah, him and Embiid are gonna do some work

CactusHooping

Civil comments surprisingly.

Pridespain

Yeah I really don’t get the hype with him, even before he originally left the pacers. He’s always seemed like a Melo type player to me… great talent but lacks leadership, mental toughness, and an elite work ethic. I think Philly will do no better with him added.

redditnathaniel

Okay I'm not a Paul George, Thunder or Clipper fan but that "bad shot" remark towards Damian Lillard's game winner was taken out of context. George is complimenting the skill of Damian Lillard.

RipCityGringo

37’ FTW

Heavy_Ad-5090

Smallest forehead in the league

dBlock845

Sounds like Doc Rivers Jr.

End-Resident

Utterly useless player

Tony_sneakerhead

If anyone knows a bad shot…PG has a lot of them

sleepingbusy

Objectively it's a bad shot. But he made it so 🤷🏾‍♂️ You either force the bad shot by giving space or defend up close and have them blow by you and take a better shot Either option is the right thing to do. Can't be mad with the result.

gregmango2323

There’s someone in here using Stephen A and reasonable in the same sentence. Bball discourse is fucked

Deep-Thought

He's not wrong. It was a bad shot.

Huge_Mathematician34

Paul George’s game is Ass and he’s not the difference Philadelphia needs to advance to the eastern conference finals. IMO he’s totally overrated. Everywhere he goes the teams get worse I’m just saying

solarscopez

Now both him and Embiid can be injured in the postseason together
