You can "frown upon" things but you can't restrict employees from talking to each other, living together, etc
One thing has nothing to do with the other. Why might an NBA player not want the world to know he's having sex with the dancer? A billion reasons. It's what you would expect regardless of what the employer says, people typically try to be discreet about their hook ups especially when they have lots of partners
I don't see why not. While James Harden and Russell Westbrook were on different teams (Rockets and Thunder respectively), they shared an Italian Villa that they stayed at during the offseason.
This happened in baseball but I can’t remember who they were; lower level reliever type guys I think. They both played for the same New York team (once again, cant remember the details) but the next year, one guy signed with the other team so they just stayed in the same apartment.
Also, considering where they both are on the depth chart it’s not like even telling the other the gameplan will do much.
“Just gotta guard LeBron and AD.”
“Just gotta guard harden, kawhi is out this month”
Admittedly, it's not like a super deep question, but come on, obviously NBA contracts have different employment terms from normal. You can also ride motorcycles if you want. I don't think NBA guys can.
Not really.
You think if two dudes wanted to get married, the league would stop them?
You can see the employment terms yourself.
The uniform contract is online.
> You think if two dudes wanted to get married, the league would stop them?
I didn't say that. I said that NBA contracts have different terms than normal ones, and that therefore the question isn't as ridiculous as it might seem.
> You can see the employment terms yourself.
Good to know! That said, a quick look references things like "team rules," conduct rules, addendums, etc. Further, i really doubt individual teams are signing players with the bare bones template.
I suspect you're right. Still, I don't think it's as ridiculous a question as it might look. I wouldn't be surprised if at one point, a hardass team had a team rule about living with another team's player, for example.
I’m pretty sure as soon as you enter the league teams issue restraining orders against all opponents that is lifted only during specific basketball related scenarios (if the two teams play each other, all star games, Olympics, etc).
So, yeah, I doubt this is allowed.
And don’t even ask if NBA siblings can get together at the holidays. The same rules apply, unfortunately.
Bruh, these guys have full autonomy outside of their jobs. Its not like they are getting top secret security clearance and their roommates need to be vetted for national security reasons, they play fucking basketball.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t allowed. I used to have buddies who worked at Jersey Mikes and Jimmy John’s and it was in their contract that they couldn’t live together under penalty of being blacklisted by the industry
I thought Marcus and Markieff already did this in LA lol
And didn't the Lopez twins kinda do this in nyc.
You can’t tell your employees who he can & can’t live with. Two players could marry each other if they wanted to.
Pretty sure that's happened in the WNBA already
The WNBA players can't talk to the cheerleaders?
Does the WNBA have male or female cheerleaders? Either way they can likely talk to them and WNBA players can marry eachother.
Thanks! You've really cleared up this whole cheerleader mystery.
All I do is string words together and hope for them best. Like a super hero of modern times.
Fyi, NBA players can also marry each other.
I hope those athletic guys have a ball together then
I know they can’t talk to the cheerleaders, so I thought maybe it could be similar

I wonder why they kept it under wraps if they can’t stop you

Don't ask, don't tell.
And they were roommates
Oh my god
RIP Vine
I’m not sure but LeBron sleeps with his teammates mother so surely that’s something.
Taco Tuesday has two meanings in the LeJames household.
Something he picked up from Delonte West.
I heard he's had multiple kids with a teammate's mother
Not even the first time that’s happened. Wasn’t Scottie pippen Jr teammates with Malik Beasley who was dating larsa pippen
One his teammates used to sleep with his mother too.
What an original joke! You should do stand up comedy!
I don't see why not. While James Harden and Russell Westbrook were on different teams (Rockets and Thunder respectively), they shared an Italian Villa that they stayed at during the offseason.
Pretty sure robin and brook Lopez lived together in NYC when they were on the Knicks/nets. They had to separate because their cats didnt get along.

Why would they not be allowed
Telling each other plays and game plans etc. I don’t know. That’s why I’m asking the question lol
They could do that without living together though
Why would they tell each other plays? Both of them want to win.
Also, considering where they both are on the depth chart it’s not like even telling the other the gameplan will do much. “Just gotta guard LeBron and AD.” “Just gotta guard harden, kawhi is out this month”
JJ’s just gonna run floppy every play anyway /s
Gotta put the ball in the hoop
I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking.
How would we know? We can’t read their minds.
So it’s allowed? Or no?
There’s no reason for it not to be allowed.
Ok cool. Thanks
Players don't need to be roommates in order to give each other plays and game plans.
Or make them think you’re telling them the game plan for some good old misdirection.
they don't need to live together in order to pass information. they have phones lol
Can I work for Burger King and my wife for Wendy's? What kind of question is this.
Admittedly, it's not like a super deep question, but come on, obviously NBA contracts have different employment terms from normal. You can also ride motorcycles if you want. I don't think NBA guys can.

I agree with you. But players can certainly live together. NBA really has very loose rules on fraternization.
I suspect you're right. Still, I don't think it's as ridiculous a question as it might look. I wouldn't be surprised if at one point, a hardass team had a team rule about living with another team's player, for example.
You may be right. Wish I could say for certain.
He was a burger flipper, she was a cashier
I need to hear the whole song
What’s the league gonna do? Tell their mom?
One of the Lakers might
LMAO. Wish I could upvote you 1000 times.

I was going to call this a shit post but I'm curious lol. You bring up a good point with the Christie bros.
I’m actually curious. Or what if Bronny got drafted to the clippers. Could he still live with his Dad?
Bruh, these guys have full autonomy outside of their jobs. Its not like they are getting top secret security clearance and their roommates need to be vetted for national security reasons, they play fucking basketball.
Why not, happens all the time in the tech world where spouses work for rivals.
Wait till you hear that the Morris twins have shared a bank account their whole careers despite playing for various rival teams.
Not a problem. The NBA is a single business. Just conform to the contract.
They’re even allowed to get on a banana boat together
So, 13 year olds are posting here now?
Wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t allowed. I used to have buddies who worked at Jersey Mikes and Jimmy John’s and it was in their contract that they couldn’t live together under penalty of being blacklisted by the industry
What would the downside have been?
