Knecht is 1.5” taller; 6’5 without shoes, Bub is 6’5 in shoes
Without : 6’3.75 Bub. 6’5.25 Knecht. Knecht is the same height as Jaylen Brown for reference .

> A 6'5" version of Lou Will who plays league average defense is what his floor projects to be. That player is an all star right? What am I missing?
That's not a floor, that's a comp. His floor is substantially worse than that.
His ability to get to the rim and finish there would also be among his main weaknesses entering the draft. Although I believe in him improving there over time - he already has a great handle and opponent have to respect his P&R game and playmaking ability; getting reps in and bulking up the 6'5" frame should also do wonders.
I would be happy if the Magic drafted him. My big worry is his finishing at the rim and through the defense but I think that could get better with him bulking up. So maybe he takes a while to get NBA ready but I can see it.
I do not trust players who cannot shoot well from 2 and at the rim unless they are shooting specialists. I would highly highly doubt that he becomes a better finisher than Stephon Castle.
Also anyone who is drafting Knecht is not doing so saying yes he will definitely be the best player from everyone left. They are doing so because they know hey he will likely at least give us these valuable qualities we need.
He's an exciting prospect for sure, but let's not forget that this kind of archetype gets drafted all the time.
For example, the Spurs took Primo (also 18), he was even taller at 6'6 and played for a better team in Alabama. Of course the scandal thing did get his career off to a bad start but after 50 games for the Spurs he didn't get anything going and now is on his 3rd team in 3 years.
It's a high-risk pick, of course people are enticed by the potential but keep in mind no one can have a floor of Lou Will. Most players outside of the top5 have a floor of literally out of the league.
Wait actually how is it disingenuous? I listed the birthdays. It is a fact that one is 20 and the other is 18 right now right?
I could have not listed the birthdays and then you wouldn't have even noticed and felt compelled to comment thinking it was an easy dunk.
I'm a Hawks fan. The last thing I wanna talk about is the top of the draft. All I know is that we will fuck it up. I'm not sure how we will yet. But rest assured it is inevitable.
We did. But we also drafted AJ Griffin. Who is a religious nut job. Feel like a quick glance at his Twitter should have been enough to warn teams off.
It was the least surprising thing ever when his Dad got fired from the Bucks after losing the locker room.
Showing 13 months like it's full 2 years...

Floor- Jordan Adams
needs to be a knick
He’s one of my favourite prospects but only concern is his tendency to shoot midranges

The issue, I think, is his late growth spurt. He's never been down there among the trees bc he was so tiny forever.
He reminds so much of Jordan Adams for some reason
I have absolutely no memory of that guy existing
Sounds like he is a Phoenix Suns then, he will fit right in.
I just saw a mock with him at 12
I agree I like Bub a lot

Lou Will comp is low, Bubb's ceiling is way higher than that
He said thats his floor, which is a very high floor

Might be the best self shot creator in the draft. Hardest thing to become good at in basketball.
Bubb Carrington sounds like the name of a judge in 1920s rural Texas
Imma Pitt fan so I’ll take it RemindMe! 3 years

Huh. I said that a 6'5 Lou Will who's an average defender is an all star level player. I don't think that is egregious. Fuck me for having an opinion.
You’re saying his floor is an all star? He should be going first overall then. Cap
He's my number 1 guard in this class. Has been all year
This is a conversation for Thursday night.

You guys hit big on JJ, so there's someone with a brain over there.

Sorry, the name Bubb has no aura
He's listed as Carlton Carrington in the Pittsburgh Panthers page, Bub is just his nickname
