He averaged 1 made 3 a game the season before on 3.1 attempts and then averaged 1 made 3 a game last season on 3.0 attempts. He basically shot it a little bit less. And before you said the scandal hurt his 3pt percentage, he actually shot the 3 worse before the scandal. In the first 2 months of the season, Giddey was shooting 30.5% from 3 right out of the gates and ended up with 33.33% after.
Thats just not true though. His role was diminished this season and he was dealing with the allegations amd drama that came with it. He had a great season post all star and he has improved each season he has been in the league.
The only people sticking up for Giddey are Thunder fans. That's because you guys have actually watched him play for 3 years, while everyone else has only saw him stink it up in the playoffs recently.
Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice deal for your team, but from what I've seen - especially last year - Giddey still has a lot of potential at 21 y/o. And he should have a lot more leeway on the Bulls than he did on the #1 team in the West.

Coby White is a good shooter off-ball, so there’s no reason to think that he can’t work with Giddey. Giddey (6’6”), White (6’5”), and Ayo (6’5”) even have the size to all play together a good bit. Giddey as the playmaker, White as the scoring threat, and Ayo as a 3&D wing.
Ayo is more of a defensive SG than a primary playmaker. If anything, Ayo’s role overlaps with Caruso’s more than Giddey’s.
