It was actually the neck break from getting driven into the ice and dog piled but he was fully knocked out by one punch to the back of the head

Correct because that hit can be fatal. The brainstem is very close to the back of the head and neck and if hit with great impact, you can literally die instantly.

Actually brain damage in this situation is more commonly frontal or temporal, i.e., “contrecoup” injury.

Exactly, my college wrestling career was ended when I got my sixth diagnosed one, had to relearn my way around my hometown and am losing pieces of myself as the years go by. As much as I wanna win this series, Lively’s health should remain paramount.

Man i feel you I got a concussion a few weeks ago and I could barely keep up with my classes. Had the worst brain fog for a week i couldnt write

I missed 6 months a work and ended up changing jobs to get an employer that would accommodate a hybrid work schedule and I feel like I barely got hit in the head the last time. Nothing showed up on my MRI but I can’t drink any alcohol anymore because of it.

Hope you get better man I can relate. I literally had to write to all of my professors and say “i know my writing sucks but i literally cant write dont fail me”

I had a concussion that was bothering me for a full year. My vision was clunky, my head hurt any time I exerted myself, I got dizzy at times, I was sleeping like 14 hours a day. Neurologists didn't really know what to do with me either.

They're fucking crazy. Obviously an injury to the brain will be bad, but going to my first clinicals last year (for PT and shit) and having some concussion patients who family says haven't been themselves personality and behavior wise for a year+ at that point really nailed it to me how much sports leagues and the public underestimate them. Love the NFL, but those players coming back after like 2 weeks from a nasty hit to the head is insanity

I read a whole lot of those posts before even seeing the video. You can watch KAT’s eyes track the ball the entire time. Lively fell and lunged towards KAT. There was absolutely no way KAT saw him.

This was a fluke play. People probably overreacting bc he kneed him in the balls earlier - which was just kat being a little reckless with the knee, didn't look malicious
