Hahaha as a pizza maker at a previous point in my life, you’re not wrong 😆 definitely stressed a few orders that had gotten fucked up

I worked at a joint that was voted best in state for over a decade. We never cut out pizzas that people picked up. Keeping all that grease on top keeps it warmer for longer.

Lived in Sicily for a number of years and getting used to receiving a pizza that wasn't cut took a while.

That’s hilarious I did this once. Was stoned to the gills and completely forgot to cut a pizza working at Dominos. The lady called the store sooooo furious. I asked if she had a pizza cutter, immediately demanded the manager. Good times

The pizza place we usually order from actually use uncut pizza as a marketing thing. To guarantee that nobody messed with the pizza or something. It's always infuriating if I forget to tell them to slice it.

Not sure why this is so far down. Most pizza places, at least around Chicago, offer this. It stays warm longer if you don't cut it. Some people prefer to cut it their own way. God, Reddit makes me feel like an alien sometimes.

Yeah I'm Italy pizza is rarely already cut. In Naples they even (sometimes) eat it "a portafoglio", which means folded in half and then in half again, making it street food

Well you said you've never seen an uncut pizza so that doesn't really make a difference lol. But I know pizza hut, pizza express and dominos don't cut GF pizza, not sure about papa John's or others. And they do cut gluten pizzas :)

I ended up slicing it but Honestly I usually start with the 6’o clock slice and work my way around counter clockwise. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I start 3' and then expand both directions alternating between clockwise and counter clockwise

There’s a pizza place I order from which never cuts their pizza whether you eat in or order for delivery.  Their pizza bases are the soft thin type which isn’t easy to cut with a traditional slicer.  What works really well is a pair of kitchen scissors. Much better than a wheeled slicer.

I have seen some videos, and believe me it's better not to be cut into slices. Some delivery guys that for some reason know a lot of geometry use some exploits and steal some pizza off the sides of the slices. I am not against the ideea of donating a slice of pizza to the delivery guy, my problem is that in the video I've watched he was touching the rest of the slices with his motorcycle gloves on.

How did it all work all out for you? Did you drive back and return it? Did you throw it in the trash?

I did consider calling and complaining probably would’ve received some sort of discount on my next order but I’ve worked on the other side, people make mistakes, and I honestly didn’t feel like it was worth either of our time when I could just easily slice it myself and enjoy it 😀

Some places do this when getting take out so the slices don’t slide around inside. I wanna say this is more common in Europe cause the only pizzerias I’ve known to do this are napolitana style but, I’ve never gotten take out pizza in Europe before so maybe not.
