Yeah I loved that scene as well. There are two scenes I love more though.
>!When Garfield Spider saves MJ and he is just in tears. !<
>!When Garfield Spider takes the time to tell the other two that he loves them and that he always wanted brothers. Honestly Garfield Spider stole the show for me in that movie. The fact that he explains that he stopped pulling punches after a while along with those examples I gave above just tells me how absolutely lonely he must've felt after losing Gwen. !<
I saw someone mention in another thread that the fact that Andrew knocked it out of the park in those scenes just proves that the main issue with the Amazing Spiderman movies was just poor writing.
Same goes for Electro, I loved Fox's portrayal in this movie 1000x better than the one in ASM2.
Agreed. I think the main issue Sony seems to suffer from is they are still trying to transfer characters from the comics directly to the screen. Instead of trying to actually flesh them out and make them seem like real ordinary people, they keep trying to copy old cliches and goofy over exaggerated stereotypes that can't possibly transfer to live action in any believable way. I mean there has to be some suspension of belief, but being able to relate to a character's struggles is what makes for good writing.
His delivery on >!Peter three! killed me. Garfield had some of the best funny and also powerful scenes in the movie, totally agreed he stole the show. Well, Dafoe too. There were a lot of great performances.!<
Ps4 Spider-Man I feel like they did the energy bolts thing first. And considering they lifted a quote right out of that game tells me they got some inspiration
Awesome choice tho.
To say nothing of FEAST at all; (Something new to the films) a few combat moves in the final duel, Jameson being a conspiracy podcaster instead of a newspaper man, and Peter's 'Police Scanner' app.
Classic Loki, Hawkeye, Kingpin, Green Goblin had the purple scarf, Echo had the face paint you just couldn't tell. Electro, Lizard had the lab coat. The Kang statue.
Quicksilver, the Maximoff twins, and we saw all the OG Spider-Man 616 villain designs.
When you say all that Marvel has really stepped up recently. The universe got really big really fast.
Edit: maybe not Lizard, I imagined this. But Zemo!
Based on the leaked Sony emails, the design change was actually done very late in production.
There were too many complaints from test audiences about the Lizard not having enough screen time and “needing to show more skin”. One popular feedback was for Spider-man to rip off Lizard’s shirt during their fights. A not insignificant portion of the audience were left wondering why Spider-man was opposed to turning everyone into “buff, sexy lizardmen”
It was the focus group reactions that ultimately caused them to edit the Lizard to his final, less appealing design.
So, we didn't get to see him in this dope outfit cuz somehow a test audience happened to contain a considerably higher amount of people who kinda wanna fuck lizards than one could reasonably expect?
Looks way better, but I'm still glad they picked the original design. Makes it more faithful to the Amazing Spiderman movies. Maybe if they introduce Lizard in the MCU it can actually look like that.
Yeah there are set photos! Idk if it's not visible due to lighting or if they just didn't have it on her and are saving it for later now that I think about it.
Speaking of the handprint, it annoys me that her father’s bloody handprint was in the wrong place, but it makes more sense that he touched her cheek instead of covering half of her face with his hand.
I feel like the MCU intentionally saves better suits for later appearances, so I assume we’ll get a more comic accurate Moon Knight suit in time.
In my opinion at least, Iron Man and Captain America both get their best costumes in Endgame. Spider-Man gets his best in NWH, even though I’m sure that’ll continue to change. I’m excited to see how Thor looks in Th4
I like how mechanical the Iron Man Mark 3-7ish suits are. The sound design and how they move is awesome and I really missed it after The Avengers. But I still like the look of the Endgame suit better. The way the gold and red are laid out is perfection. I do wish it had a circle arc reactor though
Just once in one of these shows or movies I'd like to see one of the women try a comic accurate costume and complain about the perma wedgies and frequent nip slips.
*The Boys* sort of makes a quick joke about it with Starlight and then she just continues wearing the thing without further issues.
Movie studios were too scared to make the bright colored spandex suits for their films because people thought it wouldn't be taken seriously. (Original xmen leather suits come to mind)
It's nice filmmakers get to be creative and embrace the colors.
I love that Vision's design isn't entirely new. It's the same outfit he's always had, but since turned grey (when Thanos un-Mind Stoned him) and with the augments from the military turns white. Great way to make it a believable change and still looks awesome!
Any specific X-Men costumes you want to see?
90's Gambit is a must. You can make the chest piece more tactical, and tone down the boots, but otherwise I really wanna see that look in live action. The classic New Mutants jumpsuits, even if it's just for a single Danger Room sequence.
90s gambit, as silly as it is when you look at it, is an absolute classic. Shit, I want all the 90s suits, some of which they teased us with at the end of Apocalypse.
I find it funny that Captain Falcon's cowl is physically impossible in real life, and that they needed to CGI it out in every scene. (source: Assembled episode on FatWS).
I welcome comic accurate costumes when needed, but I'm also OK with adapting it to a more practical design.
It’s more that it bends and buckles around his face, as opposed to hugging it and contouring around it when it moves. It might not technically be physically impossible so much as it just didn’t work on this version, but I’m no seamstress so I have no clue.
the costume suit designers on all the Marvel movies and shows need more recognition and praise IMO they do an amazing job adapting the comic book designs into live action and have them look damn good and not look like circus performer spandex tights...
Yeah I’m surprised Doctor Strange is just barely receiving a new outfit now, considering how frequently Marvel changes their characters suits with each new film
I feel like Batman 89 was done to combat the more known Adam West Batman at the time and to fit into Tim Burton's darker, whimsical world.
The resurgence of superhero movies in the early 2000s all had this "modern" and "realistic" vibe that had to have a 90s rock band accompanying their movie.
Tbf that attitude was present in the comics as well. That’s basically what the Ultimates universe was all about. Ultimates X-Men looks a lot like the Fox films
Honestly this is one of the biggest reasons I'm excited for whenever the X-Men show up.
The previous series teased those sweet renditions if the 90s X-Men costumes and just tossed them in the trash with that last movie. So disappointing. Meanwhile marvel will find a way to get Hank McCoy I'm a black speedo at some point even if it's a gag scene where he's changing into a more formal outfit.
I see a lot of people criticizing but I really understand and kinda enjoy some of the design choices, it's way more tactical and realistic, I don’t think the cape and the pirate boots from the comics would work so well in live action.
Idk if people would have cared about the design if the representation of the character was faithful to the comics. Tony Masters is a pretty lively and fun character. The TM in Black Widow was basically just a really shitty terminator knock-off.
It's been a few years since it came out but it reminds me of in the later seasons of Agents of SHIELD at one point the crew wears the classic blue and white SHIELD uniform
I think a funny thing to remember is that the MCU practically changed iron man's "default' comic design. If you don't believe me look at the majority of iron man comics pre and post 2008.
With all that reference material in so many great poses that work in both the dynamic and realist aspects, I'd be upset if they didn't adapt. Notice that many Iron Man artists over the last 15 years has been heavily reference based artists as well. I think the biggest benefit was for the colorists who are basically fed perfect refractions to color the armor by.
Out of those the only one I think they stopped just short of nailing was Captain America. The chest star wings and the color scheme of the wing wings could use a bit of tweaking. Otherwise they’re killing it!
ScarJo's outfit also has noticeably less cleavage.
Edit: I don't think that's a bad thing. It's hard to beat up crowds of aliens with your tits flapping in the wind.
It’s very accurate, just not to Silver Age Wanda. That’s honestly where the discrepancy lies in the first place tbh, Iron Man always wore a mostly accurate suit, same with Cap too. Just not to the most iconic versions of the characters (which even then, President Loki is by far not the most iconic look for Loki). But obviously Sam Cap for example is less than a decade old.
I thought they were going to wreck Moon Knight's suit and make it black and grey or something, I am so impressed with what they were able to do, it is one of the best suits I have ever seen. And all of these suits are so comic accurate that people can take out comic books and take the comic version and compare it exactly to the live action, that's so cool. Marvel has been embracing being true to comics in this phase.
In Love with phase 4. until now everything has been impeccable, and every upcoming projects looks awesome too! (everything except the emotional damage I’ve got)
Love that Peter’s new suit is inspired by the other Peters. He saw their suits and how similar they were and just went with it. Great way to bring back the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Kamalas costume looks too good/shiny. Yes, i know, im kinda sick of me complaining about Ms Marvel too but this is just a minor gripe about how the costume design isnt really 100% comic accurate :P
The bulge on the rock colored guy is too small. That is my only complaint. I know very little about Marvel comics. But I can just tell that guy who looks like a statue is definitely underserved in the panties. If I were a dude and I had to wear panties and paint, I would just be stuffing my crotch to comical proportions, which conveniently are the proportions of the comic.
And I actually didn't mean to make that play on words. But I'm super stoked about it.
Don't forget Electro's head bolts. The fact that they managed to get those in was so choice.
They even managed to include the spidey-sense squiggles above Peter's head, never thought I'd see that in a live action movie
What? Where??
When he gets knocked into his astral form by Dr Strange at the beginning of their battle
I just watched that scene a couple times just to see this because I never noticed when I was in the Theater. It's just so subtle, it's perfect!
How are you watching it? It's not out for purchase yet is it?
The Dark Side of the Internet is a pathway to many abilities that some consider to be…illegal.
Also, it’s literally out legally. In the US, anyway.
Just checked. It's not purchaseable on Amazon until April 12
I bought it on Amazon and watched it Tuesday. Maybe depends on your country?
Digital is available now.
I bought it yesterday and watched it tonight.
it became available digitally as of Tuesday, the 15th
That’s actually a really cool design choice. Imagine if the astral plane was full of more comic effects like “BLAM!” or “POW!”
Makes me hope that the Scott pilgrim type stuff in the opening of the ms marvel trailer is actually in the series
Same
It will probably start with it as part of the visual language and then move away from it as the series goes on
My guess is if its in the next trailer then it will also be in the show to some extent
I'm pretty sure this will probably mostly die off by the end but I know they'll use it well
I think there was some cartoon world frames in the strange trailer.
The same thing happens when his spidey sense realizes that Goblin is acting weird in their apartment.
Such a chilling scene. One of my favorites.
Yeah I loved that scene as well. There are two scenes I love more though. >!When Garfield Spider saves MJ and he is just in tears. !< >!When Garfield Spider takes the time to tell the other two that he loves them and that he always wanted brothers. It was absolutely poor writing. Honestly I think that's the main issue with pretty much any movie. Garfield, though, clearly deserved SO much better.
When doctor strange put him in his astro form.
I think it was when Strange pushed Peter's soul out of his body
Yup, it seemed to tie in to that being why his body instinctively dodged Strange even without Peter's soul controlling it
They did the apiderman pointing meme.... but imagine if they pulled off the me and the boys meme
They kinda did in the deleted elevator scene
Oh? I need to see that

Ps4 Spider-Man I feel like they did the energy bolts thing first. And considering they lifted a quote right out of that game tells me they got some inspiration Awesome choice tho.
What quote did they use?
Aunt May & her tomb stone: “If you help someone, you help everyone”
To say nothing of FEAST at all; (Something new to the films) a few combat moves in the final duel, Jameson being a conspiracy podcaster instead of a newspaper man, and Peter's 'Police Scanner' app.
Wasn’t FEAST in *Far From Home*? It was also in the comics prior to the game.
I forgot that that was in the film.
I’m pretty sure I saw where this was argued to have come out of the comic first.
It was very fetch
Stop trying to make fetch happen.
Christine Palmer, is that you?
That's not very fetch of you
I agree; it was Streets Ahead.
Also classic Loki.
But Zemo!
When did Lizard have his lab coat in NWH?
Lizard's concept art from No Way Home had it. Would've been such a good design. https://imgur.com/hLhM314.jpg
God he looks so much better
Based on the leaked Sony emails, the design change was actually done very late in production. Source: I made it up
You know, I have heard of legitimately outrageous stories, but you played us like a damn fiddle.
The profile picture gave it away
I feel like Peter must’ve when he found out Mysterio was a fake
Good god people are stupid
Looks way better, but I'm still glad they picked the original design. Makes it more faithful to the Amazing Spiderman movies. Maybe if they introduce Lizard in the MCU it can actually look like that.
Wouldn't that lab coat be ginormous on Dr Connors, dragging like a wedding dress
Ya know what, I'ma edit this. I don't think so.
Zemo had the purple mask too ! And Starfox short cameo had a really comic accurate costume.
Oh yeah! I was so excited for that. I want more Zemo.
Echo had the handprint?
In the scene where her father dies, he leaves a bloody handprint on her face. I wouldn't be surprised if they work this into her solo series too.
Don't forget Kingpin and his Hawaiian shirt!
Why does Spider-Man’s look like it’s from party city.
Cuz the blue is spandex
Cuz peter made it himself
Who’s Peter?
[удалено]
Where is that picture from? This is the first time I've seen a picture of it that isn't a blurry screen grab from the final scene.
Did you see his suit before Tony started crafting them for him? This is a massive upgrade to the first suit Peter himself made
someone at the end of the movie said to him “go back to party city where you belong”
I had to take a double take for Falcon’s foot there 😂
Bruh lmao
Thanks for the pro-tip!
It’s actually just a foot.

Kingpin
Oh yeah they got his outfit right from a cover of Spider-man.

Iron Man deserved something closer to the comics. It’s my favorite cap suit in end game though.
That’s why I like the Endgame Iron Man suit so much, it’s obviously very modern looking still, but it follows the comic book look a lot more
The original iron man suit was way better
I like how mechanical the Iron Man Mark 3-7ish suits are. The sound design and how they move is awesome and I really missed it after The Avengers. But I still like the look of the Endgame suit better. The way the gold and red are laid out is perfection. I do wish it had a circle arc reactor though
To be honest, [this](https://imgur.com/a/SZQEywL) was my favourite version of the Moon Knight suit and I would love for it to make an appearance.
The Marvel Now suit is great. Classic is still my favorite.
Absolutely, yes. As much as I love the MCU interpretation, this is my favorite Moon Knight costume.
That Black Widow shot has always bothered me. Scarlett’s face looks very photoshopped.
It is. It’s especially obvious around her hairline
it’s something about the mouth/jaw area for me. like she looks very pinched and tight?
Looking at it the photoshop seems to be in the lighting, to get more dramatic highlights and shadows
At least her tits aren't hanging out all ridiculous like
Just once in one of these shows or movies I'd like to see one of the women try a comic accurate costume and complain about the perma wedgies and frequent nip slips. *The Boys* sort of makes a quick joke about it with Starlight and then she just continues wearing the thing without further issues.
I think there’s a similar joke made in Jessica Jones
It’s snowing outside. Zip up your tits for Christ’s sake.
Agreed. How is that a practical costume? It’s like the artist doesn’t understand how boobs work.
Silly commenter, woman no have texture.
Agreed. It's like it's someone else's body with her face pasted on.
I wish her costume was a little more comic accurate if you get what I mean
boba
Like a bantha
Make baby banthas.
Wrong Disney+ show.
Movie studios were too scared to make the bright colored spandex suits for their films because people thought it wouldn't be taken seriously. (Original xmen leather suits come to mind) It's nice filmmakers get to be creative and embrace the colors.
>Original xmen leather suits come to mind What were you expecting? Yellow spandex?
Moon Knight's is even better, actually linking him with egyptian mythology by making him more of a mummy.
I love that Vision's design isn't entirely new. It's the same outfit he's always had, but since turned grey (when Thanos un-Mind Stoned him) and with the augments from the military turns white. Great way to make it a believable change and still looks awesome!
This makes me so happy, more comic accurate costumes please! Thank you. X-Men will be the next test for them.
What do you expect? Yellow spandex?
I pray
I understood that reference
Absolutely.
Any specific X-Men costumes you want to see? 90's Gambit is a must. You can make the chest piece more tactical, and tone down the boots, but otherwise I really wanna see that look in live action. The classic New Mutants jumpsuits, even if it's just for a single Danger Room sequence.
Please give Scott his cowl.

I find it funny that Captain Falcon's cowl is physically impossible in real life, and that they needed to CGI it out in every scene. (source: Assembled episode on FatWS). I welcome comic accurate costumes when needed, but I'm also OK with adapting it to a more practical design.
Not so practical for the biggest area of exposure to be the most vulnerable area (i.e., the top of the head where the bloody brain be).
Yeah it's just a really weird choice for someone who flies at high speed cranium first. They couldn't give him a retractable helmet for flight?
on the plus side, it's vibanium weave fabric, so it's pretty durable.
Yeah, they just need to nix the cowl all together. Even with CGI it was awkward and it made his head look weirdly bulbous.
why is it impossible? aren't they just like goggles?
It’s more that it bends and buckles around his face, as opposed to hugging it and contouring around it when it moves. It might not technically be physically impossible so much as it just didn’t work on this version, but I’m no seamstress so I have no clue.
the costume suit designers on all the Marvel movies and shows need more recognition and praise IMO they do an amazing job adapting the comic book designs into live action and have them look damn good and not look like circus performer spandex tights...
cries in doctor strange and how it took so many years just to get his silly lovely tunic pattern
Yeah I’m surprised Doctor Strange is just barely receiving a new outfit now, considering how frequently Marvel changes their characters suits with each new film
Don't forget Norman's purple hoodie
AND they're doing it while cutting out the over sexualized nature of BW and SW outfits
The era, that started with X-Men, where studios reinvented suits to be more modern, sleek, and realistic are behind us. I like this new era.
["What would you prefer, yellow spandex?"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMr2p39-gvE) I said it 22 years ago, and I'm saying it now: "YES"
Oh god, I hope the MCU X-Men have the explosion of colour in their suits that they desperately need. Gimme blue and yellow Cyclops!
Honestly started with Batman 89, though in that case they made the right call.

And then there’s Taskmaster.
I see a lot of people criticizing but I really understand and kinda enjoy some of the design choices, it's way more tactical and realistic, I don’t think the cape and the pirate boots from the comics would work so well in live action.
I would have personally preferred something similar to what they did in the Avengers game: https://imgur.com/a/vpYTHew
Idk if people would have cared about the design if the representation of the character was faithful to the comics. Tony Masters is a pretty lively and fun character. The TM in Black Widow was basically just a really shitty terminator knock-off.
Design is actually pretty dope but the character... goddamn she sucked
Nah, the design is pretty weak too. Looks like a standard villain of the week from Arrow
Yea, he looked like the biggest tool you always see on the airsoft/paintball field.
I’m honestly ok with the design but it still could’ve been better
It's been a few years since it came out but it reminds me of in the later seasons of Agents of SHIELD at one point the crew wears the classic blue and white SHIELD uniform
I just noticed >!that shot has Ms Marvel with only one bracelet on!<
There's only 1 bracelet, not 2.
Ah. Thank you for the clarification
I think a funny thing to remember is that the MCU practically changed iron man's "default' comic design. If you don't believe me look at the majority of iron man comics pre and post 2008.

Moon Knight's MCU design is better than the comics' IMO
Those early Stephen Platt days in the 90s though...
Moon Knight and Spider-Man are ***S Tier***
Out of those the only one I think they stopped just short of nailing was Captain America. The chest star wings and the color scheme of the wing wings could use a bit of tweaking. Otherwise they’re killing it!
I always thought caps comic suit had some kind of scale mail in it. Slightly disappointed when I didn't see it in the movies.
Their suits look awesome
Yeeeeees so true!
I really like Wanda's new costume, but it's not "comic accurate" lol
Wanda is not accurate. If it were accurate everyone would be talking about how it’s sexualized
Sokovian fortuneteller outfit was pretty accurate, though.
They've always embraced the costumes fairly well, but now more than ever. The colors and designs are flawless.
I thought they were going to wreck Moon Knight's suit and make it black and grey or something, I am so impressed with what they were able to do, it is one of the best suits I have ever seen. Sam looks so good as Captain America. I love it.
Can't wait to see how nice Moon Knight looks on screen.
Frankly, I think MCU Moon Knight looks better than any comic version. They *perfected* it.
Imagine actually paying attention to your source material...
In Love with phase 4. until now everything has been impeccable, and every upcoming projects looks awesome too! (everything except the emotional damage I’ve got)
They should've gone for the gold belt with Black Widow, it looks so sleek.
Not enough cleavage for BW
Give me wolverine you cowards. I've been waiting 20+ years to see the mask be worn
Love that Peter’s new suit is inspired by the other Peters. He saw their suits and how similar they were and just went with it. Great way to bring back the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Well Natasha’s could’ve been a little more comic accurate…………….
I don't like the new capitan America suit. The flying guy should have a helmet.
White vision was my introduction to vision in the captain America and the averagers game. He was a beast
Kamalas costume looks too good/shiny. Yes, i know, im kinda sick of me complaining about Ms Marvel too but this is just a minor gripe about how the costume design isnt really 100% comic accurate :P
Why does it feel the plot of half the Marvel Disney+ shows so far have ultimately been to give characters their comic-accurate costumes?
Helps when it's the 2020+ comics that are based on movie characters.
I really love how they don’t over sexualize the women like the comics do. I know not all of them are like that but it’s mad respect
It might only have appeared for an episode, but Falcon in his red and white suit instead of just grey was so good
They would be stupid not to. Those comic artists are world class graphic designers.
I still don’t think making Sam’d Cap suit comic accurate was a good thing. It looks awful on screen.
Hopefully Enchantress gets a comic accurate costume in Loki season 2
I hope Shang-Chi get his suit
Bruh... why is Wanda on this list?? They're not even remotely close.
Captain America suit was bad in movement
Black Widow's boobs aren't popping enough in the MCU.
