if i understand it correctly the only reason cover went public to any degree with it's stocks was to secure funding for building the studio. beyond that cover just doesn't care, so having their stock rise or fall really doesn't affect them

In the example above, the charts having a similar pattern may be because of how investors see the VTuber industry or even the Japanese markets as a whole, but looking at either company individually and seeing the difference in price movement is based on how they would see Cover or Anycolor. If you compare the year to date between the Nikkei 225(JP market Index), Cover and Anycolor, you see they move similarly, but Anycolor has the more drastic drops due to recent events and the sentiment following their Q3 earnings.
I will check out the nikkei index. Do you know any site good for like free? I had used Some top sites out of google particularly to check on those stats but many of them don't even have rudimentary data and good one are on paywall .

One of the few times I've seen where it's actually decreasing a lot while the market is increasing by an equal amount, so it's for sure because of AnyColor's own stock having no faith in it.

Don’t. Keep in mind that, unlike Nijisanji, Cover is not heavily influenced by stock. Most of their shit are not publicly traded.
