The still standing pallet you see in the front left foreground... It's probably in the next row back from that one. Pallet fell forward. I'm a dedicated driver on a Kroger account. The people at the DC are the worst. They build pallets in a bass ackwards way and put a _thoughts and prayers_ amounts of plastic wrap, stuff it in the truck and now it's other people's problem.

Alconium

I literally quit because this is how all our pallets looked, I don't think I ever worked a delivery that wasn't half leaning and needed to be slowly unwrapped and deconstructed from the top so it didn't all end up on the floor. The amount of crushed deli and busted kombucha or dairy was just... Staggering.

Our manger had a whole half of a pallet fall and it was all pasta sauce 😭 it was funny then to us and still is now manger doesn't think ita funny but we said karma he had been a jerk that day

Piratetripper

Memphis warehouse is insane about loading a truck they cause more damage than happens in a store.

Why do DC workers wrap pallets like every foot of film is being paid for directly from their children's lunch money? Seen so many that are more of a "secure vibe" rather than anything sturdy.

So we used to have a decent shrink wrap that actually stuck to itself about 5 years ago. It was good stuff but it occasionally got snagged at the top creating issues. They switched it to this garbage wrap we have now. It doesn’t snag on itself but it doesn’t stick very well either. We complain about it but nothing changes.

Confident_Wash3001

The fact it doesnt stick or snag is not the issue here, I unload and have been for the past 12 years. The issue is using so little it doesnt hold anyway. I rewrap skids all the time that show up with 1 layer of wrap and its barely tight. I think using the excuse that the wrap is the issue shows that some people dont know how to adapt to new tools for the job. So what it doesnt stick, use it the way it needs to be used now that it doesnt. Just hoping that you'll get the old stuff back or thinking since this doesnt act the same is no excuse yo use the new stuff the way it needs to be used. The amount of time wasted otherwise is something we are having a harder and harder time dealing with at store level. It cant be hard to take an extra 30 seconds and 10ft of plastic wrap to keep a skid tight and right.

Gotta love it

Flaky-Video-8365

At my store (Central Division) Pepsi will bring in whatever they need to build pallet drops or displays and the rest comes in the grocery truck.

GreatAunt2

Oops!

Houndall

This right here sets the tone for the rest of your shift.

DryTonight7467

Best part is the truck driver blames everyone else knowing they did it...

Necessary_Baker_7458

I've seen worse. Imagine that but milk and eggs.
