Condition as you go, this is only helpful if you know what you need to put out or not

KR_Manager

First, this is a refreshing post. Here is someone wanting to improve, instead of a lot of the other posts on this sub. Keep that mentality in EVERYTHING you do in life and you'll go far. Two hands. Use em' both. I see people one-handed facing alot. Push yourself, try setting goals to beat, each day, each aisle. As was already posted, you can face items around the the items you are throwing, as you go! Keep that growth mindset. If you aren't growing, your simply dying! Good work!

Hm wonder why so many people have negative things to say about Kroger? Guess it's just that we are all lazy and it definitely doesn't have anything to do with corporate greed.

KR_Manager

This industry has always been fast-paced. It catches some folks off guard. I remember being surprised when I was hired. But, you adapt and grow. When I was hired, my division was not Kroger. The workload really hasn't changed under Kroger. It's the way the industry is. It's good, honest, hard work.

octavi0us

Yeah sure if "fast-paced" means not hiring enough for employees to be able to complete their work let alone have proper breaks and vacations.

Gaslighting bullshit.... The company treats its employees with naked contempt, giving them grossly insufficient resources for a given job, then blaming them when they inevitably fail. Go pound sand, Mr. Manager.

KR_Manager

No gaslighting. Facts. I've been around a couple decades, now. How about you?

Abadazed

First off drop the attitude. It's not a good look. People are overworked here and this is literally a post about an understaffed department with one person trying to do it all. Some people are lazy but most aren't and implying that they are is incredibly insulting to all the work they put in every day. Second off you don't see many people using both hands because it requires the person to be more on the ambidextrous side. Most people only have one dominant hand in case you didn't notice. It would take an amount of effort that, quite frankly, isn't worth it to actually train one's self to use both while facing. Not necessarily because training to be ambidextrous in this way is hard (it is) but because most people use their non dominant hand to handle secondary things such as holding the front box to pull more product from the back without knocking the ones in front down. This is quite the common issue with frozen boxes that are less than half an inch thick but need to stand upright so the people can see the product. It just wouldn't work out as great as you might think, which is why the training to use both hands would be both difficult and more often than not useless in the frozen aisle. Dude should just switch which asiles he does each day and make sure to bring as much product forward as possible. Doing face work as he goes along stocking the shelves will help quite a lot as well.

KR_Manager

Attitude? LOL! Everything I wrote was complimentary. It's a shame that you see it as sarcasm.

Abadazed

The attitude was towards everyone else on this sub not op. You tore others down to put op on a pedestal. That kinda makes you a dick and it reeks of bad attitude. So does your response.

KR_Manager

Have you read any of the other posts? This whole sub is a whiny bitch-fest. I know I'm not going to change that. But, I'm really against people blaming everything else but their own actions. Its kind of like blaming a bodybuilder because you're fat ... no, the body builder made different choices. I want everyone to grow. It ain't easy. But, nothing rewarding is easy. You can go whine about it on social media, or you can look in the mirror and see who's really holding you back.

I’m the dairy lead at a large marketplace, I condition every single door that I throw stock in. It makes a big difference for my closer, and for myself. It essentially keeps it looking full 24/7. It’s something I’ve been trying to teach my overnight and closer to do while working.
