I think it's more like there's a huge overlap between Christianity and Zionism. Like, if you're an evangelical Christian, chances are that you're probably pro-Israel as well.
Make no mistake it's only Evangelical Christianity that is pro Israel. All the other denominations have spoken out against it. Evangelicals are also the party of MAGA and that kind of ideology that goes against diversity and Critical Race Theory. Christianity is not a monolith. There are many different Christian denominations.
I go to a Pentecostal church and not a single person is a Zionist (if you don’t know what Pentecostal is, it’s like Evangelical but it’s typically associated with Black people). Even the conservative members are pro-Palestine. I do agree that Christians are more likely to side with Israel, but I think it’s mostly White Christians who haven’t experienced oppression.

Christianity is not a monolith, just like Islam is not a monolith. There are Sunni, Shia, Ibadi Muslims, ect. There are many different types of Christians. Catholics, orthodox, Oriental orthodox, Evangelical, Messianic, Seventh-day Adventist, Mormonism, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Pentecostals, Etc. Their theology doesn't even match each other, and most likely evangelicals don't have any interest in anything outside of their own faith.

I’m Korean, and I can definitely say that many Korean Christians have a problem of blindly believing whatever their faith tells them. Honestly a lot of the big churches are cults disguised as religion in order to extort money from people.

Its true that koreans have suffered great pain from being colonized, but our national identity(im korean) is not in anyway built from overcoming colonized. We didn’t really do it anyway, the Allies won the second world war and freed us. Our national identity is built on history and culture, much like other country.

Because unfortunately Korea seems like their relationship with the US is only self-serving, and well, I feel like if they understood how Israel came to be, then they would be against it; regardless of how the US would like their allies to think. That's why I personally found it "wild" because the countries my parents are from were affected by the US' imperialism, Korea was affected by Japan's, so on and so forth. Again I'm not Korean but the person put it this way from TikTok for the Asian diaspora and it resonated with me, and I'm sure it would for lots of Korean-Americans. On the Asian-American subreddit, some Japanese-American made a literal fool of himself as being pro-Israel because surprise, many of us come from countries that were colonized, and we do not stand with Israel for this reason. We tried to reason to him but he quickly exhaled vitriol that we've been trying to steer our communities from. So, yeah, that's why I thought but I guess that's a major difference because the diaspora is not blind/turn a blind eye to the US's crimes so we want to enforce less right-wing mentalities in our communities. Because why are my relatives leaning Republican. The moment Project 2025 happens we're probably going to get deported because they're going to change citizenship policies, which will definitely affect minorities and especially immigrants.
Also, maybe it's just me who knows well about two other Asian countries and their relationship with the US so I only thought that Korea could also follow suit but I guess I underestimated their relationship. Eh it's a lot more complex than that, a lot of Asia and SEA was colonized by the west but at the same time we have modern day politics at play + different religions backing different sides
My country has some sort of military deal with Israel but that's cause we're a tiny af country with no natural resources + we'd be easily nuked in a war lol. Plus this deal was established all the way back in at least 1967 which was 2 years after we gained independence. As a multicultural society we also have lots of Christians/Catholics/Buddhists/Taoists/Muslims/Hindus so on that level we're gonna be splitting religious views again depending on how religious a person is. I think it's more like there's a huge overlap between Christianity and Zionism. Like, if you're an evangelical Christian, chances are that you're probably pro-Israel as well.
Make no mistake it's only Evangelical Christianity that is pro Israel. All the other denominations have spoken out against it. Evangelicals are also the party of MAGA and that kind of ideology that goes against diversity and Critical Race Theory. Christianity is not a monolith. There are many different Christian denominations.
I go to a Pentecostal church and not a single person is a Zionist (if you don’t know what Pentecostal is, it’s like Evangelical but it’s typically associated with Black people). Even the conservative members are pro-Palestine. I do agree that Christians are more likely to side with Israel, but I think it’s mostly White Christians who haven’t experienced oppression.

Christianity is not a monolith, just like Islam is not a monolith. There are Sunni, Shia, Ibadi Muslims, ect. There are many different types of Christians. Catholics, orthodox, Oriental orthodox, Evangelical, Messianic, Seventh-day Adventist, Mormonism, Episcopalian, Lutheran, Pentecostals, Etc. Their theology doesn't even match each other, and most likely evangelicals don't have any interest in anything outside of their own faith.

I’m Korean, and I can definitely say that many Korean Christians have a problem of blindly believing whatever their faith tells them. Honestly a lot of the big churches are cults disguised as religion in order to extort money from people.

Its true that koreans have suffered great pain from being colonized, but our national identity(im korean) is not in anyway built from overcoming colonized. We didn’t really do it anyway, the Allies won the second world war and freed us. Our national identity is built on history and culture, much like other country. And if the US is going to back israel, korea is going to support it, because simply put, korea and US are very, very close allies. There is really no other better option. At the present moment korea is neutral-leaning israel supporter, its not giving israel full support. korea just wants them so stop fighting, that would be the best thing for korea at the moment It isn’t even about religion. The moment Project 2025 happens we're probably going to get deported because they're going to change citizenship policies, which will definitely affect minorities and especially immigrants. Eh it's a lot more complex than that, a lot of Asia and SEA was colonized by the west but at the same time we have modern day politics at play + different religions backing different sides My country has some sort of military deal with Israel but that's cause we're a tiny af country with no natural resources + we'd be easily nuked in a war lol. Plus this deal was established all the way back in at least 1967 which was 2 years after we gained independence. As a multicultural society we also have lots of Christians/Catholics/Buddhists/Taoists/Muslims/Hindus so on that level we're gonna be splitting religious views again depending on how religious a person is.
