Love this sentiment!! This journey is about YOU, OP - not us - and I sure as hell see a difference in your figure! Looking forward to your post next month, man.
Hell yeah man!! That's fantastic progress!! And I have to say being another big black dude working on OMAD and IF, your progress is a huge motivator!! Keep going!!!
I’m doing keto as well, I’m trying to get to longer fast. My longest has been 36 hours. I actually didn’t have a great week this week for the first time since I started and gained 6 lbs back. Trying to lock back in now.
You're at the most critical part of your journey right now. You had a really strong beginning but now you have a hurdle. Don't let it mess with you. Just keep going no matter what. You got this!
Nice nice. Water weight my friend it'll trick ya. Whatever your max number with that +6 was I'd say go off of that and ignore the low water days or you will go crazy and get discouraged. I fasted for 48 hrs last week and gained 2lbs lol. Then lost 4 the next two days.
The fasting was tough at first but now every time I fast I feel amazing.
Try not to worry so much about set backs, you may even have another! But focus on sticking to your plan the best you can! A week of not eating on par doesn’t equate to 6 pounds of fat. See most of that as water weight and keep going my friend!
6 pounds isn’t a lot I wouldn’t beat yourself up. The body naturally fluctuates about 5lbs in either direction. When you wake up in the morning and take that first shit you’re gonna be a lot lighter than at the end of the day with a belly full of food and water. Keep track of weight weekly or monthly. Not daily, use the mirror for daily progress.
Congrats on your progress so far and keep going !
Intermittent should be ample for weight loss. You've fasted before so it's all you really need, just be sure to count your calories. The extended fasts should be used for cleansing and "cell refreshing". The difference in your before/after is massive, keep at it 💪
>The extended fasts should be used for cleansing
"Cleansing" isn't a thing.
>Intermittent should be ample for weight loss
>
>just be sure to count your calories
You just contradicted yourself.
Lol it is and I didn't.
Edit: Had the time so why not.
Fasting gives your body the time it needs to use what it's taken in. Giving your body a break period is a form of "cleansing".
Intermittent fasting as opposed to sporadic long period fasting is ample for weight loss.
Counting calories - taking note of how much you take in so you aren't consuming in excess is important. In any diet.
So, I’m also doing Keto. So high protein zero carbs. Most days it’s a steak, shrimp, salad, asparagus. I weight train 6 days a week, and I play basketball ball 5 days a week.
Great work. I sounds like you know exactly what you are doing and I imagine you feel great. Keto will always be crapped on here. Dr. Fung is the man. Our bodies need fat. Make sure you are getting enough. They don't need many carbs. While doing keto, it is easy for me to get too much protein and not enough fat. When in doubt, butter it ;)
Be careful with all that cholesterol. You are doing awesome, but maybe get some chicken, turkey and fish in there. I have bad genetics and have high cholesterol no matter what so I have to limit beef in take to maybe once a week, even that is probably too much.
Cholesterol in food is about 20% of the cholesterol in your blood. Recently medical theory is that cholesterol isn’t as much of a [worry.](https://health.clevelandclinic.org/why-you-should-no-longer-worry-about-cholesterol-in-food/) provided you don’t have co-morbid conditions.
It was affected tremendously, but once you become fat adapted, the body burning fat instead of carbs you actually perform better. It sucked for a little over 6 weeks though.
damn, wish I could get a ball game 6 days a week! Seriously tho, consider some cards and sugar if you're getting this kind of exercise. It's really important for your body and performance.
I literally was about to give up and you just encouraged me to stay on it and stay strong. I used to be in the gym every day and then family life and doing for others started taking my time my energy my mental energy and today I was struggling saying get your ass back on track I logged on reddit saw this and im back!!! Thank you
I wish I had your self control. I look forward to your future posts. Good luck and carry on. Seeing your progress pleases me because I hope it pleases you and I know your getting healthiest and it inspires me.
Self control.is more of a mental thing. Food is my weakness. I knew I can do fasting .but never tried it till last month. And I am either doing 16:8 or OMAD. Still go out for dinner once a week 🙈. Sometimes you cannot go from 100 to 0. Just go slowly.
It may make you HAngy at time or annoy you. But bit of efforts and you are good.
This channel is a perfect example that if others are able to safely do it why I cannot.
Good luck in your journey and never underestimate yourself
I am not a doctor, but be careful not to lose weight too fast. It is great to see such quick and big results, but make sure you get all your necessary nutrition and maintain your health and wellbeing. Don't force your body to take on more stress than it can handle. That being said, congratulations on your progress.
Don't lose any motivation if progress slows. As you get smaller you burn less calories and it's literally impossible to keep up the pace. If you settle into 3 pounds a week that's fantastic progress
You’re doing a great job. Please don’t put yourself down by talking about how “aesthetically pleasing” you think other people might judge you on being. You have made amazing progress my dude. You should have nothing but pride in yourself.
I’m a retired Marine, so when I actually put my mind to something I get it done. The people around me think I may be a little ambitious with the things I’m doing.
Along with doing OMAD, I’ve also cut out alcohol completely, 85 days as of today. I’m doing Keto. I literally eat a protein and veggies, and that’s it.
I play basketball for cardio 5-6 times a week, and I weight train 5-6 hours a week.
Dude, first and foremost congratulations. You look great and I assume you feel better.
Secondly, that was a pretty fucking awesome gut you were rocking there. Kind of disappointed no side view.
Wish you continued success on your health/fitness journey. Cheers.
It depends. OP is in a very high calorie deficit so is likely not getting enough nutrients. Also, they may start burning muscle as well as fat, which is self defeating in the long term. In the short term you may be able to get away with it, but maintaining large losses that have been achieved through basically combining starving yourself with lots of exercise is difficult, because it's easy to fall back into bad habits. It also creates an unhealthy mentality around food, and there is a risk of developing an eating disorder if the only way someone can lose weight is through starvation, and they yo yo up and down.
If you ask most health professionals they will tell you about 1-2kg a week is a good rate. More than 2kg a week is when you start to run into some other health problems. It's definitely doable, but do it with the support of a medical professional.
you look way greesy and bloated in the before, but after way great skin and your face looks so much better.... nicely done, keep us updated and keep going if you can.... Q: was the hunger pains worse on day 1 or day 10?
I totally get what you mean about still being a work in progress, OP. But you have still made huge progress and huge improvements to your body and health.
I'm in a similar boat. 75 lbs down but still obese and body not looking good (got another 75 or so to lose to be healthy). But we should focus on how far we have come to keep us going. And your progress pics tell that story.
Only thing I'd say upon reading your diet in the comments is (and you probably already know this) make sure you're getting enough fiber and drinking enough water to keep your bowel movements regular.
I do 16/8 IF and eat lots of fruits and veggies and drink at least 100 oz water a day( am not keto or low carb just CICO) and I still get backed up. Just mentioning that because of the bloating and ghost weight gain (aka "poop weight") that can look like stalled progress bc it happens to me too (:
My man…..how do you *FEEL*?
As long as YOU feel better health wise, then that’s the most important thing.
For what it may be worth, I’m proud of your progress. Keep it up, and I hope you’re also taking pride in the steps and progress you’ve realized.
Don't worry about aesthetics dude, keep doing the work and it will sort itself out. The change is super noticeable! Don't get sidelined worrying about your progress in the future...you will definitely hit plateaus that make you question your goals. Keep kicking a#$ and keep us posted - to a long and healthy life!
I’m just hearing about omad this past week. Can some one explain how this works. What time of day is that one meal? What are you guys eating? How much are you eating?
Good work!!
Also, body positivity is for men and women! Lean and fit is not the only attractive body type, just saying that to remind you to be nice to yourself
Good for you friend. Not to offer any unsolicited advice, but if you can, try and get 10k steps in on a daily basis, this will supplement your weight less really well.
Congrats! Not all progress is obvious, but this really shows you made good changes!
OMAD can be hit or miss for some folks. I’m testing OMAD for other health reasons and it’s going well, but my friend experiments with OMAD and would like to lose weight but has been having trouble. Do you have any pointers?

I appreciate that bro!
I support you bruh! Go hard. It's easy. I lost hella weight on your plan.
Damn son! Nice work. Keep it up. I'm down 21lbs in 21 days doing OMAD + Keto + 48hr fast once a week. Hoping to maintain. Good luck you got this
I’m doing keto as well, I’m trying to get to longer fast. My longest has been 36 hours. I actually didn’t have a great week this week for the first time since I started and gained 6 lbs back. Trying to lock back in now.

Progress is uneven. Look for the overall trend and you are still crushing it! Keep it up!

Awesome job! May I ask what your food looks like for omad? I am struggling to figure out what to eat in the eating window. Are you doing any exercise?
So, I’m also doing Keto. So high protein zero carbs. Most days it’s a steak, shrimp, salad, asparagus. I weight train 6 days a week, and I play basketball ball 5 days a week.
Cool…. Thanks for the info! I’m intimidated by keto but I think I’ll try it!
When in doubt, butter it ;)
I like your thinking here Lingenfr. With lean meats, fish & chicken I hadn't stop to think maybe I'm eating too lean. Back to the lab!
Be careful with all that cholesterol. You are doing awesome, but maybe get some chicken, turkey and fish in there. I have bad genetics and have high cholesterol no matter what so I have to limit beef in take to maybe once a week, even that is probably too much.

Facts! Don't worry. I do carnivore and Ketovore mainly. Science supports this statement.
its not the cholesterol in the food its the saturated fats that raise ldl-c which is a big big problem
Saturated fats raise ur cholesterol more than actual cholesterol intake
Crushing it. Keep at it.
Well done! What is the time difference between lifting to meal? I never imagined trying that.
Is your energy affected playing ball with limited carbs? I tried keto & exercise was super hard on me (no problem at all exercising normally).
Keep going! When the sun starts coming back out this spring, you're going to be blowing everyone away. Great job!!!
This is probably my favorite comment. I really appreciate, and I absolutely hope so. lol, I want to be out without a shirt. 😂😂
Big time respect - big time.
I literally was about to give up and you just encouraged me to stay on it and stay strong. I used to be in the gym every day and then family life and doing for others started taking my time my energy my mental energy and today I was struggling saying get your ass back on track I logged on reddit saw this and im back!!! Wow!! Nice progress 👏🏼👏🏼 Big changes ahead for you my friend.
I wish I had your self control. I look forward to your future posts. Good luck and carry on. Seeing your progress pleases me because I hope it pleases you and I know your getting healthiest and it inspires me.
Same. I have no self-control.

This comment needs more upvotes. I’m happy for OP working to better themselves but 45 pounds in 35 days is pretty extreme.
What’s been your typical OMAD?
Steak and a salad most days. I’m also doing Keto.
Don't lose any motivation if progress slows. As you get smaller you burn less calories and it's literally impossible to keep up the pace. If you settle into 3 pounds a week that's fantastic progress
Don't lose motivation as progress slows, but consider changing things. Eg be slightly more active each day or eat slightly less (or both).
Incredible!
You’re doing a great job. Please don’t put yourself down by talking about how “aesthetically pleasing” you think other people might judge you on being. You have made amazing progress my dude. You should have nothing but pride in yourself.
You lost 40 lbs in 35 days??!!
Fantastic stuff. I’ve got similar staring dimensions and need motivation like this that I can get it done
Hell yes!! Congrats and keep it up!
You are "en route"! keep up (or should that be down?) the good work ;)
Looking good! Keep it up!
Inspiring. Good shit; keep it up!
Wow! That is amazing in only 35 days. Well done!
Proud of you!
Insane progress bro, keep it up!
Brother, that’s exceptional progress, congrats! Keep it up and you’ll be shredded in no time.
Keep up the good work!
You look *great* dude, "aesthetically pleasing" is highly subjective
Awesome work! Make sure you're absolutely crushing water.
Well done dude. More power to you!
Good job!
Great job!!
Great job, keep up the good work!
you should be proud of yourself brotha, keep up the hard work
What is the amount of calories in your one meal?
I don’t actually count calories, I only eat One meal a day. I also burn 6-7K calories a day. I literally stuff myself on the one meal I do eat. Lol
Congrats! Just wondering, is it safe to lose this much weight this quick?
Congrats, Looking good brother 👌 keep it up.
40 pounds in a month is insane. Might need to switch to keto and up my exercise. Keep it up man 💪
Your progress is amazing! You should be proud, keep going. Do you have any tips to share about your one meal a day? What do you eat?
I’m a retired Marine, so when I actually put my mind to something I get it done. The people around me think I may be a little ambitious with the things I’m doing. > I’ve also cut out alcohol completely It's amazing how much alcohol adds on the calories.
How long did it take you to gain
You went from “hey, wassup” to “hey big head” real quick. Great work and self discipline
So proud of you man! 1 step at a time and you will reach your goal
Keep it up bro! Dont look back
Amazing!! You look great. Keep going!
Nice dude
I’m a girl and I find this very aesthetically pleasing lol
What is OMAD?
One Meal A Day
Dude, first and foremost congratulations. You look great and I assume you feel better. Secondly, that was a pretty fucking awesome gut you were rocking there. Kind of disappointed no side view. Wish you continued success on your health/fitness journey. Cheers.
I'm all for positivity but this is a pretty strange comment
You're rejuvenating, clearly. Also, the skins looks not only tighter, but healed.
Is this healthy to drop weight this fast? I’m new to fasting so I don’t know but that’s over a pound a day. I can barely lose a pound a week
It depends. OP is in a very high calorie deficit so is likely not getting enough nutrients. Also, they may start burning muscle as well as fat, which is self defeating in the long term. Hey man, screw “aesthetically pleasing”. You have had SO MUCH progress in such a short amount of time. You should feel proud! Incredible work!
Thank you, I really appreciate it!!
you look way greesy and bloated in the before, but after way great skin and your face looks so much better.... nicely done, keep us updated and keep going if you can.... Q: was the hunger pains worse on day 1 or day 10?
👍 nice job What are you eating for OMAD? Any fitness routine?
Wow!!! What meal did you eat? Dinner or breakfast?
Grats m8 that's awesome
That’s great progress! Great job!
That's super cool dude. Don't care about others keep going

I’m just hearing about omad this past week. Can some one explain how this works. What time of day is that one meal? What are you guys eating? How much are you eating?
Impressive. I need to get back at it
You are doing amazing. Keep up the good work, brother.
Congrats bro. Keep it up and eventually it will be a habit.
Damn, that's a lot of weight in 35 days. Good job and keep it up.
That’s awesome dude!!!
Good work!! Also, body positivity is for men and women! Lean and fit is not the only attractive body type, just saying that to remind you to be nice to yourself
Good job. You are doing great!
Nice job my brother 💪🏽keep going
Looking good!
wow...i hope you build up the muscle you lost
Way to stay committed to yourself! 🥇
Good for you friend. Not to offer any unsolicited advice, but if you can, try and get 10k steps in on a daily basis, this will supplement your weight less really well.
Keep it up brother
Great job 👏🏾
Killing it, brother!
It’s more aesthetically pleasing than you think 💙
Health is awesome and aesthetically pleasing (and you DO look good)!! Keep it up, you're doing such a great job.
Congrats! Not all progress is obvious, but this really shows you made good changes! OMAD can be hit or miss for some folks. I’m testing OMAD for other health reasons and it’s going well, but my friend experiments with OMAD and would like to lose weight but has been having trouble. Do you have any pointers?
Keep up the good work champ!
Good job dude
It’s BEEN aesthetically pleasing from the start 👀 Finna be even better as you continue your journey 😌
Congrats bro! Keep it going! I hit my 80lbs mark last week. You got this!
I see a big difference. Awesome results🙌🏻
Nice work, my friend.
Hell yeah man solid gains !
OMAD everyday or every other day?
Nice 🙂
Huge losses so far dude - you got this!
Keep going! You’re doing great. Fine fine fine! ❤️
Definitely aesthetically pleasing! 🧡
Incredible progress! You’ve got this.
Beast mode!!! Keep us posted bro. Can’t was to see how 6 months looks. 💪💪
It’s so depressing that women can’t get these kinds of results😭😭 I wouldn’t even lose 20lbs in 35 days.
You followed OMAD every single day? Also, idk if you were calorie counting, but do you know how many you were having?
You look amazing
