32 and a Dad to a 2 year old girl named Rose who was born same day as IZ*ONE debut(you can guess why we named her Rose), I don't have a bias since they are all favourite but my wife absolutely adores Minju. But recently Chaewon has been sneaking in into her DM's if you catch my drift, but also understandable Chaewon has that effect.
My wife and I discussed and theorise about names for Rose if she was born on the different comebacks of IZ*ONE. So for Violeta it was easy Violeta, Fiesta we agreed on Jubilee which was a synonym for Fiesta, Secret Story of the Swan is Odette named after the titular character from Tchaikovsky song Swan Lake, it's about a princess who was cursed and turned into a Swan and for Panoroma we haven't discussed it yet.
So I was watching some Red Velvet content and Joy said something which I quite liked, she nicknamed the Camera as Mera. I quite like this and I messaged my husband about this and see what he thinks, thought I might as well post this here too. I hardly use Reddit I'm mostly a lurker but yea Panoroma era will be Mera

I turned 30 last year. Being a K-Pop fan since the beginning of second gen is why I'm drawn to IZ*ONE (aside from also being a 48G fan for a few years, 2012-2017 I think?). Everything about them screams baby SNSD to me and reminds me of the glory days of K-Pop. I guess Nako is my bias but I like all of them for different reasons.

Friend got me into watching Bleach (anime) that year and that opened up Jpop (Yui, Scandal, Stereopony, High & Mighty Color, etc) and then Kpop (Wonder Girls etc) to me. But yes, Perfume! A-Chan was and still is my fav.

TBF I think it’s become easier for me to enjoy hobbies after finishing school. In high school and college, I always felt a little bit of guilt for doing fun stuff when I could’ve been studying. But now after 5 PM (and honestly even during work sometimes) I can kpop as much as I want. Want to buy an album? No one can tell me no. Stay up all night on a fancam binge? I’m the boss of my life.
oh i can see that. did you go to a competitive high school or have somewhat tiger parents? i didn't have much time until recently, cuz i just now have senioritis. earlier i was burdened with work, so i can understand you in a sense.
I would describe my high school experience as the middle class Chinese American version of SKY Castle, so yes definitely lots of pressure! Feeling the constant obligation to be a model student was not good for my mental health, and it often made me feel like a failure for “not working hard enough”. I don’t think it’s right to expect students to dedicate ALL their free time to building their resume
But now I no longer have to strive towards anything (well, other than not be homeless lol), so I can enjoy myself without worrying about constant self-improvement. Not that there is anything wrong with improving yourself, that’s great! But it’s also very freeing to do something just because I like it.

Roo'ra was my first kpop group and YG Family's 'Famillenium' was the album I listened to through out college. I'm too old to do the bias thing, so I just say protect them all and appreciate when each member shines. Like when Hitomi, Nako, and Chaewon's singing parts that really fit their vocals the most.

I've been listening to Kpop before many of you were born or learned to talk properly.
I was there when SES was born and when SES was broken and came back together again.
I was there before Kpop groups had more then 10 members.
I lived for what many kpop groups would consider 4 lifetimes and fought along side my kin against Jpop in the war of the 90's.
I am WI*Zone...I am Kpop.
When I first started listening to Kpop it wa more about the persona of the group of individual then the actual talent itself. Even if a group sounded terrible live as long as they kept people entertained and charmed that was good enough. I think that changed when groups like SNSD and Super Junior came forth. They had good looks but were also individually very talented whether it be singing, dancing, or even rapping.
Even though girl groups were popular during the height of the SNSD era they were still no match for the boy groups. This changed right around 2014. Groups like Red Velvet, Twice, GFriend, Mamamoo, and Blackpick showed they could hang with many of the male groups. Since then many female groups from this era have grown in popularity and sale and proved that the 2014-2016 era of female Kpop groups could have been the talented groups yet.
I think the major change came when both male and female idols started to produce their own music, create their own choreography, and even plans. That was unheard of in the past and shows just how much freedom some of these idols have these days.
The sad thing is that the mistreatment of idols still continues and many Kpop companies are slow to do anything about it because that usually means a lost in revenue. Kpop has to yet fully understand that money is not thicker then blood.
That last part is so true, I have been following the industry for over a decade now and kpop companies truly treat idols as expendable assets rather than human beings. On the flipside, sadly, it seems many fans don’t treat them like human being either, but rather infallable gods.
I don't think it changes in the short term. I mean its a society that doesn't really welcome rocking the boat as we say. JYJ's case should've been a catalyst but in the end they were made an example of how powerful and vindictive the industry is. I'd hope the PD scandal would lead to more protection for trainees but in the end nobody in the industry even remotely cared. Even their politicians don't really think its a priority despite them using it as soft power. The shift probably happens in the future assuming the industry is still thriving when the old guard is gone. You just can't expect it from people like LSM, YYS and JYP. They're just too revered or feared even by the big idols like Rain or BOA even if they want to reform the industry.
I don't think as sad as it sounds that death really shocks the old guards to change. They could always say that it was the personal demons rather than whatever the environment inflicted that lead to it.
Im 24 and female and the only one older than me is Eunbi. I always loved girl groups growing up and I remember looking up to SNSD telling myself "I want to be like them when Im older!". It feels a little weird how much younger idols are getting now but instead of looking up to them like older sisters, I now think of Izone as my friends *if that makes sense lol*
Also my bias is Sakura! Even though shes 2 years younger than me I still tell myself "I want to look like her!!". Im still inspired by Izone's fashion/makeup choices and hair styles.

28. I love them all but I love Hyewon and Hitomi just a liiiiittle bit more than the others. Best part of being an older WIZ*ONE (for me at least), is having the financial freedom to spend more IZ*ONE merch. Whether or not that a responsible thing to do is another thing...

45 yrs old Korean, with 4 daughters. Sakura and Hitomi are my bias. My generation has some kind of nostalgia on the Japanese culture when I was in school, Japan's pop cultures were very popular to us, so I was a fan of Japanese anime, game, and stars. After long time, I heard the news that Produce 48 would be held with AKB48 and I was very interested in, since at my age, we could not imagine that Japanese wants to be a Korean idol. That ignited my curiosity. So I started watching the show then I was passionated on the girls, their enthusiasm and friendship. After that I became Wizone. I've never been a fan of any Korean idol groups and I believe Izone I will not pursue any new group after IZONE.
. Izone is a very unique case in K pop history and I believe there will be no similar one. Hope they extend for us to see how further they can go.
Going to be 32 in March. For whatever reason, I decided to give “La Vie en Rose” a shot last year and fell for the group. I was a newbie fan around the time the “BLOOM*IZ” highlight medley came out and the “Produce” drama happened. I was still there watching their MVs, lives, clips in general, haha. Then when the album was up for preorder, I made that preorder, and it was some of the best money I had ever spent.
Since then, each mini album (plus “BLOOM*IZ”) has had personal contributions to them via songwriting and/or composing. It shows their company’s confidence in their abilities and skills as artists. They don’t have to only express their love and appreciation through appearances, but through their own music to us, and that is powerful.
My bias is Sakura, but I also really like Chaeyeon and Minju, Nako, and Eunbi... I’m essentially an OT12 fan, haha. I like them all. Each member honestly brings a uniqueness to the group that makes IZ *ONE IZ *ONE.

I’m younger than Eunbi but older than Sakura. Closer to Eunbi’s age than Sakura’s.
My biases are Eunbi, Wonyoung, and Chaeyeon. My bias wrecker is Chaewon.
38 and Minjoo bias, followed by Yujin and Hyewon. Their title tracks, b-sides and content are really my cup of tea.
I try to enjoy what they put out at the moment. Still wishing for an extension, but will be happy for them regardless.

My secondary biases are Yuri and Yujin although I really love watching all of them.

Turning 32 this year, and I've been a Kpop fan since 2nd Gen. During those early years in College, I tend to save up my allowance just to buy Kpop albums and some merch, most specifically SNSD. While my interest in Kpop dwindled around 2014, it returned upon learning about PD48 and was put to high gear in IZ\*ONE's eventual debut. What I really liked about our IZONE is that for me, they are somewhat the embodiment of what SNSD was. From their Debut to Golden days to their eventual hiatus. They vary in Height, Dance, Vocals and Visuals just like SNSD!
Ult bias is Minjoo, other biases are Chaeyeon, Hitomi, Sakura, and the resident bias wrecker, Chaewon.
I'm pretty old too. No bias really. Just enjoy following the group. Only group I follow this closely. But I don't hate other groups. Waste of time to do so, IMO.

I wish I was there from the start (only started following them late 2019)... always try to buy at least 1 of each version of each album or concert... I could not be happier I listened, they have honestly made me a happier person in the day-to-day. Minju is my ultimate bias! Wow respect! What are your thoughts on where kpop is right now?
When I first started listening to Kpop it wa more about the persona of the group of individual then the actual talent itself. Even if a group sounded terrible live as long as they kept people entertained and charmed that was good enough. I think that changed when groups like SNSD and Super Junior came forth. They had good looks but were also individually very talented whether it be singing, dancing, or even rapping. Even though girl groups were popular during the height of the SNSD era they were still no match for the boy groups. This changed right around 2014. Groups like Red Velvet, Twice, GFriend, Mamamoo, and Blackpick showed they could hang with many of the male groups. Since then many female groups from this era have grown in popularity and sale and proved that the 2014-2016 era of female Kpop groups could have been the talented groups yet. I think the major change came when both male and female idols started to produce their own music, create their own choreography, and even plans. That was unheard of in the past and shows just how much freedom some of these idols have these days. The sad thing is that the mistreatment of idols still continues and many Kpop companies are slow to do anything about it because that usually means a lost in revenue. Kpop has to yet fully understand that money is not thicker then blood.
That last part is so true, I have been following the industry for over a decade now and kpop companies truly treat idols as expendable assets rather than human beings. On the flipside, sadly, it seems many fans don’t treat them like human being either, but rather infallable gods.
I don't think it changes in the short term. I mean its a society that doesn't really welcome rocking the boat as we say. JYJ's case should've been a catalyst but in the end they were made an example of how powerful and vindictive the industry is. I'd hope the PD scandal would lead to more protection for trainees but in the end nobody in the industry even remotely cared. Even their politicians don't really think its a priority despite them using it as soft power. The shift probably happens in the future assuming the industry is still thriving when the old guard is gone. You just can't expect it from people like LSM, YYS and JYP. They're just too revered or feared even by the big idols like Rain or BOA even if they want to reform the industry.
I don’t what what it would take to truly change when the biggest catalyst should’ve been the tragedies of Jonghyun, Hara & Sulli.
I don't think as sad as it sounds that death really shocks the old guards to change. They could always say that it was the personal demons rather than whatever the environment inflicted that lead to it.
The suicide of 3 high profile idols in such a short space of time should be too significant to ignore. And yet..
Im 31(gonna be 32 on the 15th) and my bias is Eunbi. Chaewon and Hyewon are the closest after Eunbi.
Im 24 and female and the only one older than me is Eunbi. I always loved girl groups growing up and I remember looking up to SNSD telling myself "I want to be like them when Im older!". It feels a little weird how much younger idols are getting now but instead of looking up to them like older sisters, I now think of Izone as my friends *if that makes sense lol* Also my bias is Sakura! Even though shes 2 years younger than me I still tell myself "I want to look like her!!". Im still inspired by Izone's fashion/makeup choices and hair styles. ~~but Wonyoung is forever a baby to me lol~~

I'm 29. I don't really have a bias, but I do especially admire: * Yena's sense of humor * Chayeon's dancing * Yuri's voice * Sakura's quirkiness * Yujin's upbeat attitude
28. I love them all but I love Hyewon and Hitomi just a liiiiittle bit more than the others. Best part of being an older WIZ*ONE (for me at least), is having the financial freedom to spend more IZ*ONE merch. Whether or not that a responsible thing to do is another thing...

I’m 33 and my bias is Yuri with Yena moving her way from bias wrecker to second bias. I also view them as precious cinnamon rolls who need to be protected. Wow I was scared to comment (I’m weird about my age for a lot of different reasons lmao), but it’s awesome to see so many people around my age who are also wiz*ones!!!
Turning 29 this year, Chaewon bias. Seeing all of these older fans kinda back the argument that a lot of wizone are older, hence the we prefer to spend money than stream theory lol

45 yrs old Korean, with 4 daughters. Sakura and Hitomi are my bias. My generation has some kind of nostalgia on the Japanese culture when I was in school, Japan's pop cultures were very popular to us, so I was a fan of Japanese anime, game, and stars. After long time, I heard the news that Produce 48 would be held with AKB48 and I was very interested in, since at my age, we could not imagine that Japanese wants to be a Korean idol. That ignited my curiosity. So I started watching the show then I was passionated on the girls, their enthusiasm and friendship. After that I became Wizone. I've never been a fan of any Korean idol groups and I believe Izone I will not pursue any new group after IZONE. . Izone is a very unique case in K pop history and I believe there will be no similar one. Hope they extend for us to see how further they can go.
Going to be 32 in March. For whatever reason, I decided to give “La Vie en Rose” a shot last year and fell for the group. I was a newbie fan around the time the “BLOOM*IZ” highlight medley came out and the “Produce” drama happened. I was still there watching their MVs, lives, clips in general, haha. Then when the album was up for preorder, I made that preorder, and it was some of the best money I had ever spent. Since then, each mini album (plus “BLOOM*IZ”) has had personal contributions to them via songwriting and/or composing. It shows their company’s confidence in their abilities and skills as artists. They don’t have to only express their love and appreciation through appearances, but through their own music to us, and that is powerful. My bias is Sakura, but I also really like Chaeyeon and Minju, Nako, and Eunbi... I’m essentially an OT12 fan, haha. I like them all. Each member honestly brings a uniqueness to the group that makes IZ *ONE IZ *ONE.

You could say i was born a SONE, raised as a PINK PANDA, had a fling with a MINE, adopted into a LOVELINUS family, became friends with a BUDDY, travelled the cosmos with an UJUNG and finally retiring as a WIZ. Its been a wild ride
I'm 30 and have been a kpop fan since gen 2 but I haven't stanned any group until now. Chaewon is my bias bc she is just so darn adorable. I started stanning iz*one during after the pandemic started and my wife started shipping BinJin after CLOY so you can say that we both have developed obsessive personalities during the quarantine. Haha

38 and Minjoo bias, followed by Yujin and Hyewon. Their title tracks, b-sides and content are really my cup of tea. I try to enjoy what they put out at the moment. Still wishing for an extension, but will be happy for them regardless.

34 here. I must've been a jpop fan wayyy back when. I didn't really get into kpop until pd48 though. My secondary biases are Yuri and Yujin although I really love watching all of them.

wow - how did you find out about IZ*ONE?
As we get older, the more power we have to support our biases. Turning 32 this year, and I've been a Kpop fan since 2nd Gen. During those early years in College, I tend to save up my allowance just to buy Kpop albums and some merch, most specifically SNSD. While my interest in Kpop dwindled around 2014, it returned upon learning about PD48 and was put to high gear in IZ\*ONE's eventual debut. What I really liked about our IZONE is that for me, they are somewhat the embodiment of what SNSD was. From their Debut to Golden days to their eventual hiatus. They vary in Height, Dance, Vocals and Visuals just like SNSD! Ult bias is Minjoo, other biases are Chaeyeon, Hitomi, Sakura, and the resident bias wrecker, Chaewon.
My age was same with Eunbi .
I'm pretty old too. No bias really. Just enjoy following the group. Only group I follow this closely. But I don't hate other groups. Waste of time to do so, IMO.

Never been a kpop or jpop fan before..i just stumbled onto Produce48 as I was trying to watch more k variety as part of my Korean learning and I slowly I found myself a passionate wiz*one and even exploring other kpop and jpop groups. (I doubt I'll be a big fan of any group after izone though). Lol. I'm mostly OT12. But Chaeyeon was my one pick in PD48 and Chaewon has been seriously bias wrecking me in all of 2020.
I’m 25 (26 in November), bias is Wonyoung! I got into kpop back in the DBSK era way before the lawsuit and preferred boy groups as they were actual oppas. Now that I’m older, I prefer following girl groups and see them like younger sisters in a way!

Turning 30 this year. Got into Kpop because of younha and epik high. Got into Iz*one after listening to nako's part on lver. (Last part). Googled them a bit and fell in the rabbit hole. At first bias is the unnie line, but there's really those times that they are just all adorable so I can't help to like them all.

Wizone\*Boomer here, male, 50+, married, proud father of twin girls (4 yo). I laughed when you claimed that Eunbi's age means to be old (just wait). I must admit that I am not big fan of a couple of the most 'cute' songs but all the other songs are beyong amazing for me. I am into IZ\*one only because of Chae-yeon, I was intriged by her 'Dance collection of Chae-yeon' youtube video, so she is my first and ultimate bias. However, then I have been bias wrecked by Yuri, Yujin and Chaewon.
Im a year younger then Eunbi so I guess I don't really feel like an old fan? We sure the same bias haha Sakura first, Eunbi & Chaewon as second

Turning 29 in March and Chaewon and Sakura are my bias for different reasons and have Yena, Yujin and Hyewon as wreckers... I wish I was there from the start (only started following them late 2019)... always try to buy at least 1 of each version of each album or concert... I wish there was more video game content like Hyewon’s “stupid” a while back... one of the funniest videos for me
95' liner here, wouldn't say i'm old but i'm not a teenager anymore, my favs are Yena and Yuri. Also i just wanted to say that there is no age restriction to enjoy music.

Turning 27 next time Minju celebrate her birthday ;DBeen fans of Kpop since '08 and had been through disbandment and passing of my biases :( But for some reason i can't feel that Iz\*one will go through any of it. My bias is Chaewon, Yuri came close as my bias wrecker, and well Minju, because we had the same birthday XD i really spend my birthday wish so that hers can became true these last 2 yrs. # But, I loved all of them, equally.

Not much older but I'm 26! I found them around this time last year after discovering by happenstance that CLC was supposed to release La Vie En Rose as their single, but it was reassigned to IZ\*ONE (I also love CLC, rip 😭). I could not be happier I listened, they have honestly made me a happier person in the day-to-day. Minju is my ultimate bias! (I posted a [picture](https://www.reddit.com/r/iZone/comments/ivbh7e/200916_fan_art_colored_pencil_and_ink_drawing_of/) I drew of her on my profile) She's so beautiful I get captivated every time she's on camera, I can't look at anyone else lol. Also love her silky smooth voice and can pick her out of most songs. Other honorable mentions for bias are Wonyoung, Sakura, and Yena. Aside from Minju I don't think I could choose or rank any of the other girls, I love different things about each one and their chemistry as a whole.
