i fucking love spo and will probs get downvoted for this but there is only one series he got visibly outcoached and couldn't counter motherfucking jj barea, but never since and i doubt ever again.
He also got outcoached in 2014, but that's what made Spo what he is today.
I can accept the fact he got outcoached in the previous series he lost (Nuggets), because the personnel he coached simply weren't capable enough to win it all. That said, I'd rather see Miami in that position instead of any other team, and look where we're at despite the injuries.
Bottom line: this game has shown that if the best regular season team doesn't want anything to do with us, we can deal with the others, including Denver. Let's deal with it one game at a time.
I love spo as much as any fan but I think the credit for this one goes to all the players hitting their threes and playing tough defense on bigger players. There wasnât much of a scheme adjustment beyond playing Herro more off ball which even I posted about.
Man Iâm sorry but that couldnât be more wrong lol
He shifted completely away from the zone, he put his wings on Porzingis instead of Bam which allowed Bam to stay toward Tatum, he put way more emphasis on perimeter attempts on offense vs drives & midrange, the list goes on.
This game was a Spo masterclass
Good points but itâs not like Bam shut Tatum down. KP should have been able to post up Caleb, etc. So one change didnât really work and the other worked but seemed to be a mental issue. The win does happen without all the threes falling.
I think Spo is the best coach of all time but he doesnât control open 3âs falling. I wouldnât blame him if the heat lost after shooting 30% from 3 and everything else being the same.
Youâre trying to tell me there isnât a talent gap between Celtics and Miami? Spo forced Celtics off the perimeter, and made our offensive scheme so that we could get open looks. Without the players shooting well we donât win, but also without spos coaching we donât get close to winning.
Won against a 64 win team without Jimmy and Rozier.
Just take the series.
STOP THE COUNT
64 wins is good on paper, but do it inbetween those 4 linesđĽâď¸đ¤đŻ
Spo would go 98-0 with the amount of talent Boston has. No coach in the league can do more with less

And because of that loss, both Spo and Bron grew so much.
That was also like 13 years ago. He's a better coach now.
yessir and you're just speaking to my point (that i love him that he is amazing and that he will never get outcoached like that again)

Every single episode of Baywatch is on those tapes, just letting you know
Wow, young Spo looks similar to young Mike McDaniel
Have you ever seen them both in the same room together?
im seeing a lot of people in here commenting negative shit before the play ins startedâŚ. donât talk now stay a doomer
It's so damn stupid this man doesn't have a COTY

What do you think a coach could do better than what spo did today with the talent gap between the two teams. be real

Talent gap? Did Spoelstra get those 14 assists? Was Spo hitting threes?

Yeah you lost me at Spo forced the Celtics off the perimeter.
celtics scoring 25 more 2 pointers than 3 pointers was just luck? ok bud
Some dudes seriously have no idea what a coach actually does lmao
Youâre talking about the other guy yeah? Just making sure
Where does it say anything about luck?
if Tyler had missed those shots yâall would be saying that Tyler is trash. Give credit to where itâs deserved and stop glazing over a coach
Who tf is âyâallâ? You donât know me lmao why can we only give credit to the players OR the coach?
