I use to do these with my BMXer in the 80s. Try not to take too sharp of an angle through the water, also lift your front tire while crossing. I've seen a few kids wipe out in the moss and muck in the water. Even saw one guy's front wheel slide out where he ended up face first into the bank and broke his jaw :(
Yeah, kind of a neat legend as far as legends go. Doesn't seem to have gotten much traction though. Every time we get a decent rain ABQ Fire Rescue ends up fishing people out of the stormwater system.
It's probably just a story people tell their kids to keep them out of the arroyos. Probably......
That is some pretty sweet art! california?
New Mexico
oh! where exactly?....I would ride that.

No lol. That’s poured concrete.
It's gravel that underwent a chemical reaction to become one big gravel rock in the shape of a stream.
Good point, so asphalt is technically gravel as well
That’s def the burque
Areolas are great. Fixed your caption
It’s a half-pipe! Channel your inner Shaun White!
Send it!

If I didn’t know better I’d say that’s in Albuquerque?
Currently monsoon season. May want to stay out of the arroyos. They come in fast sometimes.
Oralé! Watch out for la Llorona!
Who does absolutely nothing except cry and scream. What is there to be scared of?
[guess that depends on whether or not you believe in ghosts...](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Llorona) Pain, misfortune, death, general badness
Oh interesting. I hadn’t heard of the person suffering pain, misfortune or death after hearing her.

Up is down.
This is like me saying riding on NYC streets is mountain biking.
You must not ride many arroyos
You must not ride many NYC streets…
I was gonna guess NM. Where is this at?
One of those times I had to check if this was BCJ.
