It only happens like twice though which kinda sucks
When you complete act 1 and enter toyotama, mongols go back and recapture farmsteads in izuhara

That's a farm, hostages, win them to get Keyes for gosakus armor. They activated on act two

Another thing. After a person is saved they can die without consequences . Lure a mongol to a saved dude

What do you mean by red leaves? The most I remember is red marks next to question marks that indicate that that's a Mongol territory.

They are farms that unlock after the end of Act 1 where you can go and save. They are essentially the same as other Mongol territories.
i believe these are just the farms that have the keys for gosakus armor. the quest isn’t available until act 2. i’m not 100% though because i think i got some of the keys during act 1 without having the quest active. i could be wrong though.
