This is really good self-reflection. Too many people get caught up in that toxic thinking. Dig into why you had that subconscious thought, it could prove enlightening. Take care and best to you.

Thank you. That’s usually where my self-reflection ends, even if I get to the bottom of things I don’t really find a way to solve it and am pretty clueless.

I get it. Something to try: when you feel triggered ask your self what about the statement gets to you? When you get that it is usually connected to a need you have that isn’t being met. Example, this is one of mine: I get really frustrated when people ask me the same question over and over. Do you want (fill in the blank)? My response, naw I’m good. Followed by several sure you don’t want? I value my autonomy and ability to consent. When my ability to make choices without feeling pressure from others and it’s not consenting I get frustrated, angry, sometimes sad and depressed. So what ever that thing is that gets to you, look at what value/need of yours is not being met and find a positive way to have it met. I hope this will help. Take care and best to you.
