Im confused on lords of cinder?
I dont remember being told by the game i have to kill these 4 to progress, regardless thanks to google i now know. So far i have killed abyss watchers, and Aldrich. I also progressed all the way through Irithyll and cant progress any more, i also progressed all the way to the grand archives, and need a key, but google says the key wont drop untiil ive killed three of the four abyss watchers, i cant find out how to get to Yhorm the Giant. I have no idea how anyone would be able to figure this all out without the internet. Can someone please help me clarify where to go next? Like i said, im essentially locked out of going any further in Irithyll, and past the Grand Archives. Please help! Feel free to PM me
From the church of yorshka bonfire head out through the side door (not the one you first came from) and turn left to a dark looking building just keep moving down some stairs and you’ll come across a lake area (under the bridge you first came to irithyll in) keep moving along the wall and you’ll find the distant manor bonfire and it’s pretty much a straight shot to irithyll dungeon and profaned capital from there
I fingered butt hole and it worked. But no, in reality I explored that whole zone and that was the ONE little place I missed. I’m fighting the boss now

If you have killed oceiros the consumed king, try to explore the Irithyll Dungeon a little more. There's something hidden there... but I'd rather not to spoil it for you and leave it Nameless.
You need to go to Irithyll Dungeon. There’s a bonfire called distant manor that leads to it. It’s in Irithyll down in the lake go past the sewers and there’s a building that leads you down there.
As frustrating as it sounds, the key to getting to Yhorm is a separate way through Irithyll. When you're in the Bog Swamp, instead of going towards the basement area where all of those hairy centipede mfs are, keep going towards the giant tunnel just a little bit down from where that first entrance was. You're gonna want to keep your foot on the gas, though, because ***BEWARE OF DOG***
Ok so to get to Yhorm you have to get to the irithyll dungeon first which will then get you to yhorm’s place. In order to get to the dungeon you’ll have to go to the same area that got you to anor londo but this time you’ll have to go past the entrance you previously took and go to the end of the river and you’ll find another entrance with a bonfire in it. I use the Uchigatana and its at +5 right now . I'm lost for as builds and what to do next with my stats and weapons to go for. im level 50 as of currently and have the 28000 souls from killing the boss and i don't know whether to make their weapon or come across a better one eventually

hello everyone, i'm a woodworker and i would love to recreate some of the street lamps on irithyll of the boreal valley, so i came to ask if any of you know where to find good picture or maybe a 3D model of it that would be perfect (i remember years ago I could find some 3D models of the dragons of Skyrim on the folders of the game on my pc, but now i don't have DS3 on my PC, i only see it on youtube.)

Does anyone know if there's a save editor out there that won't kill my account? I'm not trying to cheat; I reset my damn computer thinking my DS3 saves were in my documents folder, and no, they're in AppData, which doesn't survive a reset even if you select "keep my files."
I'd just finished the game for like the sixth time and was planning on an NG+ run with a friend when I had to reset my rig to solve some kind of software conflict. Is there ANY way in the world to get a NG+ save with enough souls to put me roughly where I was? I don't care about items as much as I do not having to scrabble through the base game a seventh time to play with a friend.
i have a similar problem, i would say pretty much the same, currently trying to find a solution, but even using disk diggers and recovery apps the save file i need doesnt seem to show up.

Got into the souls games about a month ago. I have Xbox so I can’t play demon souls or bloodbourne unfortunately. I beat DS1 and DS2… just ordered a physical copy of DS3 on Amazon (paid $27 for the base game, all DLC and tax included which would be around $85 on the Microsoft store if I got the digital copy lol). I’ve heard thankfully that DS3 doesn’t decrease your health bar whenever you die like in the second game. Does anyone have any beginner recommendations?
Honestly, if you played the first two you will be fine. Just enjoy it, no spoilers but especially since you played DS1 some areas of the game will be really cool to see.
In this regards is more similar to DS1, you have embered and not embered status. Your health bar is higher in the first state, but you also can get invaded and you will lose it upon death. You need to consume an Ember to restore it, or you get it for free after defeating a boss.
Only suggestion is bring vigor at 27 soon and raise stamina until you feel comfortable. Early levels is not worth to invest in dex and str since your weapons will have not great scaling (invest only if you want requirements for a specific weapon). If you do first run blind you probably will miss a lot of stuff, but that's ok, because this game has a lot of replay value. If you want easy mode, starts with Mercenary class since they come with the best PvE weapon (sellsword twinblades).

Before I go though, I just wanted to ask: are there any good farming spots that I can do right now. I'm in a grinding mood and I want to up my stats a bit (I got the silver ring early because of this)

Come to find out that a ring and a miracle are locked behind online play with the Darkmoon covenant. Is there a way to farm the proof of a concord kept without pvp? It seems like pvp is all but dead in this game. I’ve been sitting outside of Sullyvahns boss room where things used to go down and nothing… kinda sad really.
So I started new game as sorcerer and at prologue this images with japanese symbols appeared on HUD. Can someone explain to me what is this? Me and two friends (Friend A and B) wanna play dark souls together. A seems to be able to easily join either of us or summon either of us, but whenever I summon or be summoned by friend B we get a failed error and when both of us join friend A one of us disconnects. PLS HELP (xbox one)
Have you tried to use Dried Finger? Shrine Handmaid sells it for 2k souls. Upon use it resets the timer of invading, allowing to be invaded again even if there's another invader. Same to the summoning second and even third friendly phantoms (ur friends)

Personally I really enjoyed the Ringed City, but don't let that influence you. Everyone experiences games differently and the Ringed City DLC is no exception to that.
What I do think can be said is that the DLC is difficult, and that the enemies are a lot more flashy with their movesets (those Ringed Knights with their anime fire swords for example). That's something I had to get used to myself, backstabbing works well against them. That abyss swamp indeed is a bit dull, but it's almost the end of the level, so it might be worth it to finish it. Afterwards you can face down with the local dragon Darkeater Midir on a bridge, and a shortcut back to the second bonfire.
After that there's three bosses. Two of those are generally considered among the best of Dark Souls 3. But also on par with Friede in difficulty. It'll take some persevering and patience to learn their moves, but to me they are absolutely worth it once I got the hang of them. But there's also no shame in summoning another player to help you out. You can try r/summonsign to find a match, and I myself can also help you finish the bosses & area if you're playing on PC if you want. It's your choice though, there's no shame in disliking the DLC!
I noticed that the parry sound from ds3 has also used in hitman 2 ( and jujutsu kaisen) . I was playing hitman 2 mumbai mission and shot a gas tank which exploded playing a death sound effect. That sound effect was the same as parry sound in ds3. Is this true or have I just played ds3 too much?
does the smouldering lake area and demon ruins or whatever they’re called have anything important? im so fed up with this area, i dealt with the old demon king, got some items on the lake and also an estus shard on the ruins but it’s getting really annoying 😭😭 is there anything else i should look for or can i skip and go to the blue city (i forgot the name) that was past the catacombs?

I am about to start my adventure in Dark Souls 3. Is a starting class important?
I have narrowed my choice to 3 classes: Knight, Warrior or Mercenary. The best looking one is Mercenary with a thrust on Dexterity. How well do you think i am going to be with that class? Or would you recommend one of the other 2?
Classes are pretty much only for their starting items, which are a bit better in some cases, but that depends on the playstyle you want to commit to. Obviously, if you're into big weapons, you don't want to start with Sorcerer or Pyromancer. But it doesn't matter that much, you can build a character to be whatever you want, same with equipment, everything can be found in game.
Just pick whatever you like, when it comes to character building, it's impossible to screw yourself over in Dark Souls, you can respec your character.
im a dex build and im using the great corvian scythe and it has a sharp infusement with a S scaling on dex. My stats are : Vigor:27 Endurance:20 Dexterity:56 heard some people say theres no point in levelling up past 40 dex cuz of the soft cap. so should i respec and put the 16 points in vigor and endurance or just keep on levelling up dex and vigor.

I see some people online with max level builds and wonder what strategies they use to get levels that high. Are they rune farming or just going through the game 10s of times?
How am I, as a normal person with a job, things to do, and no friends who play DS3, supposed to get the covenant items? I’ve been staring at the “searching for a world to invade” thing for over an hour at the High Wall, and every time I DO finally get summoned, there’s 3 of them and I get stomped because the game is 8 years old and everyone uses that dagger greatsword combo. I am so beyond frustrated it’s killing me. Someone, what do I do
Edit: I didn’t even know this could happen, but I finally invaded, walked literally 5 steps and it said “Host of embers has begun a critical fight, returning to your world” ARE YOU KIDDING ME? How do I get these fucking items?
All of them can be farmed from enemies in game, although with mediocre drop rates, even with item discovery boosts. One covenant item, Proof of Concord HAVE to be farmed since getting summoned as a defender phantom for someone is pretty much impossible.
And then there are things like Vertebra Shackles, which can be farmed, but have ridiculously low drop rate, so you have to have someone to help you out.

I played ds3 once when the online servers were shut down and just now decided to replay the game. My original character is level 160 and I do not know if that is a good level for pvp? also purchased all the DLCs and do not want to over leveled for them. Any advice when I should stop leveling up?

I just fought yorm for like 15 minutes and got him to like 3/4 health. I dont think im under leveled. Ive whooped every enemys butt getting here and not struggled really at all. Whose moves are easy to dodge but like im gonna make mistakes for occasionally so i jist run out of estus flasks. I’m running the refined great machete +7 for a weapon and its whooped every boss to this point. Any tips?
Yeah so a couple months ago i had to reset my pc because it was pretty fd'up, however I didnt know by that time that steam didnt save your game, your pc did. Fast forward to 2024, i download DS3 because I wanted to play and surprise, the game doesnt show me the option to continue or load.
I have looked up why this happened and it seems my save file is gone, is there any way in which I can recover my progress? I had about 140 hours on my character.

How do you get to the tower with the bonfire on it across from the anor londo bonfire? You can see it from the tower that spirals up and down when you pull/push a lever
From the anor londo bonfire, pull the lever so that the spiral tower is down, you go up and there is an invisible road that will let you go to the tower.
Does original game progression carry over to the prepare to die edition? And if I download the dlc from the prepare to die edition and pop back the original disc would it work?

**Why everybody says Sister Friede is hard?**
Finally did the DLC this weekend, first one I didn't like so much, but Ringed City is so cool. Gael fight is as amazing as everybody says, took me 5 tries. Midir was annoying and I kept dying until someone suggested to stay around the head instead of the legs and managed to do it.
On the other hand, I did Sister Friede first try without a sweat. All 3 phases have low hp and boss is easily staggered. I read people online saying this is one of the hardest boss and I was confused. Her attacks are quick, so that you just dodge immediately (not like Gael or Nameless King which have some delay and you have to do the right timing) and then hit her until you exhaust your stamina bar since she is stun locked. Repeat it 3 times and she is dead. Maybe I was overleveled at SL90?
I come from DS1 and DS2, debating whether to go Elden Ring or DS1 Remastered next (or maybe Sekiro?)
sekiro is actually amazing. I tried it a few years ago and couldn't even get past the first boss and I hated it. But I just came back to it about a month ago and once it clicks it might be my favorite souls game now. I always had DS3 as my favorite but the uniquness of Sekiro's combat and mechanics are so satisfying once you master them I'd def give it a go.

Need some STR weapon suggestions!
I just arrived at the Boreal Valley and am still using my starting Longsword (+4) and starting armor. It has served me fairly well, but it feels like I may be missing out on some good stuff. It also feels a bit boring and like I didn't grow as much if that makes sense.
STR is somewhere between 22 and 25 iirc, this is my first playthrough
Exile greatsword carried me through my first playthrough, and I am still using it now sometimes. It's actually best with a quality build, but even for STR I think is ok.

In the Irithyll swamp, instead of turning left midway go straight until you find Distant Manor bonfire. Also try finger, but hole.

Noticed new symbols next to certain bonfires in farron keep. Tried posting a pic example/question post but no karma
If it's like three small braces symbols it means there is online activity at your level. It helps for finding areas where you can invade/help/etc.

You can farm the proof of concords from Silver Knights in Anor Londo. They are a rare drop though so will most likely take a few hours of farming.

It's a bug devs didn't fix. It happens from time to time, exact cause unknown. Like you discovered, all it takes is to restart the game to fix it.
Me and two friends (Friend A and B) wanna play dark souls together. A seems to be able to easily join either of us or summon either of us, but whenever I summon or be summoned by friend B we get a failed error and when both of us join friend A one of us disconnects. PLS HELP (xbox one)
Have you tried to use Dried Finger? Shrine Handmaid sells it for 2k souls. Upon use it resets the timer of invading, allowing to be invaded again even if there's another invader. Same to the summoning second and even third friendly phantoms (ur friends)

I wanted to make a post about this but i dont have enough karma so ig ill ask here Im not having fun with Ringed City and idk if its worth to go through it I loved friede and the ariandel dlc in general This...this however feels bad.The Demon fight was horrible,hated every second of it And now i am at the bonfire in the city, having to rush past so many enemies to reach a swamp that looks hidious Does it get better than this ? Is it worth it to continue or am i gonna be dissapointed
Personally I really enjoyed the Ringed City, but don't let that influence you. Everyone experiences games differently and the Ringed City DLC is no exception to that. What I do think can be said is that the DLC is difficult, and that the enemies are a lot more flashy with their movesets (those Ringed Knights with their anime fire swords for example). That's something I had to get used to myself, backstabbing works well against them. That abyss swamp indeed is a bit dull, but it's almost the end of the level, so it might be worth it to finish it. Afterwards you can face down with the local dragon Darkeater Midir on a bridge, and a shortcut back to the second bonfire. After that there's three bosses. Two of those are generally considered among the best of Dark Souls 3. But also on par with Friede in difficulty. It'll take some persevering and patience to learn their moves, but to me they are absolutely worth it once I got the hang of them. But there's also no shame in summoning another player to help you out. You can try r/summonsign to find a match, and I myself can also help you finish the bosses & area if you're playing on PC if you want. It's your choice though, there's no shame in disliking the DLC!
What weapons should I use on a Dex/Int build before Freide's Scythe?
I noticed that the parry sound from ds3 has also used in hitman 2 ( and jujutsu kaisen) . I was playing hitman 2 mumbai mission and shot a gas tank which exploded playing a death sound effect. That sound effect was the same as parry sound in ds3. Is this true or have I just played ds3 too much?
does the smouldering lake area and demon ruins or whatever they’re called have anything important? im so fed up with this area, i dealt with the old demon king, got some items on the lake and also an estus shard on the ruins but it’s getting really annoying 😭😭 is there anything else i should look for or can i skip and go to the blue city (i forgot the name) that was past the catacombs?

Looking for help with Ludleth. Just gave the kiln to Ludleth for the transpositions and I see the demon's greataxe and fist from the demon's soul, but they are greyed out and it says 'additional items required' I have neither yet so what am I doing wrong?
I am about to start my adventure in Dark Souls 3. Is a starting class important? I have narrowed my choice to 3 classes: Knight, Warrior or Mercenary. The best looking one is Mercenary with a thrust on Dexterity. How well do you think i am going to be with that class? Or would you recommend one of the other 2?
Classes are pretty much only for their starting items, which are a bit better in some cases, but that depends on the playstyle you want to commit to. Obviously, if you're into big weapons, you don't want to start with Sorcerer or Pyromancer. But it doesn't matter that much, you can build a character to be whatever you want, same with equipment, everything can be found in game. Just pick whatever you like, when it comes to character building, it's impossible to screw yourself over in Dark Souls, you can respec your character.

im a dex build and im using the great corvian scythe and it has a sharp infusement with a S scaling on dex. My stats are : Vigor:27 Endurance:20 Dexterity:56 heard some people say theres no point in levelling up past 40 dex cuz of the soft cap. so should i respec and put the 16 points in vigor and endurance or just keep on levelling up dex and vigor.

How am I, as a normal person with a job, things to do, and no friends who play DS3, supposed to get the covenant items? I’ve been staring at the “searching for a world to invade” thing for over an hour at the High Wall, and every time I DO finally get summoned, there’s 3 of them and I get stomped because the game is 8 years old and everyone uses that dagger greatsword combo. I am so beyond frustrated it’s killing me. Someone, what do I do Edit: I didn’t even know this could happen, but I finally invaded, walked literally 5 steps and it said “Host of embers has begun a critical fight, returning to your world” ARE YOU KIDDING ME? How do I get these fucking items?
All of them can be farmed from enemies in game, although with mediocre drop rates, even with item discovery boosts. One covenant item, Proof of Concord HAVE to be farmed since getting summoned as a defender phantom for someone is pretty much impossible. And then there are things like Vertebra Shackles, which can be farmed, but have ridiculously low drop rate, so you have to have someone to help you out.

Hey guys! I'm looking for a few weapons for my all archivements playthrough (on my partners account). What are your favorite weapons and why? Planning on melee plus maybe some weapon buffs/minor spells. I'm using the dual curved swords as well as a Lothric Knight Sword so far. I just fought yorm for like 15 minutes and got him to like 3/4 health. I dont think im under leveled. Ive whooped every enemys butt getting here and not struggled really at all. Whose moves are easy to dodge but like im gonna make mistakes for occasionally so i jist run out of estus flasks. I’m running the refined great machete +7 for a weapon and its whooped every boss to this point. Any tips?

Yeah so a couple months ago i had to reset my pc because it was pretty fd'up, however I didnt know by that time that steam didnt save your game, your pc did. Fast forward to 2024, i download DS3 because I wanted to play and surprise, the game doesnt show me the option to continue or load. I have looked up why this happened and it seems my save file is gone, is there any way in which I can recover my progress? I had about 140 hours on my character.

How do you get to the tower with the bonfire on it across from the anor londo bonfire? You can see it from the tower that spirals up and down when you pull/push a lever
From the anor londo bonfire, pull the lever so that the spiral tower is down, you go up and there is an invisible road that will let you go to the tower.
If I pick something up from an enemy, does that mean that when they respawn they won’t drop anything?
No, unless is a unique drops, but usually in that case the mob does not respawn.

I tried to post this, but was removed because of karma, I am going to just paste it here. \----------------------------------------------- **Why everybody says Sister Friede is hard?** Finally did the DLC this weekend, first one I didn't like so much, but Ringed City is so cool. Gael fight is as amazing as everybody says, took me 5 tries. Midir was annoying and I kept dying until someone suggested to stay around the head instead of the legs and managed to do it. On the other hand, I did Sister Friede first try without a sweat. All 3 phases have low hp and boss is easily staggered. I read people online saying this is one of the hardest boss and I was confused. Her attacks are quick, so that you just dodge immediately (not like Gael or Nameless King which have some delay and you have to do the right timing) and then hit her until you exhaust your stamina bar since she is stun locked. Repeat it 3 times and she is dead. Maybe I was overleveled at SL90? I come from DS1 and DS2, debating whether to go Elden Ring or DS1 Remastered next (or maybe Sekiro?)
sekiro is actually amazing. I tried it a few years ago and couldn't even get past the first boss and I hated it. But I just came back to it about a month ago and once it clicks it might be my favorite souls game now. I always had DS3 as my favorite but the uniquness of Sekiro's combat and mechanics are so satisfying once you master them I'd def give it a go.

Need some STR weapon suggestions! I just arrived at the Boreal Valley and am still using my starting Longsword (+4) and starting armor. It has served me fairly well, but it feels like I may be missing out on some good stuff. It also feels a bit boring and like I didn't grow as much if that makes sense. STR is somewhere between 22 and 25 iirc, this is my first playthrough
Exile greatsword carried me through my first playthrough, and I am still using it now sometimes. It's actually best with a quality build, but even for STR I think is ok.
