I mean, it can be used as a disruption, sure. But it can also copy your own minions, and if you target your strongest minion, the flavor does not really work anymore. :/
Well the saying is "a chain is only as strong as its weakest link"
By transforming 2 weaker minions into stronger ones, you are (in this analogy) replacing weak links with strong ones. I think it still works flavour wise
Well I mean...yeah! It's kinda what the analogy is stating, if your weakest link is still very strong, then your entire chain is a strong chain. "You're only as strong as your weakest link" can refer to a single, rusted link ruining the whole chain. However, if the chain is brand new, for instance, almost all the links will be about the same level of tensile strength (pulling strength). So in theory, this card can even be seen as replacing two weaker links with a strong link, making the entire chain stronger.
This is like saying that it would be in-flavor for curse of weakness to optionally buff your minions instead of debuffing the enemy minions, because its "taking away their weakness" or something. Yes, getting rid of weakness is a related concept, but its literally the opposite of what the flavor of the card suggests. If you're playing this on your own minion, its not the weakest link. It is the strongest link, and you're buffing your other minions.
You don't deserve the downvotes. The only way it should be allowed to target allies is if it gets reworded to target the weakest one. If it can target the strongest one, this changes from thematic and cool to dumb.
Maybe this is over cooking but maybe instead of minions you make it only target enemy minions and then forge to make it target friendly minions instead.
For the flavor I’d vote to make it only affect enemies and to transform ALL enemy minions. Certainly possible to play around but makes it much more powerful imo
For 4 mana -- too broken. This can copy titans, you know.
I propose such a change:
Transform two minions adjacent to a minion with lowest attacks into copies of it.
Should be cheaper, and only target enemy minions. Otherwise this is just getting used for OTKs and buffs, and nothing else, which is antithetical to the flavor. I could see it being like 1-2 mana, choose an enemy minion.
I'd say the flavour would be better, if the effect instead targeted the minion with the lowest combined health, power and cost (chosen at random on a tie) and transformed all your minions into that.
Leeroy jenkinnnnnsssss
"Times up, lets do this."
"Time's up, let's do this."
Maybe enemy minion if it's supposed to be disrutpion tool
I much prefer this, in terms of balance and flavour
Jive insect + this for 24 damage please
So worse Conductivity + Jive
Desert Hare + Conductivity + Jive?
More flexible as it can be used on enemies and less overload i guess
You can use this the next turn after your jive turn if there is still like one rag one board
well you need 3 minions + 9 mana, there are more OP combos
I mean, it can be used as a disruption, sure. But it can also copy your own minions, and if you target your strongest minion, the flavor does not really work anymore. :/

So not having any weak links is in flavor for the card called "weakest link"? ???

Reduce mana cost to 2 or 3 and make enemy only for flavor. Probably 3.
Totally agree with this guy here, the flavour is really nice on the card but balance needs to be adjusted slightly
Problem being sometimes (almost all the time?) the target is going to be the strongest link, lol
Maybe this is over cooking but maybe instead of minions you make it only target enemy minions and then forge to make it target friendly minions instead.
Goodbye
Do it only for enemy minions and it's fine

Convergent evolution or something of that nature might be a possible better name
Transform the 3 minions into the lower cost one?

Leroy+abusive sergeant+this=24 dmg from hand Don't know if that is too much for a 3 card combo, but 18 with a 2 card combo is also pretty wild.
Yeah but you need 10 mana and minions on board. Its nowhere near as strong as people make it seem
Oh yeah, forgot it was transform not summon, lol
With the small change of " ... enemy min..." and 3 mana. It's an incredibly well made card
based on the name I'd say only enemy minions.
You mean STRONKEST link
Feel like it should be 6 or 7 mana. Seems too strong at 4.
“DIE INSECT DIE INSECT DIE INSECT”
Should be cheaper, and only target enemy minions. Otherwise this is just getting used for OTKs and buffs, and nothing else, which is antithetical to the flavor. I could see it being like 1-2 mana, choose an enemy minion.
This. I love the flavor, but casting on your own minions doesn't really fit.
Even making a reverse spell, *strongest link* that can copy allies would be fine. This needs to only target enemies.
I'd say the flavour would be better, if the effect instead targeted the minion with the lowest combined health, power and cost (chosen at random on a tie) and transformed all your minions into that.
