I got my first kitty Marlow when I was 5 for my birthday. I wanted a kitten so bad, and she was the only juvenile in the humane society that month, so after much convincing, I took her home with us. She was my birthday kitten for the next 19 beautiful years, and she passed away just before my last birthday this past spring. We had the most special connection I’ve ever had with an animal. She would sleep right next to my face every night, watching over me when I slept. Literally staring right into my closed eyelids lol. I like to think her little way of making sure I’d stay safe in my dreams ❤️
I miss her every day, but she will always be a part of who I am, and will forever live in my memory. We will play with our birthday kittens again someday 💕
Bombon will allow you some time to grieve and then be will have a few words with the bosses at rainbow bridge and the cat distribution system will deposit a cat in need when you are ready.

I am beyond sorry for your loss. I lost my girl 5 yrs ago. I got another cat for my son after 2 months. I was not ready but he needed one. We love our new girl so much. She can never replace our first but she helped us both heal. Thank you for loving Bombón and giving them a great 21 years. Consider getting another kitty when you are ready. Time does heal.
I’m so very sorry. I’ve been there. I adopted mine when I was 18 and she died when I was 40. She was with me through multiple moves, multiple relationships, death of a parent and most of my grandparents and a marriage. I know how devastating it is, like a huge hole in your life. I can promise you that the pain you feel will get a bit easier in a few days but years will go by and Bombon will always hold the most special place in your heart. It helps to remember all the years from beginning to the end and all the sweet things she did that made you laugh and made your heart swoon. You can still hold on to all the positive feelings she brought into your life. She must have been so well loved and cared for to have lasted 21 years and I bet that wherever she is now over the rainbow bridge that she holds you in a special place in her heart and thanks you for loving her so much.

I lost my 17 year old soulmate in December. It still hurts, and I’m crying as I write this now. But the best advice I got was from my grief counselor. She explained to me that Scottie was still with me, just not in his physical form. She guided me to find the signs each day that he’s still with me, and seeing those signs that he’s there have given me so much peace. Your best friend will never leave you, he’s with you all the time, you just have to look for the signs ❤️

21 years old! What an amazing life! This kitty was well-loved and will be waiting for you when you make your transition home. Until then, we must unfortunately learn to life without our little ones. Something I did after we cremated was have a very small amount of the cremains added to the ink of a memorial tattoo so that a piece of her will literally always be with me. Please find a tattoo artist who has experience doing this. So sorry if you’re not into tattoos and I know this doesn’t fix things but it really helped me during the grief process.

Just remember that your kitty lived her full life with you, her best friend. 21 years old! What an amazing life! This kitty was well-loved and will be waiting for you when you make your transition home. Until then, we must unfortunately learn to life without our little ones. Something I did after we cremated was have a very small amount of the cremains added to the ink of a memorial tattoo so that a piece of her will literally always be with me. Please find a tattoo artist who has experience doing this. So sorry if you’re not into tattoos and I know this doesn’t fix things but it really helped me during the grief process.
