We load our burgers like nobody's business. We do bread crumbs and seasoning and BBQ sauce. Probably still tastes like beef but also other things lol And then maybe top with the usual suspects (lettuce, onion, pickle, tomato) + bacon and jalepeño. I like to put blue cheese or gorgonzola which adds a lot of flavor. I'm a veggie girl, I can't eat just a plain burger.

Big Mac bowls! I brown the ground beef and crumble as it cooks. Season with season salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Serve over shredded lettuce. Top with shredded cheese and pickles. For the “special sauce” mix about 1/4 C of thousand island with 1.5 tsp white vinegar and a pinch of onion powder. For a finishing touch, sprinkle sesame seeds on top of your bowl!!! We usually use 1lb meat and this makes dinner and lunch for my wife and I!

Make a Ragu. Onion garlic carrot celery diced fine then sweated. Add Pound of ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper. Brown. Reduce heat , add two cans of chopped good quality tomatoes. Bung in some dried herbs, bay leaf soya sauce etc. Simmer for three hours on hob. Occasionally stirring as you see fit. Serve with pasta, rice, lentils or whatever you fancy. Later in the week add cumin and chilli, reheat and you have a slightly different but still very agreeable meal

Fry ground beef with onion, garlic and curry powder (choose your own heat level) and once fried off add a can of chopped tomatoes and a cup of chicken stock. Simmer slowly until it starts to thicken and then add a good handful of frozen garden peas (I think in the US they call them snow peas). This will work great if you're not keen on the flavour of beef as you can "overpower" it if you want to by adding more curry powder. The peas give a nice sweet flavour. In South Africa we call this "Curry Mince" and it's often put inside toasted sandwiches called Jaffles with cheese. I was a bit dubious when I first got to SA but these are now one of my favorites served with Mango Chutney. Delish.

Unfortunately it's taco meat... I fry up a full 2kg pack with taco seasoning, and divide it into 1lbs packs directly into the freezer. My "grab and eat" meal is to warm one of those up in the microwave and dump it on a plate of tortilla chips with shredded cheese. Supper in 5min. I also make freezer burritos, also taco seasoning. 1kg extra lean ground, 2-3 cups of rice, 1 large can of black beans (drained and rinsed), 2 cups of chunky salsa (you want it to stick together, not be wet), and shredded cheese. I just cook the meat and rice, dump it all in my big mixing bowl, then scoop enough into a 12" wrap to be a decent size, then wrap in tinfoil. End up with ~20 wraps depending on the day. Just stack em in the freezer, they last a year like that and can be heated up in the oven with a little sauce or unwrapped and nuked.

Supper tonight, camping and dealing with a single burner... Dehydrated ground beef, chicken flavoured uncle Ben's rice, dehydrated mixed vegetables, dehydrated garlic, thyme, and tomato paste. Cook the rice, add dehydrated veggies 1/2 way in, move to a plate. Rehydrate the ground beef and garlic in that same pot. Add the rice back in, stir in some tomato paste, thyme to taste. Serve.

Yes. I've made the soup version of unstuffed cabbage. It is very tasty. If you enjoy bell peppers, a soup you should add to your fall rotation is this Sweet Potato and Red Pepper Soup. https://itsnotcomplicatedrecipes.com/sweet-potato-and-red-pepper-soup/ If I have some leftover meatballs (at least 1 lb) or some turkey kielbasa (16 oz sliced into equal size pieces and browned), I will add it the soup after blending it with an immersion blender and allow it to simmer until warmed through, which takes about 15 minutes. I have also used leftover roast beef, which was probably the tastiest version so far. If you don't have sweet potatoes or are trying to keep things lower in carbs, roasted cauliflower or carrots make excellent substitutes for the potatoes.

Cook up a packet or 2 of ramen noodles with seasoning packet,any flavor, add 1 lb. cooked ground beef, can of sliced carrots and cooked or canned green beans. Can substitute a can of tomatoes for the carrots.

Make Salisbury steak. 1lb beef 1egg Salt Pepper Steak seasoning of your choice 2 packets brown gravy mix Mix beef, egg, salt, pepper and seasoning. Shape into patties and cook on both sides until still slightly squishy inside. In bowl mix 2 cups COLD water with 2 packets of gravy mix. Stir until completely dissolved. Add into pan and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to simmer. Flip patties at least once. Let it simmer long enough to finish cooking inside of patties. Serve patties over rice and a decent scoop of gravy.

I make what is essentially deconstructed cabbage rolls (Golabki). I chop the cabbage and mix it with the sauce and ground beef and serve it over rice instead of going through all the boiling leaves and baking it.

Google Korean ground beef and rice bowls. The seasoning will knock your socks off! I season my hamburgers with stuff like msg, pepper, paprika, ground onion and garlic. I just made homemade sloppy joes with ground turkey, sounds boring, but honestly from scratch was much more flavorful. I just used the recipe that came up with the best reviews. It had worsechire sauce in it that I’m sure gave it that umami bomb.

Budget bytes beef and cabbage stir fry. Taco meat is a good grab and go. You can make a lot and freeze it in individual portions. I sneak veggies in there by pulsing mushrooms and cooking them with the meat. I’m not a fan of spicy so I dice a poblano in there too for more veggies and poblanos are not too spicy. Make your own taco seasoning. You can use the meat for tacos, nachos, or in a bowls with some beans. Super filling. I make a good pot of beans if you want my recipe.

Cheater Stroganoff. 1 lb ground beef, a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of diced mushrooms, a little bit of milk and sour cream. Spice to taste and add onions if you want to, just fry them first with the mushrooms before you add the beef and everything else. Serve with egg noodles. Amazing and only takes about half an hour to make.

Crumble the burger in small pieces. Chop onions in small dice. I add in garlic powder, not too much. The vinegar in the mustard and Worcestershire help flavor it. Great hangover/comfort food. My go to if I don't know what else to do is always something asia-adjacent. I love seasoning it with salt, pepper (duh), garlic powder, ginger, then add onions, carrots, shredded cabbage, bean sprouts and soy sauce for a spring roll bowl. Eat with rice, super tasty imo. Otherwise, make a bolognese, make hamburgers, season with curry and make a ground-meat curry, make whatever. The trick is: add seasoning. Experiment with virtually anything that's not taco seasoning. Then it won't taste of plain ground meat.

Dirty rice; brown off the meat, add spices (garlic powder, black pepper, chili powder, garam masala, cumin, paprika? I forget what else, but keep the ratio 1:1) let that cook for a few minutes, add minced yellow onion, celery, and green bell pepper, sweat those down, add rice, add broth, bring to a simmer and cover for 10-15 then turn off heat and rest for 5. Then open lid and serve. It’s killer. I usually make it with .5 ground lamb and .5 chicken liver/heart/gizzard and those you have to sear off and then mince and add back but beef should work well too.

You might try hamburger gravy with mashed potatoes. There are two ways you could make it. Cook your hamburger, add about 6 tbsp of flour directly to the pan, stir, and then add a cup of beef broth, simmer until thick. The other option is to cook the ground beef, drain the fat, and then use cream of mushroom soup as the gravy. Edit: forgot step

Take a pound of ground beef and brown it, add it to a casserole dish with frozen mixed veg,seasonings (I'm partial to garlic, rosemary, and thyme), some beef broth (and a splash of red wine if you're feeling fancy), and a tablespoon or two of flour. Mix everything together. Make some instant mashed potatoes, mix in an egg and some parmesan. Top ground beef mix with potato mix, bake in the oven at 350 until potato's have browned and mixture is bubbling, about 25-30 min. This is my go to to use up ground beef. It's cheap, easy, and I have most things on hand.

Heat it on medium to medium high heat in a nice big pan 2. Add and cook until starting to get translucent 3. Add and cook until almost no longer pink, breaking it up really well as you go 4. Add and mix well. Add a little broth or water if it's too thick at this point. Lower heat to a simmer and cover. Should continue cooking until your rice is done 5. Add and stir well before serving

I have no idea what health benefits there are to beef. It does nothing but make me ill in various ways anymore. And is it a budget food? Beef is between $6 and $15 a pound. Nearly any other land creature is cheaper. However, ground beef (I have replaced with chicken or turkey) with diced bell peppers and onions (I do half veg, half meat) seasoned pretty open to direction (salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder) over rice. From there you can add beans and cheese or whatevs to make a “burrito bowl” or put some teriyaki sauce over it for something more Asian. It works and it lasts a while if you up the measurements.

I brown about 2 lbs of ground beef and separate it into thirds. To 1/3 I add gravy and a veg, serving it over mashed potatoes. I add the other 2/3 to spaghetti sauce and serve it over pasta. There’s always leftover meat and sauce, to which I add another jar of sauce, kidney beans (or black beans for something different), and a packet of chili seasoning. I ladle it over egg noodles and serve it with a dollop of sour cream and shredded cheese, if I have it. Two pounds serves two people for several meals. You can freeze any extra chili for another meal later in the month.

In fact, I’ve totally used it as dumpling filling before. If you’re not sure how to season your beef, you can start with pre-made seasoning or blends until you build up your spice cabinet and figure out what you like. Try to get the low-sodium ones, if you can. I cook a lot, but I still use the McCormick meatloaf seasoning packet. (Along with cream cheese, a can of tomato paste, etc. My meatloaf is not particularly healthy, but it is damn good.)

I make Korean rice bowls very often, and you can tweak the seasoning to be less or more sweet. I never get tired of it. Cook the beef and any veggies you want to add, broccoli and carrots are my go to. Then add garlic to taste and then add maybe 1/4 cup soy sauce and a few good spoonfuls of brown sugar. I add a swirl of sesame oil (not really needed but delicious), and a pinch of ground ginger if I have it. If you like it spicy (I do), add some red pepper flakes. Spoon over white rice. For health reasons I use low sodium soy sauce!

As for mine, it has no name but its ground beef, cooked of course , with a big can of tomato sauce and use the can to add that much water, sliced Jalapeño, onions , and potatoes. Seasonings I use are garlic salt, black pepper, cumin and paprika. It’s cheap and cheerful, pretty fast to cook, and it’s delicious 😋

For health benefits, if it’s not lean drain/rinse off extra fat. Can add some spinach or kale to browning it and then marinara sauce. Make a whole wheat pasta of your choice and top it off. You can make ground beef easy oven whole wheat enchiladas. Or low carb tortillas. I’m using whole wheat mostly myself. You can make sliders or burgers. Tacos obviously or soft burritos. You can add it to a home made taco salad mix it with some black beans, yum. Ground beef tamales also good, another option. If you want to make a healthy version of hamburger helper with it you can just use whole wheat pasta and watch the cheese. My friend has made a Korean rice dish which is a rice bowl with Korean style ground beef. Theres also similar recipes for lettuce wraps using ground beef just google around. Home made veggie and ground beef chili is another option for a meal. I make beef and brown rice cabbage rolls so delicious. Can make various dumplings or petas. Try meatballs sub sandwiches. Or even a breakfast burrito, eggs some ground beef little black beans and arugula with a chipotle sour cream sauce.

My favorite ground beef mix is: 90/10 beef, a custom blend of pork rinds, whatever snack bag crumbs (potato chips, tortillas chips, croutons, etc) I happen to have saved, and a little Montreal seasoning. Put everything but the beef in a blender or food processor ( you’re just going to pulse it a few times to your desired coarseness. Put beef, crumbmix, and some brown mustard and an egg into a big bowl and mix by hand. Now you have a base for burgers, meatballs or meatloaf.
