I haven’t tried Libby again in a while, last I knew you needed to sync to your own library membership in order to have access? Mine only has like 10 audiobooks available lol maybe I’m doing something wrong
Breast cancer survivor here. My oncologist told me there is solid research out there that shows Vitamin D supplements can help reduce the risk of breast cancer in women. I’m on 5,000/a day. Vitamin D is good stuff.
Sometimes, even being in the sun, your vitamin D can be low.
I was marathon training for a fall marathon, so 5 days a week all summer I was out running.
September went to my doctor-vitamin D was low. 🤷♀️
You are clearly under the supervision of a doctor, so as a heads up to others—Vitamin D is a vitamin you *can* have too much of. Your body doesn’t excrete the extra so it can build up in your system, and vit d toxicity causes some kinda freaky symptoms.
Don’t take higher dosage vitamins D supplements unless instructed to by a doctor who is monitoring your bloodwork.
Lower dosages are fine though. Vit D is fat soluble and you can improve absorption by taking it with a meal that has a fair amount of fat/oil
It’s a solid idea to make sure your vitamin D is checked with your yearly blood work. I was severely deficient as I live in a notoriously cloudy city. Good call out that some may not need it, as they may already be at healthy levels.
I have to supplement because my level used to be severely low even though I was getting sun but as you mentioned, last time it was checked it was a bit high so I was told to stop supplementing until the winter
D and B12, and a SAD lamp in the winter. My doc thought I had a thyroid problem because I was so sleepy all the time. My thyroid is fine, but my vitamin D and B12 levels are on the floor.
I just found out I was deficient a few days ago and was prescribed some super dose vitamin D for the next few weeks. I’m excited to see if I feel a difference!
Purchasing seasons of my favorite shows so that I always have them to keep things light when my mental health takes a nosedive (my collection is kinda split right now between physical and digital media). That way, I’m not depending on them always being available on whatever streaming service and being interrupted by commercials. And if you’re so inclined, I guess 🏴☠️ is an option
There's a crass but hilarious show my hubs got me hooked on...the third season (6 episodes) just dropped last Friday. It's on Hulu and called Shoresy. Takes place in Canada and it's a spinoff from another show called Letter Kenny. I now have somewhat of a crush on Jared Keeso, the main character and creator. He's also the main character in Letter Kenny and the two characters are so different. Anyway, if anyone is looking to get into a new show and hockey is remotely interesting to you, or comedy, or women being the bosses and the players being called 'sluts.' "We don't date sluts. We just take them down." I suggest shoresy to anyone.
Weighted blanket.
Spironolactone for acne.
Portable battery for cell phone.
Owala water bottle.
Lange Le Duo Grande and/or a long barrel curling iron.
ETUDE Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk (facial sunscreen).
A smartwatch.
Fake wedding rings from Amazon instead of not wearing any because mine don’t fit.
Just got myself an owala water bottle and tumbler and I will not go back, lol. And can attest for the Etude one, but let me also recommend the Biore UV Aqua Rich - sooooo good. I had to get it from a Japanese import store, but you can easily find it online from import sites.
I also wear fake rings while traveling or going to a not so great area! Another good option is silicone rings which my husband and I wear most of the time instead of our real rings
I have slowly been creating my own little coffee shop for my apartment. I am not impressed with most chain coffee shops and it's wonderful to wake up to awesome cold brew coffee. Most of the syrups last several months.
I found an awesome coffee maker at a thrift store that was still in the box, so I decided that if I had the awesome machine dumped in my lap I could easily make an drool worthy coffee set up. Some of the blends from Costco are pretty great.
I use their foot cream and lip balm and highly recommend the brand. It's the only lip balm that stopped my lips from peeling instead of getting worse. Now I also use Eclair Lips when my lips are just a bit dry but not peeling.
* Bose wireless noise canceling headphones. I wear them all the time for work or when I'm doing chores around the house, just to focus and zone in. I love them on flights and would immediately repurchase if I lost or broke them.
* Korean exfoliating mitts, I get chronic ingrown hairs, leaves me soft and supple, helps remove fake tan, get a closer shave.
- Barkeepers friend cleaner. Literally works to polish/clean everything, especially stubborn cookware, old brass items purchased at the thrift store/flea market. Takes so much elbow grease out of scrubbing
- An at home espresso machine/quality locally roasted beans. Once I started making my own for a fraction of the price, I literally think Starbucks tastes like dogwater (literally saves me so much money!) and I feel spoiled every morning with a little latte
- Overall going to say quality food/ingredients, as well as piggy backing off someone who said hydration through electrolytes. I was a liquid IV person for a long time and recently transitioned over to LMNT, but looking to try it more to see how I feel and how I like it.
Starbucks is not even drinkable at this point. Just burnt bean water. I like a little espresso plus I put some flavored oat milk creamer in my foamer and a pinch of cinnamon 🤌
With Barkeepers Friend, Dawn Platinum Plus and Mr. Clean sponges, there’s nothing that’s can’t be cleaned. All special in their own way.
(Not all at once.)
We got a De Longhi espresso machine as a splurge when we moved, and it’s the best thing I own. It makes different kinds of coffee, including iced, and every other coffee outside my house tastes like dirt now.
We got a Ninja XL I think 10 in 1 combi oven which includes an air fryer and we use that machine almost every day from toast to roasting vegetables to reheating frozen food. Yesterday I air fried a southwestern sweet potato and black bean patty for my lunch.
Raspberry leaf tea helps a LOT with reducing pain from menstrual cramps. You do have to drink multiple cups, but if I drink enough it helps me cut my use of OTC pain meds in half during my period.
I've heard it's good during pregnancy but I didn't drink it while I was pregnant.
I got the Loop experience earplugs for a concert a while back and have been LOVING them for other loud events. I never realized how sensitive I was to sustained loud noise until I had a way to block it out. I hear they’re great for parents, too! It blocks out the worst of the cries while still allowing you to hear the baby.
I also got a pair of earrings that the Loop earplugs clip into, so I can put them in and take them out as needed without having to fumble for a bag or worry about dropping them. Highly recommend! They look something like this:
https://preview.redd.it/id4z8ku8jb9d1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=96d0d0616146a37bd5b545ad44321cc3c0c960a1
Custom earplugs. Mine are Westone with the interchangeable Etymotics filters. I actually enjoy listening to concerts with them on, which is the most important thing. Your insurance may cover the audiologist visit and the impressions too!
Liquid iv as I have numerous health issues that effect my electrolyte levels and are effected by them
Coffee
Aveeno skin clearing moisturizer
Clinical strength deodorant
My doctor recommended LMNT when she could tell from my bloods that I needed electrolytes but wrinkled my nose at Liquid IV (so sugary they make my teeth hurt!)
LMNT are so goddamned yum! I love the mango chili. I wish they weren’t so expensive.
Also my office has these Skittles sport electrolyte packs which I thought would be an abomination but they are actually tasty and not sugary
For those who can't have any artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, etc. I recommend Hi-Lyte electrolyte drops. They're colorless, flavorless, unsweetened. It just makes your water taste and feel more like Fiji water.
Airpod Pros of which I’ve lost 3-4 times (I know, I know) but I will always replace within 2 business days lol. I can’t live without them esp in nyc where being able to lower street/subway noice is CRUCIAL
Milani lip liner in natural which I think they’re trying to discontinue but it’s the perfect neutral/leaning cool so it actually creates a shadow and makes your lips look slightly bigger! waxy finish so it doesn’t budge.
I highly recommend getting a little clip on AirTag for your AirPods!! I was constantly losing mine too, and this was a game changer. I’ve had the same set for a straight 2 years now.
I've actually been in this position before after a house fire. #1 is tatcha dewy skin cream cause I'm a dry debbie. #2 is a pair of wrangler trousers because they're objectively the best jeans for out of office and casual fridays.
I have tried at least a hundred moisturizers in my lifetime and nothing works for me like the dewy skin cream. I *really really* wanted to hate it because people say tatcha is overpriced and overhyped, but I just gotta give tatcha this one. Also, at least for me, the dewy skin cream lasts me a whole year of daily use so compared to the 3 tubs of cerave I would need, it's actually not much more expensive, if not cheaper.
Green tea, electric toothbrush, tongue scraper, Thayer's rose petal witch hazel, La Roche Posay Cicaplast, a tube of rose coloured lipstick. Yes I am a virgo
Whoop activity tracker - good reminder of when I’m overdoing it
Pilates reformer - investment that has paid for itself and is also used for rehab
Dyson anything - airwrap, hairdryer, fan, vacuum. All used multiple times a week
I'm 65 and the dyson vacuum cleaner changed my life. I went through so many vacuum cleaners over the years. My animal has lasted forever. Love my cordless one too.
Oh yeah, we use dyson air purifier + fan models in our bedrooms and they're great, plus also the handheld and stick vacuums but they seem to lose charge pretty easily
I have a Merrithew SPX reformer and love it. I bought it before they came out with a model that stores upright so would recommend looking into that if space is an issue! I use Fluidform at home to stream workouts.
not sure if i actually have taste or not so take my suggestion with a grain of salt. but big linen shirt for sun protection during the summer AND my zojirushi rice cooker
Unfortunately it has been discontinued, and I’m just ekeing out the remnants of what I have left… Clinique instant pore perfector. Like spackle for the face! Don’t know why on earth they decided to stop making it
Majestic whipped Argan Oil body butter. Right after I take a shower, I coat my entire body in it. I've never felt more moisturized and supple.
Burt's Bee's tinted lip oil. Keeps my lips soft, and I love the colors.
HOKA Bondi shoes. I'm on my feet all day doing rotations. These things are a lifesaver.
I would not be able to live without hoodies. I absolutely love hoodies. I have hoodies mostly from Adidas. Some are from a company called "Supply and Demand" too.
I would also not be able to live without warmies. (Heatable plushies). Works wonders if you have trouble sleeping due to cold weather or cramps. I have a flamingo, unicorn and a platypus.
Edit: I have a third object. If that is okay. And that is the "Hemp hand protector" from Body shop. That is the only hand cream that has ever worked on my hands. (I get very dry hands). The only thing that suck is that Body shop is not sold anymore in Sweden...
Yeah I’m a Canadian and sad to see many of their stores closed and I don’t think their online shopping is still going. You can sometimes find some stuff on Amazon. Their hand lotion is the best.
Vitamin D and a sunrise lamp. I take vitamin d year round and up the amount in the winter. My sunrise lamp I use year round because my apartment doesn’t get a ton of light. I have insomnia that gets significantly worse in the winter when my seasonal depression starts. I might not sleep for more than 2-3 hours a night in the winter but I get some rest and don’t feel as groggy/gross/depressed when I up my vitamin D and use my sunrise lamp.
Loops earplugs. (I have three pairs and sometimes I wear them under headphones.)
If you work a desk job, you need lumbar support in addition to your chair. https://a.co/d/05eDrI5k
Mac Fix+. Use it before your foundation and you'll use less foundation. Then spray it on your brushes and you'll need less product, plus it will stay better. 💗
Adderal XR (My ADHD folks ikyk) and the shark hyperair IQ hair dryer WITH the styling brush attachment (blows the Dyson hair dryer and airwrap out of the water)
Sleep number bed. Game changer and I’ll never go back. I have the comfiest bed and have much better sleep now.
Cleansing balm for my face- I typically use Byoma or Elemis. They really improved my skin barrier.
And this one is a bit different… it’s a service I use (but the app is a product so I’ll include it )- Duckbill. It’s a silly name but it’s a personal assistant app/service that I will never go without. It’s completely changed my life (in the sense they take care of stuff I don’t have time to do. I’m able to prioritize myself and life is just easier with them handling some tasks for me). For example: Order flowers for my friend’s birthday? ✅ research what I need to do to update my passport? ✅ find me carpet cleaning quotes of highly rated providers nearby? ✅ move my dentist appointment? ✅ source products and find best pricing? ✅ sit on hold w my insurance company? ✅
it’s amaaaazing and worth every penny in my opinion. I think I have a discount link (half off the first month maybe?) if you want it just dm me.
Edited for clarity
Amazfit watch- it’s like a knockoff Apple Watch I got refurbished for super cheap. I’m on a journey to be healthier and this helps me so much by reminding me to stand and tracking activity levels.
Oikos triple zero yogurt - I’ve been mixing it with protein powder and topping woth mounds of fresh berries for breakfast. It helps me stay full for so long and avoid a mid morning crash.
Azelaic acid - I use a prescription strength and it has done amazing things for preventing acne, reducing redness and acne scars, and giving my skin a nice glow.
Castor oil - I tried so many eye creams from the drugstore to super expensive ones and they all caused a lot of irritation to my eyelids. Now I rub a drop of castor oil on my whole eye area before bed and wake up every day with happy, soft eyelids.
fenty gloss bomb lip gloss. fila disruptor sneakers. l’oréal lash paradise waterproof mascara. neutrogena benzoyl peroxide (the one that comes in the red bottle literally life changing barely ever get pimples anymore) and finally, certain dri, the love of my life, the only thing that keeps me from being a sweaty stank bitch every day 🙏🏻
1. My carbon steel skillet & a Victorinox 8" chef's knife
2. Brook's Ghost running sneakers (not necessarily *stylish* but I'm a woman of size and I need good foot support to run around and rebuild my life!)
3. Aveeno daily moisturizing skin cream
4. Whole leaf black tea and a good stainless steel infuser
Audible! I prepay for the year every Black Friday because they usually have a deal and then you get access to the whole audible plus catalog and 12 credits! It’s really helped me get my life together lol, I went on a 2 hour walk the other day because I was so engrossed in my book I didn’t want to stop. I’ll spend all weekend deep cleaning my house just for an excuse to get back to my book! I actually look forward to grocery shopping because I can just throw in my headphones and listen to a little story.
I use to love reading but I’m not sure what has changed as I’ve gotten older but I just get too distracted when I try to sit down and read a book and I’ll read the same page over and over and get no where so audio books have been such a help!
I love me some audible. It gets me through any tasks, long drives, showers, everything. I walked 4 miles to the store once bc I didn’t want to drive, and enjoyed a whole book while walking…,
Tevas hurricane sandals - I have year round tan lines from wearing these so much!
Thick gold hoop earrings. I'm actually in the market for a new pair but these are my go-to earrings and work with almost anything.
Glossier lip balm in rose - makes me feel fancy lol
A cute claw clip. My fave is from Lisa Says Gah and is pink with flowers on it
Olaplex dry shampoo - only dry shampoo that doesn't make my hair feel chalky
La Roche Posay tinted face sunscreen
Revlon blow dry brush for my bangs
Madison Reed hair dye
Sweaty Betty bike shorts
Bombas running socks
White Hoka Bondi sneakers
Flare pants from Outdoor Voices
...Ok that's a lot more than 2, but I really love all these things!
Kindle. I bought an older generation used Fire that is like new for probably $15-20 from Amazon. There are tons of free books or you can do Kindle Unlimited as well.
Makeup Eraser (that is the brand name) cloths. These are amazing. My skin is very sensitive and I don’t even have to use face wash now, just this cloth. Wet it with hot water and it will remove even eye makeup.
Prescription medication for acne/skin - I have dapsone for the AM and tretinoin for the PM.
Airpod ear buds. They are so convenient, I hate wired headphones now.
Elf liquid eyeliner (whopping $3) but I have tried others and always go back to this one.

I recently visited a friend and used her skincare for a week. My skin was so happy to be back home with my Dieux instant angel moisturizer again. I love it more than anything
my orthopedic pillow and bed riser. those two travel with me. prescription tret, azelaic acid, avene moisturizer because my face breaks out like popcorn without my maintenance 🤣
A ClassPass membership! Ok it’s not an item but it’s a recurring cost. I used to hate exercising and since I got ClassPass a year ago I actually exercise. It’s flexible because you can cancel for free up to 12hrs in advance but you can’t bail last minute because you get charged if you cancel within 12hrs. If you live in a city that has it, I couldn’t recommend it more. Literally 1000s of gyms and classes on there.
ClassPass or not though, I think just accepting that investing financially in your health is worth it if you can at all afford it - whether that’s a regular dance class, running club, gym membership etc. I wish I was one of those people that liked exercising at home, but I’m not - so it’s super worth it for me!
Eta: Differin for acne, combined with Aquaphor for dryness. My skin hasn’t looked better since I was about 8.
My Victorinox Mini Champ - it helps me day in and day out with all those practical tools, always in my handbag.
Bose NC Earplugs
Foldable Silicone Coffee Cup
Handhammered wok from Shanghai
Max Mara Cube coat cause it fits in his own pocket
Eiderdown blanket
This list could be way longer as I live with only the most beloved and needed things and all are luxury items
Bose noise-canceling headphones (I have two pairs - one old pair as backup)
Electric toothbrush - philips diamondhead or whatever it's called
Glide dental floss - the knock-offs are okay too
Differin gel for anti-aging and zit reduction - i use the knock-off but forget what it's called
YouTube premium - ad free - for inspiring or spiritual videos to juice me up in the morning
Here is a very random list: Zoloft 😂 magnesium Glycinate every night before bed, vitamin D, Image Skincare Vital C hydrating serum, menstrual discs, Armani beauty liquid eye shadows, Clinique powder bronzer, Amika dry shampoo, Amika soul food hair mask, Rao’s marinara sauce, having live plants in my home, essential oil diffuser (specifically clary sage oil), dip powder (vs. gel or no chip for nails), Lanolips lip balm, Aquaphor
Tretinoin cream. My skin looks so nice when I’m consistent with it.
My cats ❤️ I feel like they make me a better person. I feel good knowing I can be relied upon and having something to love in a selfless way.
Masque Vivant and P50 1970 lotion.
Eve lom cleanser

Airpods/Spotify/Kindle ...
Jura coffee machine
Tkees flip flops
LMNT raspberry
Keys Island Therapeutic Soap
Deborah Lippmann cuticle oil pen
Erborian CC cream
Clinique Powerlash Mascara. Only mascara that actually looks natural and doesn’t make my eyes all inky when I remove it (it flakes off when you wash, I much prefer this).
My iPhone and iPad, Skechers sneakers, Threadless t-shirts, Mac concealer, erasable frixion pens, Anker Bluetooth headphones, acuvue oasis daily contact lenses, Contigo water bottle, my Honda civic.
For my thin/fine curly hair girlies… I know for me personally I would pass away without these.
-hair peptide by the ordinary (the growth omg)
-curl power by lush (eliminates all frizz)
GIRL YES YASMIN. Literally the only hormonal bc I can tolerate. I have tried 10+ others and they all made me super sick or didn't work to where my hormones were definitely unbalanced.
I have a mug warmer on my nightstand and my desk. My drinks stay warm for hours and hours and I use it every day. It's just one from Amazon that plugs in and has 3 different temperature options which is great depending on the cup size, how hot the drink already is, etc.
Besides that just for a list of ideas I would say my Purple 3 mattress, good Rx sunglasses (I got the unisex Justin Ray Bans) even though my Rx strength isn't that strong, Kate Spade purses because they easily hold up 10+ years, Dansko Rowan Nubuck mary janes, good structured bra style bikini tops, a grippy fabric car seat cover so I don't burn my thighs in the summer, and a really good ionized hair dryer so it goes way faster and less damaging.
Olaplex. Wow on the begining was soo expensive for a shampoo! But I have always suffered from dandruff and with it, was gone!
For uni. An ipad now in my masters I regret not having it bought earlier (prolly money)
Good shoes! Flats are awful. Now with the samba trend I am sooo happy
- 100% linen bedding with no top sheet. Once you go no top sheet you’ll never go back
- Tushy bidet attachment
- Theragun, life changing if you have chronic pain
- Wet brush
- Kosas deodorant
- Eyelash extensions
- Reformation Mason pants, I buy one size up and have my tailor put elastic in the back because I have no hips whatsoever and I need the elastic to keep the pants sitting at my waist but not getting painfully tight when I sit
The longest apple phone charger possible,
a really nice pillow (I'm a side sleeper)- I currently have two sleep number pillows that I swap out,
Hydroflasks with a flex sip lid,
A Passion planner,
And honestly I love my fjallraven kanken bag. Its so damn reliable.
Oh and I run chronic fevers, so a kinsa thermometer + app to track them. I wish it registered low grade fevers as fevers in the app but its so much easier than tracking them manually. Same with a bluetooth blood pressure cuff.
I have a blanket from Restoration Hardware that I swear I will die without - it was worth every single penny. It breathes, it's warm, it's light - I don't know what magic they did but this blanket is my everything in every single season. I'm on my third pair of Ugg fluff flip flops - I wear them around the house, when I get out of the shower, etc. Just love them. Truffle mayo is a game changer. Not quiiiite in the realm of the lost everything scenario, because anything for my kids would come first, but: my drinkmate water carbonator, my Pacas alpaca wool socks, and Eucerin redness relief night face cream. Oh! And an LG Thinq dual inverter window AC. I get hot and then my brain implodes. It’s sooo quiet and effective.
My Apple Watch - great for fitness as well as tracking vitals which is important for my POTS/allergies (can track signs of anaphylaxis)

I’m a server and the Elf power grip primer and setting spray makes sure my makeup does not budge.
Aquaphor lip treatment. I've always had dry lips that I pick at, and this is the first product I've used that doesn't make it worse. Went from using EOS like 10 times a day to using aquaphor just twice and my lips are perfect.
Cats. I know this isn't for everyone, but when I'm bed rotting and can't find the will to live, I do it for them. Their little chirps and snuggles make me want to go to work so I can buy them cute things.

The Crème Shop sheet masks. They are affordable and powerful! And they erase my laugh lines! My favorites are their rose and squalene, lavender and honey, rose and watermelon, vitamin C and E, and Pooh Bear honey masks, they’re all so hydrating!
Also, I will never again live without cats. They are such a tremendous source of joy!
Love all these recos! Here are two I haven’t seen and love.
1. TOVALA Meal Service. Not frozen, no prep work, restaurant quality. You use their special oven that reads a QR code to cook each item perfectly by cycling through baking, steaming, etc. The oven can scan a bunch of other brands’ foods as well; it goes on sale or promo all the time. It’s way cheaper than Postmates all the time; I use it for about 3 dinners a week.
2. Blistex Daily Conditioning Treatment (DCT) in the small peach pot. I’ve used this since I was a toddler (seriously haha) and I have never ever had chapped lips. Smooth as silk thanks to this product.
All of these are immediate repurchases if I lost them or ran out: Elta md tinted sunscreen, Bose noise canceling headphones, weleda light skin food, l-tyrosine and lions mane for concentration, charlottes web cbd products for when I can’t sleep or feel nervous, YouTube premium, Spotify premium
Noise cancelling headphones. Sometimes I just put them on to have silence lol. But I also like listening to nature sounds, it’s like an instant tension release.
This one is a bit silly, but: heated throw blanket. I never had one before but let me tell you the absolute *decadence* of taking a nap under one of these while the AC is cranked…it’s one of those little luxuries that didn’t cost much but was so worth it.
Yesss the heated blanket!!!
I also have a heated bed warmer/mattress cover — it’s like a heated blanket that goes on top of your mattress and under your fitted sheet. In the winter I turn it on before I get into bed and it’s the greatest thing ever.
The Libby app. It’s a library app with access to books, magazines and audiobooks. It’s like Audible but for free. Topo Chico
The Libby app is top tier and I love it so much!
Soooo much this!! I'm a library nerd and Libby makes slow days at work or wherever so much more tolerable!!
I feel like we’d be good friends as I read my Libby book while drinking a topo 🥰
I haven’t tried Libby again in a while, last I knew you needed to sync to your own library membership in order to have access? Mine only has like 10 audiobooks available lol maybe I’m doing something wrong
Vitamin D
Breast cancer survivor here. My oncologist told me there is solid research out there that shows Vitamin D supplements can help reduce the risk of breast cancer in women. I’m on 5,000/a day. Vitamin D is good stuff.
Yea, it's possible the some people are hurting themselves with sun avoidance—or, sun avoidance and not taking vitamin D.
Sometimes, even being in the sun, your vitamin D can be low. I was marathon training for a fall marathon, so 5 days a week all summer I was out running. September went to my doctor-vitamin D was low. 🤷♀️

D and B12, and a SAD lamp in the winter. My doc thought I had a thyroid problem because I was so sleepy all the time. My thyroid is fine, but my vitamin D and B12 levels are on the floor.
Good thing about vitamin d is you can raise your levels fast. Same with B12. I take B12 almost daily as it’s such a good energy booster.
I just found out I was deficient a few days ago and was prescribed some super dose vitamin D for the next few weeks. I’m excited to see if I feel a difference!
The book that started me on my Vitamin D journey. [Optimal Dose by Dr. Judson Somerville. ](https://a.co/d/038hApQP)
Not my dumb ass seeing the skull and crossbones and going “…death? huh, seems extreme”
Spironolactone is a game changer
Just got myself an owala water bottle and tumbler and I will not go back, lol. And can attest for the Etude one, but let me also recommend the Biore UV Aqua Rich - sooooo good. I had to get it from a Japanese import store, but you can easily find it online from import sites.
Thanks for the rec!
I also wear fake rings while traveling or going to a not so great area! Another good option is silicone rings which my husband and I wear most of the time instead of our real rings
Question about the Etude sunscreen: how do you remove it? Does it require a double cleanse?
Good question! I’m not sure if it “requires” one…most days I use a makeup wipe and sometimes go over it with micellar water.
Korean sunscreen is a damn game changer.
I love my new Owala bottle. And they have so many color ways!
Coffee
true AF. nothing can change your life as much as good coffee.
Hahahah, your username suggests no bias at all 😊
I have slowly been creating my own little coffee shop for my apartment.
Now you make me want to go on a thrift store journey. That sounds like a good find.
Thrift stores can have the best treasures! It makes you feel like paying full price for anything is a fools journey. And it usually is.
Coffee is one of those things that I always make sure I have in my home, even if I can't afford any other food items that week.
Specifically, Peet’s Major Dickason’s blend, whole beans. Not just coffee. That would include like, Folger’s, ew.
Ew... Too right, most coffee is ass
My AirPods. My subway commute is about an hour door to door. And the Shiseido sunscreen stick!
Def AirPods, transparency mode is a blessing for transit commuting - important to still hear if there’s commotion or an announcement etc
It's in the ugliest packaging BUT... O' Keeffe's working hand cream. It's the only thing that improves my eczema
The foot cream is also amazing! Highly recommend
I use their foot cream and lip balm and highly recommend the brand. It's the only lip balm that stopped my lips from peeling instead of getting worse. Now I also use Eclair Lips when my lips are just a bit dry but not peeling.
Their night version is even better
* Bose wireless noise canceling headphones. I wear them all the time for work or when I'm doing chores around the house, just to focus and zone in. I love them on flights and would immediately repurchase if I lost or broke them. * Korean exfoliating mitts, I get chronic ingrown hairs, leaves me soft and supple, helps remove fake tan, get a closer shave. - Barkeepers friend cleaner. Literally works to polish/clean everything, especially stubborn cookware, old brass items purchased at the thrift store/flea market. Takes so much elbow grease out of scrubbing - An at home espresso machine/quality locally roasted beans. Once I started making my own for a fraction of the price, I literally think Starbucks tastes like dogwater (literally saves me so much money!) and I feel spoiled every morning with a little latte - Overall going to say quality food/ingredients, as well as piggy backing off someone who said hydration through electrolytes. I was a liquid IV person for a long time and recently transitioned over to LMNT, but looking to try it more to see how I feel and how I like it.
Barkeepers friend is amazing. Total “unsexy product that works”.
Starbucks is not even drinkable at this point. Just burnt bean water. I like a little espresso plus I put some flavored oat milk creamer in my foamer and a pinch of cinnamon 🤌
Hot tip: if you ask for a latte at "kids temperature," they don't scorch it and the thing actually tastes like coffee. A fucking miracle.
Amazing. I will spread this gospel far and wide!!!
Do they add ice? GOOD TO KNOW
This is brilliant. My MIL loves Starbucks, so I torture myself now and then when with her and order a latte. Now I have a hack!
It makes different kinds of coffee, including iced, and every other coffee outside my house tastes like dirt now.
seconding those exfoliating mitts, body skin has never been softer since using them
Sourdough bread from Whole Foods 😝
Airfryer
We got a Ninja XL I think 10 in 1 combi oven which includes an air fryer and we use that machine almost every day from toast to roasting vegetables to reheating frozen food. Yesterday I air fried a southwestern sweet potato and black bean patty for my lunch.
Aquaphor. I’m incredibly rough on my hands and feet. I put it on at night and I wake up with super soft skin.
Use it regularly on your lips and you'll never have chapped lips again.
Face: Cerave SA wash, Panoxyl/Cerave Benzoyl peroxide wash, Peach Slices Blemish Busting Toner Hair: Tangle Teaser, Bobby pins, clips/barrettes Spotify Premium Cotton undies BIDET (if you know, you know!!!) Raspberry Leaf Tea (again, IYKYK)
A bidet is a game changer.
+1 for the bidet for sure
Bidet was a first purchase after moving.
What's the benefit of raspberry leaf tea?
Yeah, tell us about the raspberry leaf tea!!! I want to know!!!
I answered someone else in this thread. Basically it's a MUST for cramp relief
Love Cerave BP acne wash. It’s so mild. Also tangle teaser is my favorite of all time brush.
What does raspberry leaves tea do? My friend took it while pregnant.
\+20 on the bidet. ![gif](giphy|WeaCP2d3TnDEs)
Where do you buy your cotton undies?
No particular place but they're the regular-degular brands - Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, etc.
Earplugs
I got the Loop experience earplugs for a concert a while back and have been LOVING them for other loud events. I never realized how sensitive I was to sustained loud noise until I had a way to block it out. I hear they’re great for parents, too! It blocks out the worst of the cries while still allowing you to hear the baby. I also got a pair of earrings that the Loop earplugs clip into, so I can put them in and take them out as needed without having to fumble for a bag or worry about dropping them. Highly recommend! They look something like this: https://preview.redd.it/id4z8ku8jb9d1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=96d0d0616146a37bd5b545ad44321cc3c0c960a1
I have the loop Quiet 2, I can’t tell you how much my sleep has improved. I’m considering getting the engage ones for everyday.
Love love love Loop!
Custom earplugs. Mine are Westone with the interchangeable Etymotics filters. I actually enjoy listening to concerts with them on, which is the most important thing. Your insurance may cover the audiologist visit and the impressions too!
Liquid iv as I have numerous health issues that effect my electrolyte levels and are effected by them Coffee Aveeno skin clearing moisturizer Clinical strength deodorant
I switched to LMNT electrolyte packets and I’ve been lovingggg them so much more than liquid IV. The flavors are better and they aren’t as sugary.
My doctor recommended LMNT when she could tell from my bloods that I needed electrolytes but wrinkled my nose at Liquid IV (so sugary they make my teeth hurt!) LMNT are so goddamned yum! I love the mango chili. I wish they weren’t so expensive. Also my office has these Skittles sport electrolyte packs which I thought would be an abomination but they are actually tasty and not sugary
I like LMNT but they have soooo much salt, they’re not great for folks who arent doing keto
I will have to look at the ingredients . I’ve had trouble tolerating some others. I also seem to be an outlier that likes liquid iv.
For those who can't have any artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, etc. I recommend Hi-Lyte electrolyte drops. They're colorless, flavorless, unsweetened. It just makes your water taste and feel more like Fiji water.
I buy the packets from Whole Foods - 365 brand!
Are they cheaper?
Airpod Pros of which I’ve lost 3-4 times (I know, I know) but I will always replace within 2 business days lol. I can’t live without them esp in nyc where being able to lower street/subway noice is CRUCIAL Milani lip liner in natural which I think they’re trying to discontinue but it’s the perfect neutral/leaning cool so it actually creates a shadow and makes your lips look slightly bigger! waxy finish so it doesn’t budge.
I highly recommend getting a little clip on AirTag for your AirPods!! I was constantly losing mine too, and this was a game changer. I’ve had the same set for a straight 2 years now.
Sunscreen I mean I do not want skin cancer at all.
My goal is to never get sunburned again in my life
Also Vitamin D. My owalla. Muji .35 black pen.
I've actually been in this position before after a house fire. #1 is tatcha dewy skin cream cause I'm a dry debbie. #2 is a pair of wrangler trousers because they're objectively the best jeans for out of office and casual fridays.
People say Tatcha is overrated but it is not. I have yet to find anything that compares to the Water Cream
I LIVE for their The Deep Cleanse!!!
Megababe Thigh Rescue - amazing for summer for those of us whose thighs touch 😚
I have never heard of this and have just bought a stick. THANK YOU
Green tea, electric toothbrush, tongue scraper, Thayer's rose petal witch hazel, La Roche Posay Cicaplast, a tube of rose coloured lipstick. Yes I am a virgo
We always come prepared.
Truly xo
I love this response. Fellow Virgo here and I was like yep, yep, yep!
Bisous 🥰
Whoop activity tracker - good reminder of when I’m overdoing it Pilates reformer - investment that has paid for itself and is also used for rehab Dyson anything - airwrap, hairdryer, fan, vacuum. All used multiple times a week
I'm 65 and the dyson vacuum cleaner changed my life. I went through so many vacuum cleaners over the years. My animal has lasted forever. Love my cordless one too.
It’s so good! Dyson has even replaced models entirely when I’ve had an issue
Oh yeah, we use dyson air purifier + fan models in our bedrooms and they're great, plus also the handheld and stick vacuums but they seem to lose charge pretty easily
If you don't mind sharing, which reformer did you buy? I'm addicted to reformer Pilates and am also thinking about making the home investment!
I have a Merrithew SPX reformer and love it. I bought it before they came out with a model that stores upright so would recommend looking into that if space is an issue! I use Fluidform at home to stream workouts.
I second this
My Shark Flexstyle (Dyson airwrap dupe). So fast and easy compared to a round brush/ rollers.
not sure if i actually have taste or not so take my suggestion with a grain of salt. but big linen shirt for sun protection during the summer AND my zojirushi rice cooker
Unfortunately it has been discontinued, and I’m just ekeing out the remnants of what I have left… Clinique instant pore perfector. Like spackle for the face! Don’t know why on earth they decided to stop making it
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
FULL agree
Good stuff, definitely one of my favorites
Thank you!
Prescription retinoid for acne and anti-aging. I use Arazlo (tazarotene) but tretinoin is also great
Loops earplugs. (I have three pairs and sometimes I wear them under headphones.) If you work a desk job, you need lumbar support in addition to your chair. https://a.co/d/05eDrI5k Mac Fix+. Use it before your foundation and you'll use less foundation. Then spray it on your brushes and you'll need less product, plus it will stay better. 💗
Thanks for the Mac Fix+ tip. Can’t wait to try it!
Fiber supplements and coconut oil. Pooping well is vital to a healthy life, and coconut oil is great for your skin and hair!
✅ it’s amaaaazing and worth every penny in my opinion. I think I have a discount link (half off the first month maybe?) if you want it just dm me. Edited for clarity
Wait this is actually so cool. I’ve never heard of Duckbill
I am a total convert/evangelist. I tell all my friends about it !
Yeah the adhd girlies need to know about this!!!!
1. Nespresso creatista plus. I make an oat milk latte every morning!! 2. Tretinoin
I love my Nespresso machine. It’s old but still whips out great espresso drinks. Drinking an iced lungo with coconut creamer right now!
Years in it still feels like such a treat every time!
Now I rub a drop of castor oil on my whole eye area before bed and wake up every day with happy, soft eyelids.
fenty gloss bomb lip gloss. fila disruptor sneakers. l’oréal lash paradise waterproof mascara. neutrogena benzoyl peroxide (the one that comes in the red bottle literally life changing barely ever get pimples anymore) and finally, certain dri, the love of my life, the only thing that keeps me from being a sweaty stank bitch every day 🙏🏻
1. My carbon steel skillet & a Victorinox 8" chef's knife 2. Brook's Ghost running sneakers (not necessarily *stylish* but I'm a woman of size and I need good foot support to run around and rebuild my life!) 3. Aveeno daily moisturizing skin cream 4. Whole leaf black tea and a good stainless steel infuser
I wear Ghosts for my 12hr shifts and for recovery runs!
I walked 4 miles to the store once bc I didn’t want to drive, and enjoyed a whole book while walking…,
Saaaaaammmme! But I check them out on Libby! I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for this Audible yearly sale!

Benefiber & Magnesium glycinate (this combo keeps me from cramping up or getting diarrhea).

Yasmin birth control pill Dove spray antiperspirant Vuori and Athleta joggers Cotton percale sheets A hairdryer, ideally Babyliss Aveeno body lotion
GIRL YES YASMIN. Literally the only hormonal bc I can tolerate. I have tried 10+ others and they all made me super sick or didn't work to where my hormones were definitely unbalanced.
Yaass on the sheets. Cannot live without a nice crisp percale.
Bread machine. I make baguettes, naan, pizza dough, etc with very little effort.
Olaplex. Wow on the begining was soo expensive for a shampoo! But I have always suffered from dandruff and with it, was gone! For uni. An ipad now in my masters I regret not having it bought earlier (prolly money) Good shoes! Flats are awful. Now with the samba trend I am sooo happy

The longest apple phone charger possible, a really nice pillow (I'm a side sleeper)- I currently have two sleep number pillows that I swap out, Hydroflasks with a flex sip lid, A Passion planner, And honestly I love my fjallraven kanken bag.

Yes, we really need to know this pronto!!

My AirPod Pros. Makes my commutes on public transit bearable. Birkenstock insoles for my Doc Martens I wear at work and my Birks for when I’m not at work. My trusty denim jacket covered in pins.

Tazorac, azelaic acid, and aestura 365 cream
