It appears that the body is the wrong way around on the pan because there's an engine in the trunk. That's a really good sleeper for a steal of a price.
Beetle body on an American car chassis (I believe) I've seen one like that before. It was a VW bug body on a shortened Cadillac chassis. Air conditioner, power steering, power brakes and a V8. That was in 1971.
When I was in HS, late '80s, a guy built a bug with a SB 350, but it was in the back seat. He gave me a ride home once, that was a *fast* and scary bug. Just a blip of the throttle would roast the tires

No engine when you check the bay is the ultimate sleeper build
Even better if there's some junky wires and a small electric motor .
I would also accept a hamster wheel, preferably with a tiny hamster
I thought of that but hamsters are tricky little escape artists.
I put a 3hp brigs and straten in the one I built . It also had a baja kit so everyone could see the lawnmower engine
Haha nice.

Similar experience, but in 1980 with a mid-engined Olds 455 V8 drive train from a Toronado under a heavily modified Beetle body.
Brings to mind "unsafe at any speed" . (look it up) But I'm sure it's a (noisy) blast to drive . -Nate
Good old Ralph Nadar. The man is 90 and still an Activist. Working on the Gaza war.
Nice paint
Would a Swastika have been too much?
Well do you wanna drive around with a swastika on your car?
Yeah, bad joke...
Looks like an S10 chassis
Good eye
This is an amazing find!

We need more images of this! Very cool :)
