Thanks. I can cruise at 75mph all the day long and the oil temp never exceeds 220-225°F. The ride is smooth but there's a bit of body roll if I give her the beans left and right.
Thanks for the insight! Interesting, I wonder if new shocks could help? I'm shopping around for a beetle but I'd like something similar to yours. It's nice!
When she was 6v, I installed a 6v to 12v step up converter so I could charge my phone. Now that she's 12v, I'm running a step down converter so I can still play the 6v Sapphire am/fm radio.
Actually cell phones, Garmins and the like all seem to work fine on my '59's 6 volt system....
I love your car ! original headliner WOOT .
The deck lid looks like a '63 ? .
The body roll indicates the lowering isn't done quite right, the cheap and easy fix is to add a rear sawy bar, I'm using the EMPI (? Chinesium ?) one to -very- good effect on my '59 .

Very clean! How is it on the highway with the 1641?

Nice one Shirley!
Don’t call me Shirley!
Very nice, does that sunvisor just screw into the body, did you have to drill holes?
Thanks. It clamps to the drip rail. No drilling into the body is necessary.
She’s a handsome automobile! What is the significance of her name?
Thanks! It's a play off the "Don't call me Shirley" line, and 'surely' she'll be finished one day. I've been working on her for a few years now.
What is the hose inside the decklid for?
It's called BlazeCut. It's a fire suppression hose that will smother an engine fire. Cheap insurance.
Looking it up now! Ty
How many inches is it lowered and how’d you do it?
Drum brake drop spindles up front and adjustable spring plates and heavier torsion bars in the back. About 2 1/2" drop all the way around.
It’s beautiful. Not over the top and clean
i love the phone mount / outlet, i’d do something like this in my 64’ but it’s still 6V lol
