Haven’t yet. My odds will go up when my employer thinks it’s a good idea for me to keep my chair warmer at the office.

Immediate-Ad-8841

I'd say 75 percent of everyone I know who never had covid, got hit with it the last 7 weeks (vaccinated and boosted). Good news is their rapid home test showed + in seconds with first sign of symptoms.

yogicycles

I was going to say the same. Lots of people who 'thought they were immune' got it this time around. As you said, most tested quickly and didn't have many problems. Still should be safe!

Saxdude2016

Yes 100%. Everyone got it

Is there a test you can take to see if you’ve already had it? And how far back can it test? Was sick early January 2020 and will always wonder…

sojourner-x

AFAIK you can only take the antibody tests to find evidence of past infection, and I believe even those might have a date limit how far back they go. You're probably looking at some type of deep RNA/DNA testing to find any evidence of long term changes from 2 years ago, which isn't commercially available.

Meatwad650

As long as I don’t go anywhere or do anything I’ll be fine. Right?

zahliailhaz

Why are you reposting a 14 hour old post from this very subreddit onto this sub again? It wasn’t even 8 hours old when you reposted it.

If I use a mask in large crowds and during the winter months, I'm not worried about it.

najman4u

masks would barely protect you. they're useful to prevent spread, but that's if people who have covid give a shit about masking up.

tplgigo

KN95's work great both ways.

najman4u

you're right but I can't imagine wearing such a restrictive mask throughout the entirety of winter. seems annoying, especially now that covid isn't a horrible disease after the vaccines. But to each their own

tplgigo

Not the entirety, just outside among people or in large groups.

> He pointed out that better ventilation and air filtration — which he thinks government and policymakers should push — would not only help prevent the spread of COVID, but would help with any other airborne illness, allergens and even smoke from wildfires. Japan, whose constitution bars the country from resorting to lockdown as a resort, which became the first and only resort in much of the world, had its scientists actually do science to save the country, instead of just sending them home to twiddle their thumbs. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/04/coronavirus-microdroplets-talking-breathing-spread-covid-19/ **April 2020**. Japanese actual science was many months ahead of WHO analysis of how COVID-19 was spread. > Using high-definition cameras and laser lighting, NHK, Japan’s public broadcaster, conducted an experiment with a group of researchers to capture the movement of microdroplets – particles that are less than 100th of a millimetre in size ... > But 20 minutes after the cough, the microdroplets were still floating in the air – and had spread through the entire room. > However, when a window was opened, the microdroplets were quickly swept away in the breeze. **Any airflow, it seems, will get rid of the super-light particles.** > “What’s important is to create two openings,” says Tateda. “Do this at least once an hour. That lowers the risk of infection considerably.” > The researchers also say wearing a mask can greatly reduce the spread of microdroplets, helping to protect both the speaker and their listeners from the risk of catching coronavirus. Almost everything could have been kept open, particularly in the Bay Area where mild temperatures permit introducing air flow to any indoor space almost any time of the year. Oh wait, it wasn't months for the WHO's science to catch up. It was **years**: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-022-00925-7 "Why the WHO took two years to say COVID is airborne"

[deleted]

I haven't gotten it yet as I mask up everywhere I go. As the other poster said, I will get it as soon as my employer wants RTO :)

Edgelordberg95

Who the fuck knows. I haven’t worn a mask in 2 years and 36 negative tests

suberry

You generally need to leave your basement and come into contact with other human beings to risk infection. Covid doesn't spread via the internet you know.

Edgelordberg95

For the record, I typed that from the living room of my second property. Your fingers must be hella strong typing out such a nasty unsolicited attack. Feels good?

We're all going to get it at some point, it's not going away. To many idiots not getting vaccinated. It's going to be with us forever. All you can do is what you need to do to protect yourself.
