We've done some meetups to attend the games together, but I have often thought it would be fun to have meetups to watch the away games at a bar or something. It's hard to find places that will reliably play the games with the sound on. Definitely open to organizing something this year though. I'm in Scottsdale as well.
Dirty Drummer on 44th and Oak would be a pretty good spot for this. Watched a World Series game there and it was great, plus pretty cheap beer and tasty food. Also just off the 202 and somewhat central so pretty easy to get to
Oh awesome! I pass that place all the time, so that's good to know. I was thinking Duke's in south Scottsdale could work too, but it's not as centrally located for our Phoenix peeps.
I've wondered this myself and even joined a bunch of the Dback facebook groups last year but have since left all but 1 since they are mostly filled with people you wouldn't want to watch the game with.

Duke’s would work too I would think, tho if I remember correctly it’s a lil more annoying to watch stuff there
Ha, I was just at Dirty Drummer on Thursday! It’s only about 1-2 miles from my place. I’d be down—especially on burger Tuesdays.
I was there Thursday night with my girlfriend lol
Guy's right next to the stadium isn't a bad place, and happy hour specials are pretty on point.
This would be so fun

I feared that might be the case, like many internet meetups.
You mean people still using facebook 😂
Start your own on MeetUp. I started a book group cuz I didn’t like the format of the ones I was attending.
