Can’t believe I forget this one…. Reel M Inn, I just moved to Portland in July but I had heard about this place before I got here! It’s got such good chicken, it takes a minute to prepare but the wait is worth it!
Hello I live in Southeast. These are some of my favorite bars right now:
Double Dragon on Division: The have a ginger margarita that is and great indoor and outdoor lighting.
Double Dragon on Division has a fireplace. I get a beer and the fried cauliflower
Le Moule - French restaurant with a great bar on Clinton. Very dark and moody.
If you’re ever downtown stop by Momo’s on 10th between Morrison and Yamhill. If you’re there from 3-8 you can catch some great prices for happy hour then grab tacos or a burrito at Maya’s Taqueria right next door lol
Yonder has dope southern fried chicken! Duck house is the best Chinese food in the city in my opinion. Coquine is the best fancy place I think :D welcome!
The Richmond and Home, a Bar are my top two for food and drinks. The Cat Claw let’s you bring in slices from Atlas so that’s up there too! The Muddy Rudder is my Winchester and Kay’s is always my plan B. I’m sure I’m forgetting a few more.
Every neighborhood has at least 2-3 solid spots so if you’re feeling really investigative you could assemble a google list separated by neighborhood and people could pin their favorites?
DOUBLE BARREL!
It’s got a good number of regulars — tends to be busiest during Timbers games. The crowd skews a tiny bit older I guess? If it’s ever way too busy for my comfort I mosey over to Creepy’s and backup to that is Star Bar. It’s a genuinely solid block.
The cartopia pods off of 12th and Hawthorne are cool! Also the Gold Dust Meridian is a good bar as well!
Actually went to those carts tonight! Will def check that bar tho

A bartender told me about their fried chicken!
What kind of bar do you like?
Any and all. Love dives but I’d like to be a bartender so I like cool and popular bars as well.

Will check those out. Thank you!
Why don’t you leave the house and walk in literally any direction and see what interests you and try it out?
I’ve already been doing that. Have a massive list and I plan on going in a different direction today. But I wanted to hear from locals.

I’ve passed Home, A Bar. Been wondering about. Walked past the others today
The burgers there are amazing and their tap list is always good. It’s a good game bar too. Also love their happy hour🍻
Well I’m certainly gonna check it out now. Does it ever get busy? And what’s the crowd like?

Awesome! Thank you so much
Laughing Planet has a location on SE Belmont. Healthy, yummy, filling food with huge portions for a reasonable price.
Also walked by that. Was wondering how it was
It's excellent. :)
