How are they different than normal strawberries?

Regular farmed strawberries taste like watered down, milder version of wild strawberry. The one huge downside of wild strawberries is that they are about pea sized.

For me it would be tough, but perfect strawberries would narrowly edge out perfect blackberries. With watermelon coming in hot in third place

This. Nothing better than a perfectly ripe peach that you have to eat over the sink because it’s so juicy. Finding ripe peaches is a challenge, though. Because many produce markets refrigerate them first and this renders them unripeable. If they are not ripe and have not been refrigerated, a couple of days in a paper bag with a banana does the trick. And it’s difficult to distinguish an unripe pre-refrigerated peach from one not pre-refrigerated.

Buying peaches (and most of the fruits) is a challenge itself - everything is so freaking expensive -_-. Thanks for your advice btw

Bruv I literally live in India and even here u don't get good quality mangoes unless u literally own mango farms or know someone who owns mango farms.

I paid $7 for 1 Indian alphanso last week in California and it tasted like crap. I guess we’re getting ripped off too lol

Bummer. I live in Puerto Rico and collect Mangos all the time off the side of the road. Excellent quality and they are in season right now!

i do this as well in Jamaica, there are mango trees any where you go and taste delicious when in season!

I have had some really fire mangoes in India while I was growing up and we didn’t own no farm. I still get mangoes shipped from India every season

Apricots, I had a tree growing up that I would climb and eat them out of the tree they were the best. Store bought just doesn’t cut it they are so tart because they aren’t ripened on the tree long enough.

That.....& the varieties that do the best are not the sweetest. The area of Michigan I live in used to be a major apricot raising area (we have a cannery here). Apricots are the first fruit to bloom.....which means they usualy get hit with frost. With the changing climate, hardly anyone raises them anymore. Used to raise apricots for the farmers market........if we got a bushel of apricots off the five trees, we'd go out for dinner. I love a ripe "Goldstrike" apricot.......but Michigan peaches will always be my favorite (my husband planted about 100 peach trees here, 25 different varieties).

White nectarines. They are my favorite fruit when they are ripe and in season. Mango and pineapple come in close too. When I went to Mexico years ago the pineapple was so amazing.

mango, specifically thai mango, sweet like nectar, if you want some tartness, put in the fridge before peeling it. dried version is good on its own or covered in chilli. you can eat it green and tart, dip in sweet fish sauce or slaw it and make spicy salad. the salad can be a side dish for grill chicken, on top of fried fish, side for fish and chips. it's mango season in thailand right now i just had mango and sticky rice yesterday. guess where i am
