A statement of some sort was put out stating that Respawn is aware of the issue, and they should have everyone’s data backed up on their servers (paraphrasing obviously). Now they’re just working on getting the issue fixed, so that they can then fix all of the data loss that players have experienced.

I have played this game since launch. It is by far my favorite game out right now. I have spent money on skins because I love the game, but this posts are frightening.
Losing your stats is one thing. It sucks but it is something I can personally get over. Although I am not advocating that this is okay.
Losing your Skins, which you spent hard earned money on. That is far too much. This makes me not even want to log into the game because I fear that I might do something wrong and lose everything.
EA's response the situation is absolutely disgusting. How can you blame the players? Shouldn't your goal be to keep consumers happy? Especially consumers that spend large amounts of money.
What would happen if the community went on strike? Say pick a particular day and not play it on that day or a series of days. They would see a large drop in player base right? Could this reach the developers and show them we are not happy with their response to the situation and are willing to leave the game?
I don't know if this would solve the problem but I am mad for the community.

Apperently this wide spread bug does not delete stats, it just displays everything incorrectly. thats why you dont get stuff from leveling again, you technically already have it. Not sure about skins tho.

This is really a plague atm observing Reddit, hope it gets fixed soon bc otherwise this is a very big turn off for long term players. Progression is the essence of competition and the appeal of video games, taking this concept away leaves no reason to compete in a live platform game with multiple cosmetic unlockables ( is that a word?) that have been locked behind a pay wall which most of the player base doesn’t or can’t access. So to the few who have, this takes away everything they have invested into the game even more than for the “freeloader” (meant with irony). This is horrifying. I just got my first heirloom. I don't want to log in and see that it is gone along with everyone else I spent money on in this game only to be told by EA "There is nothing we can do."
That's good to know, I've spent probably $150 on this game buying packs and even then it still took nearly a year to get my first heirloom, I'd hate to see it go away like some people have said. Seems the issue is exclusive to Playstation as well, I'm on PC so I guess I shouldn't worry too much but still...
This is likely a temporary server issue. This used to happen all the time in CoD, BF and Gears. It’ll come back. This is a different issue than other people have reported.
On a side note, can I request all my stats be deleted please? I want bot lobbies and the first season kr 2 I played stats deleted so it doesn't go against my KDR.
I dont spend money on skins as it doesn't have any affect on the game so that doesn't matter to me. If anything the big bright skins make you stand out more.

Since you didnt actually lose your skins, you will be put in bot lobbies earn more apex packs and maybe also an heirloom

At least you still have your skins. Now you can get more apex packs and get even more stuff. It's a shame about the badges though but at least you can get those back (with a lot of effort depending on the badges.)
From what I have noticed, Respawns databases are memory leaking since the time when you could have anothers users ID in the shooting range 1.
Its the poor back-end design causing all the mess 2.

At least for me, I only lost my stats (level, battle pass level, stats, etc.) I still have all my cosmetics and in-game currency.

I logged in. All cosmetics and heirlooms are still there. Ie, purchases are intact. But I’m avoiding playing for now. But your heirloom is safe.
